JC
I had a feeling this was the case. The offense is going to need to expand to some 7 steppers if they want defenses to back off the LOS a little bit.
alleycat
Been saying this for years. It's slightly chicken and egg, but our pre-snap-read-and-then-get-the-ball-out-fast-as-hell approach has masked our O-Line issues. It's also why teams have started to look like they are inside our heads and know our plays. The give us a pre-snap look that they want, and then know where to shift to at the snap to once they've laid the trap. When was the last time we saw our QB have ALL DAY back in the pocket? We don't run a progression passing game, but that's what you need if you do: all day. And there's a reason it seems like all of the "great" QBs often have all day to throw - and they do very well when they have that kind of time and can progress to the open receiver: their teams invest more in O-Lines (read: not just tackles), and those players are better coached.
