Some of that stuff will show up as the next part of Burrow's game and the evolution of the offense. And they'll do it without compromising the stuff that Burrow likes to do best--which means we'll still see plenty of shotgun, 4 and 5 wide, etc... . So, they got Moss because he can block and run from the shotgun. They got Gesicki who is Boyd's replacement, imo. They got a tackle who will let Burrow be more comfortable in the pocket and have more time to do his magic. This off-season is about becoming more flexible on offense, imo, and they have done a pretty good job of it --on paper. Not bad moves on the defensive side of the ball, either. So, Fuck Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Baltimore--they've got to beat us.

Here's another fun stat: the last time the Bengals weren't top 5 in pass attempt % they went to the Super Bowl. As I've said before a few times myself, he's been expected to hard-carry the offense with a plodder of a RB whose biggest contribution to the team was smiles. We'll see how they call games without him.

Versatility. Played FB at times. He is a huge cog in making the offense go. If you look at blocking TE's like Josh Oliver etc. I think he probably had a market and wanted to stay here. That deal is really just 3M per year not to have to replace our Blockig Te, That's not bad at all.

He's managed one full season in the past 5 years. Based on his average availability it works out to about half a mil per start. Until I know who will be playing RT the 2nd half of the season I'm gonna have to pump the brakes on all that backslapping just a bit.

IMO just seems like a position can CANNOT be weak at, so letting Dax learn is gonna ahve to come in blowouts and spot work, i can specifically remember 2-3 games where we needed one stop to get the ball back with a chance and gave up the play due to a CB or Safety shitting the bed (mainly cheeto) so the depth is great in case on injury and the talent boost is great. sucks for Dax's career trajectory, but we need to get a ring ASAP, so no hard feelings but no time for that right now.

Charlie needs to get stronger, that’s for sure. And I remember the one long pass when he hesitated at the end of the route and that was disappointing. But remember, TB didn’t knock it out of the park starting out… really, his third year was when he broke out… and the crew that he was part of wasn’t as good with Jerome Simpson et al as the one Jones was brought into. No doubt he needs to improve but I’m not ready to say he can’t play, and be a solid contributor. But yeah, obviously this fall will be big for him.

If it’s not a 1st AND another pick, take a hike. Bengals benefit more by having Tee out there playing for them versus giving him up for a day 2 pick who is anything but a sure thing. Tee is a sure thing and I’d rather have him play this year (and maybe next as well) on the tag and get nothing in return down the road then give him up for a day 2 pick.

I’m not sure why that would stir anyone up. The Bengals do not match up well with the teams in the North. The teams in the north haven’t had the success in the playoffs the Bengals have had because they can’t throw the football and turn into mush when they get down two scores. The Bengals are content to try and go 3-3 or even 2-4 in the north and dog walk the rest of the league. Might cost them a bye/home field but they’ve beat the Chiefs and Bills on the road so I’m not sure that phases them at all. The moves they’ve made have been to stop explosive pass plays and run their offense out of 11. They are gearing up to beat the Chiefs/Bills/Texans not the Browns/Stealers/Ravens

In the two years Burrow has finished the year healthy, we have gone to the AFC Championship game. Healthy, this team is not Carolina or the Patsies, its one of the best teams in the league. The League knows that.

My only concern with taking him at #18 is that he's run down only type of player and typically those guys aren't drafted in the first round, if he's there in the 2nd round then, yes, take him. Also, to your point these big guys get worn down as the season goes along, he needs to be apart of a deep rotation. The Eagles drafted Jordan Davis in the top 10 last year and by the end of the season he was useless because he was playing more snaps at a higher level than he had ever played in his life. Yeah, I think he had a medical issue which is why he fell last year and he did end up getting hurt...Brown would be an ideal signing, but pairing him with a first-round rookie RT would be a huge get. Just sign him to a big 1 year deal, similar to Collins, with tons of incentives on playing time. Looks like Karras and Joey B are going back to Ruby's...it's a tough job but those steaks aren't going to eat themselves...lol
