Find me a tiger with orange stripes and I'll think about it.

I've always loved this helmet and have no idea why they wouldn't consider changing to that.

If you wouldn't mind, how much did you pay for everything altogether and where would you get this sort of thing done?

I've never really liked that reverse stripe thing.  I'd rather have that tiger logo.  But that does look pretty mean.

That helmet may actually come into being.  Look at Paul Brown's office:

Remember it's just an internet message board where you are talking about pro football players. If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy.

Find me a green eagle, blue lion, and a blue bill. We should wear those helmets at least twice a year.

Very dumb. Actually, the helmet behind Marvin, same concept, looks much better than the helmet that starts the thread. The orange stripes are too spread out.

Owned! Lol, he must also hate the orange stripes on the jersey sleeves too.

I've always loved this helmet and have no idea why they wouldn't consider changing to that.

I don't mind, the black Oakley visor was $65 and the helmet is $200, I met a guy online that makes them.

It follows the same model as their helmet now, just reversed colors.

That's pretty cool, but I gotta stick with the one behind Marvin. The colors and the stripes layout are more....."Bengals", if you will. Still, that is one nice piece of swag to have.

December 17, 1989 - Head coach Sam Wyche was known as an emotional, quotable and outspoken leader. A rivalry developed with the head coach of the Houston Oilers, Jerry Glanville. In an extremely unusual move for an NFL coach, Wyche grossly inflated the final score on Glanville's Oilers. Up 45-0 in the final period, Wyche called for a fourth down conversion attempt (which was successful), and an onside kick (also successful). The final score was 61-7. After the game, Wyche said his only regret was that Bengal kicker Lee Johnson missed an extra point.

I was thinking the same thing. Cool collectibles like this are something to be proud of.

Some people are jackasses, especially considering we are all fans of the same team whose helmet you customized.

The visor was a nice touch

Yeah, cuz other teams are dumb for just having cool logos/helmet designs that actually aren't based on a real living animal.

I won't be as blunt as Smizno, :) but he has a point.  The decals look as though they were sized and shaped properly (except for perhaps the second one from the back), but something got lost in the application.

bengalspaulbrownhelmets_3.jpg

Man, we got lucky if those were the choices.

Looks like four of the six helmets on Paul's desk are the same design, a goofy looking letter B serving as the background for a letter C adorned with fangs.

Frankly, I'm tempted to call the toothy letter C the worst design I've ever seen, but I can't...because the helmet with the smaller cat head logo on the sides, and a large cat head logo on the back, is even worse.

In fact, both of the cat head logos look oddly Etruscan.

I remember seeing that picture in the newspaper. The article in the paper explained that Katie and her kindergarten class drew some helmet designs for her grandfather to possibly use for her grandfather's new football team.

Frankly, I love our helmets just the way they are.  I wouldn't mind it as an "alternate" with the orange jerseys though.

Never heard that before, but now that you mention it the Etruscan looking logo on the side of the helmet looks like a kids project made out of macaroni, glitter, and paste.

Probably would  need a clear visor though.
