  1. The big advantage is Mike Brown doesn't have to pay their Greyhound fare to come to town when he calls a meeting. They all get a $10 Speedway gas gift card but they have to pay for their own Slushee.

  3. I would genuinely like to see a link to some sort of source or report that last years deal was intimated as a bridge to a long term deal because I haven't seen that anywhere. From what I see, he was coming off a bit of a down year with only 8 sacks, the FO gave him a $15M extension which is more than generous for that type of year, and he's mad that he signed it after now having a career year. What am I missing?

  4. Nobody has said anything about the Bengals going back on a verbal deal, including Trey. He signed an extension and then had a career year so thinks it should get him another raise. But the team can't give every player a yearly raise who outperforms their contract, especially with a salary cap. He made the wrong bet on himself by accepting too little and now wants a mulligan. Tough shit.

  5. The Bengals bet him on being a star player and won the bet. Fair and square. The players can't win every contract.

  8. I went to Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Columbus last night for a company function. I had never been there before, but now I understand why the Bengals choose that restaurant to wine and dine free agents. Even though we had a limited menu, everything I ate was amazing!

  9. Pretty easy to tell what the Bengals are most focused on with this draft. A whopping 15 of their 19 listed top 30 visits were with offensive/defensive linemen. DT Evan Anderson, FIU DT Johnny Newton, Illinois DT Justin Rogers, Auburn DT Maason Smith, LSU DT McKinnley Jackson, Texas A&M DT T'Vondre Sweat, Texas ED Chop Robinson, Penn State ED Gabriel Murphy, UCLA ED Xavier Thomas, Clemson OT Amarius Mims, Georgia OT Bayron Matos, South Florida OT Giovanni Manu, British Columbia OT Javon Foster, Missouri OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State OT Troy Fautanu, Washington S Daijahn Anthony, Ole Miss TE Erick All, Iowa WR Jalen McMillan, Washington WR Joshua Cephus, UTSA

  11. Trey Hendrickson is a power rusher that left many games with back issues and is 29. Trade him. He will never get to where he was last year. He doesn't have pass rush moves. He has a motor.

  12. The MikeFather: "When will these fucking clowns realize I don't give in to any demands. We made a deal, so you'll honor it, unless some other team makes me a trade offer I can't refuse. Do I look like a bitch in lipstick from Denver?"

  13. ^ Local worthless Cincinnati politicians better not fuck this up and try to run off the Bengals. "Accountability" for tax payers is a nice idea, but if they aren't going to apply it to military spending or foreign aid, then don't decide to be principled with one of the few joys we have left in this pre-apocalyptic hellscape. (gets off soapbox)

  14. Wait, is “H-Town” even a real thing? I can’t remember Houston ever being called H-Town. When I lived in New Orleans it was usually just referred to as Fucking Houston but I doubt the league would go with that.

  15. I am sick of every NFL team relying on dark navy blue. Brighter colors look better on helmets and jerseys. The dark navy and greens / grays reminds me of something that came out of a soulless, boring corporate focus group. Also bring back colored facemasks. Every helmet on the right is FAR BETTER than than the ones on the left.

  16. With Duke Tobin out with his Dad's recent passing, Mike Potts held the pre-draft press conference earlier today. He handled himself really well, I thought. Interesting to me that he mentioned on the analytics side that Elizabeth Blackburn has also created some reports that they use in scouting/draft prep. I know there's that Sam Francis guy and some others on the staff who do that analytics work full-time, but the fact that she's doing that, in addition to her other work - really impressive. I know she's really bright, and in addition to working on fan engagement, she's very hands-on regarding a lot of team things. But I didn't know she was involved at that level re: the on-field football operations piece too. But her Mom has been, between contracts and being on an NFL committee or two, so I shouldn't have been surprised. Anyway, it's posted on Bengals.com.

  17. Given the absolute thieves the bengals have become trying to steal my tickets, games i cannot make, i will have for sale at face value or REALLY close, at minimum way cheaper than market value. So if you need a pair or two pairs, let me know, I am in section 111 and 106, behind the bengals sideline/bench. figured id post it so its on peoples minds when the season hits. Ill post week by week or as I know my travel plans as they arrive.

  22. The Bengals controlled Browning's rights for the next 2 seasons exclusively, whether he liked it or not, as he is only counted as having played 1 year in the NFL (despite being in the league for several years). So they could have given him minimum deals the next 2 seasons, like an undrafted free agent and he would have to wait for each season to get that. Now, they have given him a 2 year contract, likely with a bump in pay (that they didn't need to do) and a little bonus, since he's made little in the NFL so far. He had to sign it, as he has no leverage at all. Basically, they gave him some security and more pay to keep him from being bitter about not getting to start for another team. And he accepted, as he realized he didn't have any other choice.

  23. Fair enough, but at this point you're assuming a lot of things based on feelings from how the Bengals did things 30+ years ago. I think the answer is a lot simpler than that.

  24. These aren't the old Bengals they have paid many players what they have deserved and more He can take a hike and I hope if he plays he's not a distraction to the team

  25. The team isn't going to trade him and under the CBA, he can't afford to hold out. So unless some other team wants to offer us a haul, he isn't going anywhere.

  26. When negative stuff about a player, ie Brian Thomas's "medical issue" comes out, it's usually a team that wants him hoping he falls to them. It's not called "lying season" for nothing.

  27. * If the Bengals trade up it needs to be for Alt, Nabers, or Bowers ... Potential franchise game changers. 🤨

  29. no doubt good news for Chase but re Tee, not that they’ll come to an agreement anyway - but Amon-Ra is a better WR IMO.

  36. Why not make these the full time jerseys? 😵‍💫 Instead of the hideous crap they switched to. I do not fucking understand how NFL teams can continually mess up their uniforms so badly. It is very simple what most fans want. How can billion dollar entities be so stupid about the most important aspect of their product, i.e. how it looks?

  41. SUMMARY: A three-year starter, McMillan worked primarily out of the slot in former Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb’s spread scheme (91.4 percent of his snaps came inside over the last two seasons). The highest-ranked recruit in the Huskies’ 2020 class, McMillan was Michael Penix Jr.’s top target in 2022, but he went somewhat overlooked in 2023, because of his injury and usage as an underneath weapon (71.1 percent of his catches came within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage). McMillan is a rangy pass catcher (his baseball background as a centerfielder shows) with first-step acceleration and sharp footwork to stair-step or deke coverage at the stem. I want to see him amplify his aggression when the ball is in the air, but he uses his length well to snare throws away from his frame. Overall, McMillan will need to prove he can handle the physicality of playing inside at the next level, but he has three -level potential as a pass catcher and will be an intriguing option for a team that prioritizes length and speed from the slot. Stylistically, his game reminds me of a juiced-up Jakobi Meyers. GRADE: 3rd-4th Round

  42. I would like to see these “people” and their expert findings. If it is just supposition from tank-topped TV blabbermouths, then question the source strongly. Are there any actual medical/psychological opinions? Otherwise it appears to be bollocks
