  1. Nice find and thanks for posting. Latham is all over the place, isn't he?
  2. I do like the sound of that... "move up" I would be all over it in round two. Like someone said, we have too much talent already for ten rookies.
  3. Latham going that high? And over Alt? I think I would prefer Mims over Fuaga but I'm so confused and conflicted over every OT not named Alt I don't know which was is up. Yeah, Murphy will be gone. I do like the Stealers not taking an O lineman, esp Jackson Powers-Jackson (or Mims). Or us not taking Brian Thomas, for that matter. Anyway, if the draft shook down something like this and C P-J fell our of the first round, I would trade our second and at least one of our thirds to trade up for him if we could. I would really like that guy in the center or our line for a decade.
  4. Not the first round but my draft nightmare is Carman over Creed Humphrey,
  5. You are winning me over. Better to trade him a year too early than a year too late. Age and back issues are a concern. I say there's a good chance he retires after next year no matter where he is. I'm also thinking no team would give all that much for him in a trade, anyway. Great guy and addition to the team but his best football days are behind him.
  6. Buffalo apparently wet to trade up from 28 for a wide receiver. That will push a guy we want down lower into our wheelhouse. One of the primo OT's. Murphy will be gone. unfortunately.
  7. Prom night? Joe Burrow's right forearm looks like Popeye's. A good thing.
  8. Per my previous post... I am more worried about Jackson Powers-Jackson doing this and he will be there waiting when the Steals make their pick. As far as trades, I think that is more likely to happen for us in Round 2. Our 49 plus the freebee second third rounder to move up... for a slider.
  9. Yeah... going with "it has to be true because I read it on the internet'... I would not be surprised if this is to. My first choice is Murphy but he will be long gone. The four OT's I like who may or may not be there (not counting Alt) are The Three F's,, Fautanu, Fashenu, Fuaga and Mims I would go for a patented Bengals surprise move. I would like to see Jackson Powers-Johnson in stripes, in the interior of the O line for a long time to come. Paul Brown said "Start with a Center and build around him" (paraphrase)... and he took Bob Johnson. And as much as I hate to say it, it is what the Stealers do. Webster to Dawson to Pouncy ... how many decades of pro bowl and eventual Hall of Fame centers? Besides, if we don't get him the Stealers will and make meh running backs into all pros. He would certainly open some holes in the middle of the line for Not Mixon to run through and if Mixon was still here it would be someone else for him to run into and fall on his ass. (OT... Mixon's sister's trial was yesterday for shooting that kid with a mini assault rifle) My question about Jackson-Powers-JIngleheimer-Schmidt is he like Dave Rimington, too muscle bound to get his steroid amped arms through his legs to snap the ball. Ain't gonna happen and TYVM
  10. If they pass on a RT for anyone but Byron Murphy I will be unhappy. If they do take Murphy in the first... pipe dream, he won't be there... I would trade #49, #80 and #97 to the highest bidder and take the best O lineman with that pick including Centers and OG's.
  11. The big advantage is Mike Brown doesn't have to pay their Greyhound fare to come to town when he calls a meeting. They all get a $10 Speedway gas gift card but they have to pay for their own Slushee.
  12. CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed two quarterbacks on Tuesday: Jake Browning and Logan Woodside. Browning, a second-year player from the University of Washington, signed a two-year exclusive rights contract through the 2025 season. After Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow got hurt in the 2023-24 season, Browning stepped up and played in nine games, seven of which he started. According to his stats, he led the Bengals to a 4-3 record as a starter, completed 171 of 243 passes for 1,936 yard and scored 12 touchdowns. Woodside, who is a fifth-year player from the University of Toledo, has played in 13 career games for the Tennessee Titans and the Atlanta Falcons. He has completed four of seven passes for 34 yards.
  13. And complain and whine bitterly about being interfered with while doing so,
  14. https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/2024/04/22/bengals-close-eye-mel-kiper-favorite-2024-nfl-draft-ot-prospect/ The Bengals are know for surprises in the draft. No, I do NOT expect to see this guy in round one. Last I heard of him was justrightnow. But if he's there in round 3... worth a thought. Bengals should keep close eye on Mel Kiper's favorite 2024 NFL draft OT prospect Most fans know the big names to watch for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2024 NFL draft. But this late in the process, experts are more than happy to reveal some of their favorites who might currently fly under the proverbial radar. Take ESPN’s Mel Kiper, who just listed his favorite prospects at every position in the draft — and his name at offensive tackle is a surprise. It’s one the Bengals front office — and fans — should probably keep in mind, too: Washington offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten. (who?) Kiper says Rosengarten has gone overshadowed because of teammate Troy Fautanu (who Kiper lists as his favorite guard), but that he could slip into the first round: Sez Mel... "Rosengarten might have been a top-10 pick in next year’s draft if he had stayed in school for another season. That’s how highly I think of him. The 6-foot-5 308-pounder started at right tackle for the Huskies over the past two seasons, and he did not allow a single sack on 1,158 pass-blocking plays in that time frame. He locked down the blind side for left-handed quarterback Michael Penix Jr." This all puts Rosengarten is a really sweet spot for the Bengals. Maybe they agree with Kiper and strike a trade down from No. 18 to secure him later in the opening round while also acquiring more high-value draft picks. But the other side of that might be a trade up from No. 49 in the second round on Day 2. If Rosengarten slips to the second round, the Bengals have 10 picks and only so many roster spots, anyway. If they value him as long-term option behind Trent Brown, that’s worth a move up on Day 2. If nothing else, Rosengarten is clearly someone who should be on the mind of Bengals fans as things progress this week.
  15. Besides Bowers who won't be there, top priorities have to be O line and D line.
  16. Oh, I totally agree. Someone will slide I simply do not think it will be Murphy. If he does, The Bengals should be on him like Stink on Stealers. As we know... five of the top 17 will be quarterbacks some of whom artificially inflated because next year is a poor quarterback draft (per an article I read and cannot find) barring a few early declarations (Arch's grandson and namesake?).
  17. J.C. Latham. I'm good with that. Hope he drops to 18. My thinking is if we see these guys as special (Murphy, Mims, etc) so do other people and they will be gone. Latham projects quite high in the OT rankings and hope he drops. But In Dave I Trust.
  18. I'm doing my annual abstaining for fear I will jinx it. And I would like to see T Dub uncloak from the stealth mode and vote. And whoever we pick... I hope we Fuck the Stealers. That has a nice ring to it, Fuck the Stealers.
