  1. Based on what? Hes never been a lead back for a NFL team and will probably be the 3rd down back here...he might be a better pass blocker but that remains to be seen because it's one thing blocking in AFC South but when you have to block against Watt, Garrett, and the Ravens defense it's a different story. I think we downgraded our RB room and we still need a big back to add to the mix. I feel like they are trying to be like the Chiefs, but in AFC North you need to be able to run the ball. The division is very physical and you need a big back that get tough yards and right now I don't see that guy on the roster. The Browns have Chubb, the Ravens just signed Henry, the Stealers have Harris..we have??? In my opinion, the Bengals need another lead back that move the pile and get some tough yards.
  2. Free agency has been very disappointing this year, it's like going back to school shopping and instead of going to Abercrombie and Fitch, Mom is taking us shopping at Value City. You can still get some nice fits, but you have to hunt for it..
  3. That stat is questionable, because how do they know what to expect on every play..maybe their expectations are too low..
  4. According to Forbes, the Cincinnati Bengals' revenue in 2023 is $498 million and based on the increase in the salary cap the 2024 revenue will be even higher, so $22 million is %4 of the annual revenue...or crumbs. The Bengals don't have to pay him, but that doesn't mean he should not get what he deserves, which is a long-term deal at market value, which is around $22 million a year.
  5. This is ridiculous, the salary cap is not what keeps the NFL the most popular sport in the US...lol....noone watches the NFL for the salary cap....it's watching some of the best athletes in the world commit acts of controlled violence while doing choreographed dance moves, that's why it's the most popular sport. Also, only half of the teams go into the season with the hope of winning it all...do you think the Panthers, Patriots, Broncos, Commanders, Bears, Vikings, Cardinals, Colts, Raiders, Titans, and Giants fans think they are going to win the Super Bowl this year? The salary cap doesn't create parity, revenue sharing creates parity. Other sports have parity and they are able to spend over the salary cap. The MLB ratings are down because the game is too slow, which is why they are implementing changes to speed it up. Also, the Yankees and Mets spend over the cap every year and rarely win the World Series, so yeah..that argument is not based on facts. NFL players are not average Americans, they are the top 1% of all the people in their profession so that's why they make more money than the average American. No one is asking you to storm the barricades, you are being unnecessarily dramatic, it's just calling an athlete and his agent greedy pieces of shit because he wants to maximize the one opportunity he has had to make the most money he can to take care of him, his family, and future generations is what is confusing and clown behavior. You say you are no fan of corporations exploiting their workers, but if the workers make more money than you then it's ok for them to be exploited...got it...that makes sense..🙄 The salaries are capped, just because it's increasing every year doesn't mean it not capped....this is a pretty simple concept, and once again not following your logic on this one. If Social Security payments have a cost of living adjustment does that mean it's not capped, of course it is. The amount of money that every NFL team can spend on player's salaries is capped every year, the number is publically reported as well. Burrow didn't have to hold out because the Bengals offered him the market rate for the top salary at his position, when he signed his deal he was the highest-paid player at his position. That was not the case for Tee Higgins, at no point did the Bengals make him an offer to be one of the highest-paid players at his position. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison. Also, why shouldn't Tee try to get everything he can on this contract? He's not guaranteed another opportunity to do so and the fact that you're holding that against him is weird and hypocritical. Do you not try to make as money as you can at your job or are you fine with being paid less so someone else can get paid as well, no in this Once again, the owners are deciding who gets paid what, so I wouldn't expect QBs to take less, the owners need to pay more. If they want to protect their investments they will do that, the Eagles just paid their LG $87 million, so some forward-thinking owners are doing just that...not the Bengals, but some owners are. No, that's not what I'm saying at all...I'm saying teams can spend more money on salaries, I thought I was pretty clear on that. The MLB and NBA both have salary caps, but they allow the teams to spend over the cap if they want to and pay a luxury tax. Meanwhile, the NFL is the only major sports league that doesn't allow their franchises to spend over the arbitrarily set salary cap, but they have the highest profits of all the major sports leagues in the country. In 2022, the National Football League (NFL) generated $18.6 billion in revenue from all 32 teams. This is the highest amount the NFL has ever earned, they can easily increase the salary cap but that would cut into their profits and they are willing to do that. That is greed, they can easily afford to spend $100 million more per team on salaries but they don't want to. So yeah, continue to call Tee Higgins and his agent greedy pieces of shit because they are fighting for crumbs while the players sacrifice their bodies for your entertainment and make billionaires more money.
  6. They also have one of the best QBs ever, so yeah...there's that...Mahomes is in a league of his own, I don't even like the guy but he's the best in the business right now...and he has a HOF TE..
  7. It's been reported for decades tha Bengals don't negotiate in-season, not sure where you heard that it was Tee that closed off communication...besides the Bengals season has been over for 60 days now...plenty of time to reach out if they wanted to talk.
  8. The owners of the NFL created a salary cap, it's not mandated by law...if they wanted to pay the players more they could easily do that. They are making billions in net revenue every year, they have the extra money to spend but they choose not to. If anyone is greedy in the scenario it's the NFL, it's a collection of greedy organizations that want to maximize their profits while paying the labor as little as possible while capping the salaries of its employees, they don't cap their earnings but they cap their salaries..you see what I'm saying. Drew Sample is going to get what he can negotiate for, just like any other player in the NFL...Tee Higgins taking less money isn't going to make the Bengals pay Drew Sample more. Also, I don't recall you saying anything about the Drew Samples of the world when Joe Burrow signed for over a quarter of a billion dollars... I don't follow your logic on this one as it's been reported that Boyd will not be back and he knew that going into the season this was his last year in Cincy, meanwhile the franchise QB said he wanted Tee to come back. The pie was created by the team owners and they could do away with the salary cap as that was created in a different era, when they weren't making billions of dollars in media deals on top of their other revenue streams. Also, it what company do lower performing employees make more money than high performing ones...you're whole argument is flawed...
