QB
Florida St.
Winston checks all of the boxes as the Buccaneers’ franchise quarterback. He is a polished pocket passer with the charisma and leadership skills to help the Buccaneers get over the hump in the NFC South.

2.

The Titans need a disruptive defender with the explosive athletic traits to play multiple positions in Dick LeBeau’s 3-4 zone blitz scheme. Williams should wreak havoc as the designated “bull in the china shop” along the frontline.

3.

OLB
Florida
The Jaguars would welcome a violent edge rusher with the grit, explosiveness and rush skill to dominate at the point of attack. Fowler would give Gus Bradley the disruptive playmaker the Jaguars need to bully opponents in the AFC.

4.
OAK.png
WR
West Virginia
It’s time to give Derek Carr a big-bodied, athletic pass catcher to target in the passing game. White has all of the tools to blossom into a dynamic WR1 in time.

5.

OLB
Clemson
New GM Scot McCloughan loves long, rangy athletes with speed and quickness. Beasley is a dominant pass rusher with exceptional first-step quickness and closing burst.

Missouri
The Jets desperately need a dominant pass rusher to make Todd Bowles’ aggressive system go. Ray is a gritty edge player with a non-stop motor and impressive first-step quickness.

7.

WR
Alabama
The most polished WR in the draft would be the ideal complementary playmaker opposite Alshon Jeffery. Cooper is a refined route runner with exceptional hands and ball skills.

8.

The Falcons need to become tougher and more aggressive at the point of attack. Collins is a hard-nosed edge blocker with a nasty disposition and a workmanlike game.

The return of Steve Spagnuolo could prompt GM Jerry Reese to fortify the defensive line by adding a big-bodied defensive tackle with strength, power and athleticism.

10.

The Rams could use a WR1, but adding a rugged interior blocker with grit and toughness would help Jeff Fisher build an offensive line that could dominate opponents at the point of attack.

11.

CB
Michigan St.
Mike Zimmer wants an ultra-athletic bump-and-run corner to pair with Xavier Rhodes on the perimeter. Waynes has impressed evaluators with his speed and explosiveness in drills; he also has solid game tape to back up his credentials as one of the top cover corners in the draft.

12.

OT
Miami
The Browns need an offensive tackle adept at moving people off the ball. The ex-Hurricane displays the explosive strength and power to handle a starting right tackle position.

13.

OLB
Nebraska
The fallout from a positive drug test could make the ex-Nebraska star a value pick for the Saints at this point. If Gregory can avoid off-field temptations, he could develop into a dominant edge defender in Rob Ryan’s 3-4 scheme.

14.
MIA.png
WR
Louisville
After jettisoning several veteran pass catchers this offseason, the Dolphins need to find a WR1 for Ryan Tannehill to thrive in a fast-paced attack. Parker’s size and athleticism would expand the strike zone for him.

15.
SF.png
DT
Oregon
With Justin Smith contemplating retirement, Armstead could be viewed as the perfect replacement along the line. His size and length makes him an ideal 5-technique in the 49ers’ scheme.

16.
HOU.png
CB
Wake Forest
The Texans could look for an Andre Johnson replacement at this point, but Kevin Johnson is a technically sound cover corner with the tools to eventually succeed Johnathan Joseph as the Texans' top corner.

17.
SD.png
QB
Oregon
Despite the presence of Philip Rivers, the Chargers could elect to nab the quarterback of the future at this stage of the draft. Mike McCoy has worked wonders with athletic QBs in the past (see Tim Tebow in Denver); he could help refine Mariota’s game for the NFL.

18.
KC.png
WR
Ohio St.
The Chiefs upgraded their receiving corps with Jeremy Maclin, but still need a legitimate deep threat on the roster to keep opponents from crowding the box to slow down Jamaal Charles. Smith would give Andy Reid a DeSean Jackson-like big-play weapon.

19.
CLE.png
DT
Texas
The recent signings of Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline alleviate some of the pressure to take a pass catcher in Round 1. They could opt to add a big-bodied run stuffer like Brown to a defense that’s rounding into form under Mike Pettine.

