  1. no offense, but that would be the worst pick ever. Alabama RB's are notoriously overhyped because they play with so much talent and they get beat up in practice so when they come into the NFL they are injury prone. Outside of Derrick Henry, I can't think of the last Alabama RB that was worth a first-round pick. Besides Gibbs is tiny, 5'8" 200 lbs, and isn't known for his blitz pickup. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jahmyr-gibbs/32004749-4219-8578-ca06-2b870fe6f731. Sure he's fast but so is Chris Evans and he much bigger. OT, TE, or CB in the first round round. I would rather we get a WR or DE/DT before we get a RB.
  2. Apparently, Lamar is credited with recruiting OBJ. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/10/report-lamar-jackson-recruited-odell-beckham-to-baltimore/
  3. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens draft a QB early, which will diminish Lamar's leverage. The lack of an agent has hampered Lamar's ability to gauge the market for his services and have conversations that will protect his ego. He's going to watch the draft realize that there is not a huge market for his services and Baltimore doesn't need him like he thinks they do.
  4. Their former GM Steve Kiem is going on a media tour telling the world how bad at his job he was and blaming everyone else in the process. That organization is a shit show, but the Bidwell family is a circus so I'm not surprised. Most of these legacy NFL teams like the Cardinals, Giant, Bears, are run by nepo babies that have no connection to football or clue about how to run a successful football franchise.
  5. Who is going to throw him the ball, I guess for 15-18 million dollars he doesn't care.
  6. Is this one of Andy Reid's criminal sons...or maybe a nephew
  7. Maybe he wants to have the leverage to keep management accountable and ensure they don't take him for granted. This is a business decision so all of those emotional ties you listed don't matter, ultimately. Joe only has one shot at this so he has to maximize the opportunities, no other logical choice. Maybe Joe wants to play in NYC, LA, or a major market before his career is over. A short term extension makes a ton of sense for Burrow and he has the leverage. Cincy can't afford to be in a Lamar situation with Burrow, the townsfolk would riot. NFL teams are having to deal with a new dynamic of players having more leverage than ever in contract negotiations. Burrow is the vanguard of this new reality.
  8. Officer Ruberg, who filed the initial charge, was later disciplined, Lt. Jonathan Cunningham said previously. If he's convicted of this then his might be the final straw to send him packing. If you combine his salary, lack of production, and off the field incidents then it makes sense as to why Bengals would move on from Mixon. If he could learn to pass block then maybe he would really be untouchable, but he sucks at it so throw the book at him..lol.
  9. I understand that but Joe isn't obligated to sign anything, if he's smart he wouldn't lock himself into a long-term deal as Mahommes did.
  10. Maybe Joe doesn't want a 6 year extension, he may want to see where the market and the team is at in 4 years and have the option to decide if he wants to stay in Cincy.
  11. Because his Momma is all he needs...have you never the TV show..The Game. It's about a star QB whose Mom is his agent. There are plenty of players that don't have agents, he'll Roquan Smith didn't have an agent but reset the market for LB contracts with the Ravens cutting the check.
  12. Alot of last years slow start had to do with Joe Burrow having surgery a month before the season started and a freak injury to our long snapper...hopefully neither one of those things will occur this year. When the NFL added an extra week to the regular season this is the byproduct, teams using the first few weeks as the preseason to avoid injuries...after all its not about how you start but how you finish.
  13. Lamar and his must have been big fans of the show The Game...He's Malik and she's Tasha Mack
  14. FA has slowed down so the media needs content, top 5 list are so lame and lazy...especially one that's are intentionally done to illicit a response.
  15. We should draft only to sit him on the bench for 5 years..it would be worth it.
  16. I see a Bengals Boys song in the future...hopefully.
  17. Someone should kneecap JP Jr. as payback...fuck Joey Porter, he's a certified bitch. Between that and the 2015 playoffs, he's definitely one of the main reasons why I hate the Stealers, they worship that asshole so that tells me everything I need to know about the culture of the org and fanbase.
  18. Levi was so underrated...he was the best LT they had since Munoz retired.
  19. They could always move Taylor back to RT and let Jonah rock out at LT...I would love to see that happen..
  20. I'll never forget when his dad damn near killed that ref that took out his eye...that was classic
  21. He could also get the 3 strikes and go away for a long time if convicted...I wouldn't be surprised to see Mixon's sister take the fall for this to save her boo from going bye-bye for decades over something that was extremely avoidable.