  9. The Bengals haven't had any conversations about extending Higgins in over a year but somehow it's Tee and his greedy agents' fault...make it make sense. The tag helps the teams keep labor on short-term deals that benefit them, not the players. They get to pay these players what they would get on the open market without the player having the ability to go where he wants to go or to whom will pay him the most amount of money...if you were in the same situation as Tee Higgins you would do the same thing if you were smart and had a good agent. Also, how is he throwing a tantrum, he's asking to be traded to a team that wants to give him a long-term deal...does that make him a child...wtf is Paul Dehner talking about...the Cincy sports media is a weird bunch.
  10. The agent is doing his job, which is why so many good players have decided to make him their agent. From a player's perspective, they have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get as much money as they can so having an agent that maximizes that opportunity makes sense. NFL franchises find ways to pay the players they want to keep, if your favorite team isn't paying for your favorite player you should be angry at the team for being cheap, not the player for wanting to get paid for his services or the agent for doing his job. David Mulugheta is looking out for the players by getting them something every other pro sports league has, fully guaranteed contracts and maximizing their earning potential. NFL franchises make billions of dollars every year, but most of the players play on contracts that allow them to be cut for a fraction of what they agreed to, that is a broken system that needs to change for the betterment of the players and Mulugheta is leading the charge to do that. He's not screwing over his clients by convincing them to take team-friendly deals that favor the multi-billion dollar organization in hopes that he will be able to do business with them in the future as some agents do. He's acting as a fiduciary and putting his client's financial future first because he knows that one team will eventually pay and ultimately the more money you can make by playing in the NFL the better.
  11. Anyone who is mad at Higgins or his agent is a complete clown, Tee's doing what's best for him and his future as are the Bengals. If the Bengals valued Tee they would re-sign him to a long term deal, they clearly don't. His agent is doing his job, getting the most money possible for his client...if you had an skill set that required you to have an agent you would want an agent just like the one Tee has. If you want to be a mad at someone, look at the Bengals front office for not paying Tee what the market will give him. I can't fathom why anyone would side with a multi-billion dollar corporation over an individual that is producing the product and putting their literal lives on the line while doing so, you would think that fans of the sport would want to see their favorite players get paid what they deserve, which is the best deal they can negotiate when they have a hot market for their services.

  13. maybe but the Bengals could offer him a 2 year deal at $10 MM plus per year, not sure where you are getting this $5 mil or less number from. Going cheap on offensive line isn't going to work and the Bengals know this, which is why they have bought in expensive free agents in the past few years, no reason to think they will stop that trend.
  14. big difference between Smith and Collins He's the perfect bridge player for a 1st or 2nd round pick at RT, let a young guy learn behind a proven vet who has played at a HOF level
  15. They already said they aren't re-signing him, they are allowing him to be a FA. https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2024/3/5/24089573/dallas-cowboys-offensive-line-free-agent-tyron-smith-tyler-smith-terence-steele-tyler-biadasz
  16. Agreed, just because it worked for Browning doesn't mean they will do it for Burrow. As I recall Burrow doesn't like playing under center and prefers to play in shotgun, it helps him see the field and process the defense quicker, but it remains to be seen how things will play out in 2024
  17. Tyron Smith and a rookie RT would be an ideal solution, IMO.
  18. Is Browning going to be the QB for the Bengals for the rest of the decade? He might have had a good 4-5 game stretch, but overall his performance has been subpar, he needs to be replaced or at the very least given legit competition to earn his job. He was given the starting role in 2022 and didn't have to compete vs anyone in 2023, the stakes are too high and his previous performance is too low to just hand him the starting job without any real competition or threat of being replaced.
  19. So you are saying that if the Bengals released Volson today he would be a starting LG for another NFL team, I wholly disagree, but to each their own. BTW, Volson had a 58.3 PFF grade for the 2023 season, which would be below average. He's the only player on the o line that is considered to be a weak link that needs to be replaced as well https://gridironheroics.com/bengals-options-at-left-guard-2024/ Taylor is a pass-oriented HC/play caller that loves to dial up the throws, even to the detriment of the offense and his players...see Burrow's torn ACL in his rookie year. You can't have an awful LG that allows your QB to be pressured up the middle like Volson does on a consistent basis, he can't pass protect at a high enough level to be a starter in the NFL on a team that will win the SuperBowl.
  20. At no point was Volson very good, maybe less bad but he was not very good. He gets overpowered frequently and is a liability in pass pro, the Bengals could upgrade at LG easily. If Volson was released today, do you think there would be a bidding war for his services or would he be a backup on most teams...he's a backup that is starting because Pollack likes his grit or some intangible BS that deflects from his obvious lack of ability to play at the NFL level.
  21. Volson gets all the chances to get Burrow hurt, Frank Pollack is looking bad continuing to back this guy who obviously needs to be replaced.
  22. Somebody tell Duke Tobin I can start tomorrow...because you are looking at the new Bengals Draft Guru...yes, I know the position doesn't exist on the org chart, but after this mock draft I just completed it the Blackburn/Brown family will have no choice but to create it. It's got everything, game changers...check, depth at CB and RB...check...RT, OC, and TE of the future and present...check...DT depth...check.....I made this draft my bitch...who's yo daddy, NFL draft...me that's who...
