Odell Thurman Suspension Extended 1 more year

Recommended Posts
Even before the Bengals held their first team meeting of the season, the NFL stunned them with Thursday's decision to lengthen Odell Thurman's suspension for another year, according to a Bengals press release. He may reapply for reinstatement after the 2007 season.

Thurman had been expecting to be reinstated in time for the start of training camp, which opens Thursday with the Bengals reporting in preparation for Friday's first practice. For the past month, Safarrah Lawson, one of Thurman's representatives, has been saying that Thurman met all the requirements of the league's substance abuse policy.
Complete and utter bullshit, he complied with everything he was asked to. Ill be sending the NFL a letter. I hope the players union gets involved, Pacman was going to get a year off and let back in after, henry only got 8 games...both did more than Odell did.
Wow. I don`t understand how they can suspend him another year.

Wouldn`t you have to be in violation in order for that to happen ?

I`m in total shock . . .
I think it says for a player who is suspended for a full year that it is the discretion of the commisioner as to when he is allowed back, doesnt matter if he's eligible or not.....

This is fucking bullshit!

Fuck Goodell and fuck the NFL.

I am officially boycottign thier product.. No tickets, no merchandise for me until Goodell steps down or proves he isn't the total prick he seems to be.

I will still support the Bengals, but unless tickets fall in my lap, it's TV only for me.

It's become apparant the NFL has decided to make the Bengals thier whipping boys. Bengals players have done the least and gotten hit with the most out of all the high profile cases in the NFL.

I just don't get it. He has done everything he was supposed to do. He has been tested regularly with none back positive that we know of. By all accounts he has cleaned up his life. Goodell is basically telling him that all of his work has been for nothing. Way to make a man dwell on his past mistakes Goodell.

I hope Odell goes back into remission and kills Goodell in a drunken stupor. Oh what sweet irony that would be.
