Rick
There are quite a few QBs laying big eggs this year in the NFL. If we could trade our QB for their QB, which QB would fit in with our current offense?
Newprodigy101
I wouldn't trade Dalton for any of the ones that might be on the trading block. In fact it isn't even close. If Cutler was younger maybe, but even then it would be a tough call.

BengalsOwn
Most QB's in the league can handle throwing the ball 8 yards to AJ Green.
Bgal
I can't think of a single QB who would be on the trade block who'd be an improvement. I don't want Cutler, Kaep, or RG3.
-GoBengals-
Most QB's in the league can handle throwing the ball 8 yards to AJ Green. ha.... if that... there is a guy on the roster who i'd like to see play, however...
MichaelWeston
I like the idea of holding on to Dalton and getting a guy that I could feasibly see taking over for an extended period of time. The order for me would be Glennon-McCoy-Mallett-Locker-Cousins-Yates. If you made me get rid of Dalton for one of them I would probably take a risk on Glennon who I think will be great but that's it. Interesting thought experiment. Available Players Free Agent: Colt McCoy-Redskins Ryan Mallett-Texans Jake Locker-Titans TJ Yates-Falcons Austin Davis-Rams® Brian Hoyer-Browns Mark Sanchez-Eagles Blaine Gabbert-49ers Christian Ponder-Vikes Jimmy Clausen-Bears Trades: Mike Glennon-Bucs Robert Griffin-Redskins Kirk Cousins-Redskins EJ Manuel-Bills Geno Smith-Jets

Arkansas Bengal
ha.... if that... there is a guy on the roster who i'd like to see play, however... Bgal
Mike Glennon can't even start for the team he's on. All those QBs are terrible. Dalton is a starting QB in this league, perhaps low end but still starter quality. All those dude are struggling to hold on to clip boards. I'd like to see get AJ get a fair shot in camp for the starter role, but highly doubt he will.
Big Alice
Yea. I'd like to see get AJ get a fair shot in camp for the starter role, but highly doubt he will. A.J. McCarron will be lucky to get a "fair shot" to be the backup. The chances of him getting enough reps to challenge Dalton is laughable - somewhere between "hell no" and "zero". You forgot Drew Stanton, Kyle Orton and Shaun Hill.. And I am sure there are plenty of other backups that would work too... Hell.. Maybe Brady Quinn could come out of retirement... I would love it if AJ made it as the starter but there is 0 evidence of this.

Orton isn't a free agent although he is having a much better year than Dalton. Shaun Hill is 34. Brady Quinn is currently working for Fox Sports.
