After Friday's practice, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said wide receiver A.J. Green is on track to play in Sunday’s game (1 p.m.-Cincinnati’s Channel 12) against the Jaguars at Paul Brown Stadium.

"A.J. has looked fine," Lewis said. "He wants to play. He's telling everybody he wants to play. If everything stays the way it is, he'll play."

Green, who hasn't played since Oct. 5 in New England, returned to limited practice this week and is being called questionable.

As expected, running back

Giovani Bernard (hip, shoulder) didn’t appear for practice Friday morning on the Paul Brown Stadium turf as the Bengals went through the last full-scale workout before the game. They officially ruled him out for Sunday, but Lewis says he'll wait and see on Thursday's game at PBS against Cleveland.

But unexpectedly defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) didn’t work after going through Wednesday and Thursday practices at full go as he tries to get back on the field for the first time since the Sept. 14 victory over Atlanta. He was called questionable, as he was last week when he went full Wednesday and Thursday and went limited Friday before not playing Sunday.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins returned Friday after sitting out Thursday’s practice to rest his knee. Right guard Kevin Zeitler (calf)didn't work, hasn't all week and is doubtful for Sunday. So are middle linebacker Rey Maualuga (hamstring) and cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hamstring) after they didn't work this week.
