8675309
Nah, I don't see any way to motivate JaMarcus. He has known that the raiders weren't happy with him and he never made any attempt to improve his play or attitude with millions on the line. I can't see a vet. minimum contract motivating him. I could see him being broke and wieghing 400lbs in 5 years.
Since 87
I should write a Bleacher Report article about why Bleacher Report articles and authors are retarded. But I see the conundrum. If I did, I'd be sure to spam it here like this dude and let you guys know.
CougarQuest
Looks like someone is trying to promote their site. |SF2|
I am a big LSU fan and I say NO WAY we take this guy. He was one of the most overrated college QBs in history. When you have a massive offensive line and blazing speed at every skill position in college, it really isn't that hard to look really good. Also, when your defense is so good that your average starting position is the 40 yard line, it helps a bit. Seriously, he never had to make any on field decisions. The guy just had to run the simple play that was sent in and let the players do the rest. Doesn't (obviously) translate into NFL talent. He can't read a defense so why take him on? His big arm would only get him into big trouble at this level.

Mathew Stafford is not included on that list because he has only played one season, but his 227.6 per game would rank 10th just ahead of Aaron Rodgers. Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco, who launched the Ocho Cinco News Network last year as part of a brilliant personal marketing campaign, has dropped a very strong hint regarding the next destination of former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Ochocinco says to Russell, "I'll see you at minicamp" and then, "Oops, did I just leak that info?" (Which is dangerously close to, "Did I do that?" . . . which makes us think that Chad perhaps should be doing the Urkel on Dancing with the Stars.) In response, ESPN's Adam Schefter claims that the Bengals and others have called Russell, but that "there are no plans for him to be at any minicamps now." If the Bengals sign Russell, it fits with their M.O. of finding bargains. Though the Bengals have a franchise quarterback in Carson Palmer, some think that an elbow injury that plagued him in 2008 was still bothering him in 2009.

oldschooler
The Bengals have inquired about recently-released Oakland quarterback JaMarcus Russell but that is the extent of it so far. Russell’s agent, Ethan Lock, issued a terse no comment when asked about the rumors of Russell heading to the Bengals. Earlier in the day, Chad Ochocinco on this Twitter feed said that he would see Russell at the June 16-18 minicamp. Considering who the Bengals have signed recently and the fact that they offered Michael Vick a contract last year, is this really a surprise to anyone? So maybe it shouldn't have been all that surprising Tuesday when speculation begin filtering into the NFL newsroom that recently released QB JaMarcus Russell could be Cincinnati-bound. It started with this Tweet from the omnipresent Chad Ochocinco. Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer followed with his Tweet relaying a "no comment" from Russell's agent, Ethan Lock. So, now the speculation is spinning full speed, just a few hours after the Bengals introduced their latest project, Adam Jones, to the media. As we noted last week, it seems to be a certainty that Russell will surface somewhere, and if the Bengals put in a call, that wouldn't be a surprise. Chatting with Warren Sapp a few minutes ago, I know he likes the 49ers (imagine that) as a destination for the former Raiders QB. Anyways, stay tuned. bengaled
why not take a shot at him? let zampese work with him under a no pressure schedule, which was a completely different scenario than what he faced in oakland. let him actually have the time to develop, under good coaching. even before he was drafted, this is what they said jamarcus would need. so why does it surprise anyone that he failed when that program was rushed? i'd have no problem whatsoever, giving him a shot vs. palmer jr. obviously, the weight has to be addressed, first and foremost. al davis would pay for his high salary and we'd sign him for peanuts. a #1 pick for peanuts...how can you pass on a deal like that? despite what his naysayers would tell you, there's a reason he was selected so high

I'll give you Stafford, he actually does like he will turn into a good QB if the Lions don't get killed first.
