Interesting that the CBS-1 crew (Jim Nantz & Phil Simms) is not scheduled for a game this week. I can't fathom that they're doing the Thanksgiving game (Oakland at Dallas) *and* doing a game the following Sunday (CBS Doubleheader weekend) - so this is probably just an off week for them.

D'oh - Thanksgiving is BEFORE this Sunday's games - no doubt Nantz/Simms are going to be in Dallas and THEN taking Sunday off. ;)

PS - Here's a new front page that shows all three broadcast maps together (albeit smallishly):

Why do they assume that the whole country wants to watch Favre every week?

And that, my friend, is why the 200 bucks for sunday ticket on Direct TV is such a minor expense!!! Even though i'm in the Bengals home market, I can watch whatever else I want and not be stuck with the crap the networks want to feed me.

Are you in the Bengals market area? If so, when there is a blackout of the Bengals game, can you watch it on your Sunday ticket on Direct TV?

Not if you are in the local market. Bengals games are blacked out on Sunday ticket whether it is sold out or not. You have to watch the local broadcast in your teams market.

nope

I had Sunday Ticket from the first year offered. Living in MD I the 90's, not only was Cincy never the "local" game, but their games were never important enough to garner attention. If I didn't have the Ticket, I'd never see the Stripes.

In the Indy market now, I get significantly more Bengals from the local channel, esp with the Colts so infrequently playing on Sunday afternoons. So many Cincy games would be "on" anyway. I could no longer justify the expense, particularly the extra $100 DirecTV wanted to NOT block the HD broadcasts. That's right, even tho I pay a premium for HD programming, I have to pay ANOTHER premium to get NFL games in that format.

I dumped Sunday Ticket this year. I'm planning to dump DirecTV soon, too.

You can't on the full screen, but it does play on the 8 game screen. Since I have a Projector, I can open up to 145" diagonally, and that makes it about a 24" view. Not the normal, but it works!

Out here in CA, I just go to a sports bar that has it. Since it's usually 9:30 AM, I order a breakfast and a soda with refills. It's about 10 dollars for the check, unless I stay and have another meal and a beer after the game. Add in a extra big tip for floor space taken up and its not too bad. There's a group of Browns fans and a group of Fantasy groupies who cheer everything so its a reasonable atmosphere for a Cincy fan.

I lived in Sacramento years ago. I miss waking up on Saturday and Sunday mornings and the football games are already coming on. And frequenting this mexican place to watch MNF during Happy Hour. They put out a real nice complimentary nacho bar spread.

Pleasantly surprised to get the Bengals game here in Titans country, especially given that a big AFC South game between Indy and Houston was going on at the same time. The Louisville market had Indy-Houston, so if not for the local station I'd have missed this one.
