|High School Harry| Posted September 18, 2014 Report Share Posted September 18, 2014 Jonathan Dwyer, Cardinals running back, arrested on aggravated assault charges Published September 17, 2014 Associated Press PHOENIX – Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been arrested on aggravated assault charges in connection with two altercations at his home in late July involving a 27-year-old woman and an 18-month-old child. Phoenix police announced the arrest Wednesday, the latest in the string of cases involving off-the-field violence by NFL players. The Cardinals said they became aware of the situation on Wednesday and are cooperating with the investigation. He has been deactivated from all team activities. Victim lied to police on night of the incident, telling them he was no longer at the scene, all because he had threatened earlier to kill himself in front of here and the child. She then refused to press charges until recently when he started sending her pictures of a knife he claimed he'd use to kill himself if she didn't forgive him.
