|Elflocko|
Wait. Mike Brown voted for the move? I'm stunned. I figured him, Rooney, and the dude that owns Jacksonville would've voted against. That said, I'm surprised it happened to be honest. Just remember, we're barely 10 years removed from the NFL not allowing Las Vegas to air an ad (that made no mention of gambling, mind you) during the Super Bowl, to being granted a franchise. The only thing the NFL loves more than money is hypocrisy...

Le Tigre
The location of their new Pleasure Palace is still up in the air. Supposedly, it will be on a 65-acre parcel at the near the bottom end of the Strip and adjacent to the airport. Funding is also a miss-mash of contradictions: the state/LasVegas/Clark County are all promising to pony up half of the $1.5 Billion, through "hotel taxes" (think of that puny 1/2 cent sales tax in Hamilton County everyone still cries about to this day, and then place about 20-fold on top of it) on "visitors" and not the general population. Yeah, sure. The rest of it is supposed to come from a conglomerate of these very same hotel/casino magnates--one of who has already withdrawn. I can see a long path of litigation on funding alone, putting aside actually finding ground and building the place. Still looks to be a long ways to go before the Las Vegas Raiders actually come into existence.
