It wasn't in the preseason that Schrager was heaping praise on Taylor-Britt for his potential, it was in early November (obviously when CTB was still healthy) for his actual play after a big chunk of the reg season was over. The date of this tweet is Nov 5th:

Great Points on the CBs..

I'd guess the plan is for Dax to succeed Hilton. He played in the slot a lot in college. But the idea that CTB is a top corner is silly. Peter Schrager predicted a breakout for him before last season so perhaps people are anchoring on that. The PFF rankings of our CBs for last year were Hilton at 18, CTB at 62, and Turner at 109. Chido was 72. That's a very poor group of outside corners.

Could see a CB at 18 if Arnold or Mitchell is available... but guess it depends on who else is there at DT (Murphy) and T. But Michell especially looks like the real deal. And then there's the Dax Hill piece... if they go CB, that gives an indication of where they see Dax playing... is he a S who just got overwhelmed at times last year? Or if they don't go CB, do they see Dax there - either as the nickel starter in waiting - maybe his best spot - or maybe as an outside corner. And if so, do they see DJ Turner as a starter, or is CB2 up for grabs?

A healthy Taylor-Britt is a CB1 in my book. He finished his rookie season strong and began last season very strong. I thought CTB and Hendrickson were the team's top defensive players for a large part of the season. Too many others had down years. CTB has to stay healthy though.
