Moving to Florida!

Recommended Posts

I just accepted a job down at the MIA airport...I'll be living with family until I find something myself and get settled there...Going to be on my way there tonight actually..I know some people from this board live in Florida...What area? I'll be living just north of Miami in the Ft.Lauderdale area for the start..I'm pretty pumped about everything and I hope it works out..

What are some cool spots to watch the games down there? Any decent sports bars or anything that people know of?

l'll definitely miss Cincy and Ohio of course..Been here for most of my life but it was time for a change..

From September of 2014 it was published that a place called Duffys in Ft Lauderdale was a Bengals bar. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2014/09/10/the-best-places-to-watch-each-pro-football-team-in-miami/

Eventually someone here will chime in. Have you looked at the member map ? It may help.

good luck... there is a skyline chili in ft lauderdale... so at least youll have that...

There are actually 2 in the area. I've been to both.

Winter down there is absolutely beautiful.

Southern Florida is mostly transplants, most from the northeast so people can be a little more rude than what you might be used to in Cincinnati or a smaller town. Also, they have "snowbirds" which are temporary transplants that live there basically Thanksgiving to Easter and everything is crowded at that time of year.

If you find yourself near a PA Barbecue Grill, go there. That was our favorite restaurant in the area.
