SocalBengalEd
Nico Johnson should be solid in the middle. He's a natural thumper in the middle of a 4-3. Excited to have Thompson back too.

bubba
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Jeremiah George’s first NFL defensive snap will come in his first NFL start. George, a rookie from Iowa State, will start at middle linebacker for the Jaguars against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday. With George starting, J.T. Thomas will return to the Otto position. The Jaguars also made left tackle Luke Joeckel active for the Cincinnati game. He had been expected to play, having practiced full Friday after missing Wednesday with a concussion sustained the previous Sunday in a loss to Miami. Joeckel will start against Cincinnati. Thomas, a starter at the Otto linebacker spot in Weeks 4-7, started at middle linebacker last week with Paul Posluszny having been placed on injured reserve with a pectoral injury. Dekoda Watson, the starter at Otto last week, was deactivated Sunday with a hamstring injury. George signed with the Jaguars from the New York Jets’ practice squad September 23. The Jaguars announced seven inactives 90 minutes before kickoff, with wide receiver Mike Brown deactivated along with Watson, running back Storm Johnson, guard Tyler Shatley, defensive end Andre Branch, cornerback Will Blackmon and offensive tackle Sam Young. Arkansas Bengal
Bengals pregame notes, inactives Paul Dehner Jr., Cincinnati 11:53 a.m. EST November 2, 2014 (Photo: Jeff Swinger, The Cincinnati Enquirer) No major surprises from Paul Brown Stadium, which is good news for the Bengals and A.J. Green. As Marvin Lewis said would happen on Friday, Green was active for the first time since re-aggravating his toe injury following the loss at New England. He's missed more than month. Also as expected, running back Giovani Bernard was inactive with clavicle and hip injuries. Of the small surprises were the Bengals opting to make receiver Dane Sanzenbacher a healthy scratch. The backup slot receiver has struggled to make an impact this season catching seven passes for 81 yards. In the last two games he doesn't have any catches and only targeted twice. The emergence of new receiver Greg Little and progression of seventh-round pick James Wright made Sanzenbacher an afterthought. Sunday will mark the return of Brandon Thompson (knee). The run-stopping defensive tackle last played in the second week of the season against Atlanta. He will fall into a rotation with Geno Atkins, Domata Peko and Devon Still. The final slight surprise came as linebacker Nico Johnson, snatched off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad on Oct. 15, hopped over Marquis Flowers and Jayson DiManche to earn the start alongside Vinny Rey and Emmanuel Lamur. Here are the full list of Bengals inactives: WR Dane Sanzenbacher (coach's decision) CB Darqueze Dennard (hamstring) RB Giovani Bernard (clavicle/hip) LB Vontaze Burfict (knee) LB Rey Maualuga (hamstring) G Kevin Zeitler (calf) DL Will Clarke (coach's decision) Here are the inactives for the Jaguars, which includes starting linebacker Dekoda Watson: WR Mike Brown CB Will Blackmon RB Storm Johnson LB DeKoda Watson G Tyler Shatley OT Sam Young DE Andre Branch The temperatures are ideal for football. Despite chilly temps in the 40s, little wind is expected beneath clear skies at Paul Brown Stadium. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/blogs/2014/11/02/bengals-pregame-notes-inactive/18372105/