20.
PHI.png
CB
LSU
The Eagles want to upgrade the secondary to better handle the explosive offenses that reside in the NFC. Collins is a long, rangy press corner with the potential to blossom into a premier player at the position.

21.
CIN.png
OT
Stanford
Drafting a replacement for Andrew Whitworth is a sensible move for a perennial playoff contender. Peat is a true left tackle prospect with the footwork, length and girth to neutralize speed edge rushers.

22.
PIT.png
CB
Washington
The Steelers prefer defenders with toughness, tenacity and grit. Peters fits the mold and is an exceptional lockdown corner capable of executing a variety of techniques on the edge.

23.
DET.png
OT
Florida
The Lions need to reshuffle their offensive line to ensure Matt Stafford is protected in the pocket. Humphries exhibits intriguing qualities as a potential left tackle, allowing the Lions to slide Riley Reiff over to right tackle.

24.
ARI.png
OLB
Kentucky
The ex-Wildcat is a spectacular athlete with explosive speed, quickness and power. He is a better athlete than player at this point, but he could develop into a disruptive force when he settles in as an edge rusher in the Cardinals’ hybrid 3-4.

25.
CAR.png
OT
Pittsburgh
The Panthers need to secure the edges of the offensive line to help Cam Newton improve his performance from the pocket. Humphries is a developmental prospect with the length and athleticism to succeed at offensive tackle.

26.

RB
Georgia
Ozzie Newsome excels at finding Pro Bowl talents at the bottom of Round 1. Gurley could be the next candidate based on his remarkable physical tools and rugged running style.

27.

RB
Wisconsin
Jerry Jones would welcome the opportunity to replace DeMarco Murray with the most explosive running back in the draft. Gordon would anchor the Cowboys’ running game and give Jason Garrett the freedom to stick with the blue-collar approach that netted an NFC East title.

28.
DEN.png
C
Florida St.
The Broncos need to reboot their offensive line to become the physical unit capable of taking down the premier defenses in the AFC. Erving is a versatile blocker with the skills to play multiple spots along the frontline.

29.

SS
Alabama
The ex-Alabama standout is a versatile playmaker capable of playing down near the box or roaming as a deep middle defender.

30.
GB.png

Oklahoma
The most athletic defensive tackle in the draft could be an ideal replacement for B.J. Raji. Phillips can man the nose tackle position or play as a penetrating 3-technique in the Packers’ scheme.

31.
NO.png
WR
Missouri
After trading away Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills, the Saints need to add more weapons to the passing game. DGB has off-field issues, but he is arguably the most talented pass catcher in the draft and has the potential to make a Plaxico Burress-like impact on the perimeter.

32.

The combine star is more than a workout warrior. Jones exhibits solid cover skills and instincts in zone and has the athleticism to challenge receivers in man coverage.

Thoughts ...

- La'el Collins #8 and Flowers #12 have both shut up the board, which is bad for the Bengals if they want to go OL.

- This has the Bengals passing on Dupree, which is probably right even if he was available, now with MJ in the mix.

- DGB to the Saints at #31 ... plus they get Randy Gregory at #13 ... (best O and D player imo) :suicide:

- SS Landon Collins almost slipping out of the first round.

- Mariota now down at #17 ... which I think is about right. He's overrated and those that think the Bucs should take him are crazy.

- Arik Armstead now up to #15 ... many mocks use to have the Bengals taking him.

Armstead is no bueno. Doesn't fit our defense at all. And he's not anything special. No way Marriotta falls that fall. This mock draft is terrible! On a positive note glad your back BJ. You bring some much needed good humor to this board.

Armstead fits our defense perfectly, he's a 6' 8" 290 DE.

Signing M.Johnson, pretty much eliminates DE in 1st rnd imo. What are they going to do,put Dunlap on the bench making $6 million/yr.Not going to happen.OT is a big need, as Whiworth doesn't have much time left.Could also see DGB,as him and Green would be nightmare for db's.
