They naturally played more NFC opponents, and teams from the NFC North most of all, so the library of logos is weighted by size in favor of the teams they played more frequently.

I managed to download all of that artwork (the logos, not the videos), and with the site now gone, it's a shame not to share that past artwork. I had begun uploading all of the work to a prior thread, but that was years ago and the thread has long since been archived and stuffed into a memory hole. So I'm going to repost them... ALL OF THEM... to this thread. I'll do it alphabetically by team, so if you find yourself needing to mock an opponent you'll know where to go.

I'll also include mock logos from an online thread (I forget where it was from) that speculated what all 32 NFL teams' logos would be if they were from the UK. Perhaps it was due to the ongoing London games? Dunno. But I have them all and I'll just lump them in with the PackerPalace logos.

So without further ado.... here we go!

Ah! The Baltimore Browns (later renamed "Ravens") would begin play in 1996 at Memorial Stadium until a new football-only stadium would be completed adjacent to Camden Yards.

After threatening litigation, the city of Cleveland would later be given an expansion franchise in 1999. That new team, ironically enough, would be headed-up by Al Lerner, the same man who engineered the Browns' departure to Maryland and upon whose private jet the final contracts with the Maryland Stadium Authority would be signed while sitting on the tarmac at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Without Lerner spearheading the effort, the Browns would never have been able to move to Maryland.

Paradoxically, Browns fans immortalized Lerner - who has since passed away - by wearing jerseys that bear his "A.L." initials on the sleeve. The patch was removed following the 2012 season by new owner Jimmy Haslam, the 4th owners since the franchise's founding in 1999.

Andy Dalton - Chasing 40K

Andy Dalton may be named the starter for the Panthers against the Bills next week, as Bryce Young suffered an ankle injury that forced him out of their game this week and is awating an MRI to see if any serious ligament damage occurred.

Andy closed-out the game last week, with two prior appearances during garbage time. He has gone 2-1 with a pedestrian 9-13-118 1/0 stat line, all of those numbers in a relief role. Thru Sunday's game Dalton now uas 39,618 career passing yards, needing only 382 to become the 26th player in NFL history to reach 40,000. Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks testified that a team executive gave him a burner phone to communicate with former general manager Steve Keim under orders from Keim and team owner Michael Bidwill during Keim's suspension, according to a deposition transcript obtained by ESPN.

Bidwill and other team executives communicated with Keim throughout his suspension for drunk driving, including while the Cardinals negotiated a three-year, $39 million contract extension with running back David Johnson, Wilks said. The NFL said at the time it would not impose additional punishment against Keim after the team suspended him.

"It was a directive from Keim as well as Bidwill," Wilks said in the deposition. "They both knew."

Wilks, now the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, testified in California on Friday via videoconference as part of the ongoing arbitration complaint filed by former Cardinals vice president of personnel Terry McDonough against Bidwill and the team. McDonough's complaint alleges gross misconduct by Bidwill, including discriminatory and racist treatment of employees in addition to the use of burner phones.

Bidwill and the Cardinals have previously denied the allegations, calling them "outlandish."

In response to questions posed by McDonough's attorney, Wilks provided new details about the use of burner phones, alleged incidents he witnessed between McDonough and Bidwill, and his overall coaching experience.

Cardinals attorneys later complained to NFL-appointed arbitrator Jeffrey Mishkin that Wilks' attorney did not allow cross-examination during the deposition, according to correspondence obtained by ESPN.

"As much as we would like to share the truth of what transpired, the confidentiality order in place prohibits us from doing so," the Cardinals told ESPN in a statement. Because Wilks has not yet been cross-examined by Cardinals attorneys, the deposition has not been admitted into the record, according to identical statements from both a team spokesperson and McDonough's attorney. Wilks' attorney and an NFL spokesperson declined comment.

According to the correspondence reviewed by ESPN, Cardinals attorneys previously asked Mishkin to destroy the videotape and transcript of Wilks' testimony.

Mishkin ruled Monday to keep the material, according to two sources with knowledge of the arbitration proceedings.

Wilks, who coached the team for less than 12 months during a 3-13 season, testified that league officials came to Arizona after Keim was arrested for extreme DUI on July 4, 2018, in Chandler.

The NFL announced it would not impose additional punishment against Keim after the team said July 17 it was suspending Keim for five weeks and fining him $200,000, and promised that the general manager would be barred from team facilities and prohibited from having contact with the team.

Wilks testified that Bidwill initially ordered Wilks and others to have "no communication" with Keim following his guilty plea and suspension.

But Wilks said former Cardinals vice president of football administration Mike Disner gave him a burner phone sometime between July 18 and July 20. Wilks said Disner told him that the two of them, along with Keim, McDonough and Matt Caracciolo, the team's vice president of football operations and facilities, received burner phones. He said Disner showed him how his phone had been preloaded with "everybody's initials" and phone numbers. Bidwill himself used a burner phone to communicate with Keim, who had multiple burner phones, according to Wilks.

"With me being a first-year head coach, I felt uncomfortable from the beginning that I worked this hard to get to this plateau and this opportunity, and then I was presented with this situation with being unethical," Wilks testified.

Keim and Wilks had one text exchange, when Keim asked how things were going at practice, according to Wilks' testimony. "That was the only time I reached out to Mr. Keim," Wilks said.

But Wilks testified that Keim and Disner communicated during Keim's suspension to solidify a new deal with Johnson. The Cardinals announced Johnson's contract on Sept. 8, 2018, less than three weeks after Keim returned from his suspension.

Keim left the Cardinals in December 2022 for health-related reasons. Disner left the Cardinals in January 2019 and is currently the chief operating officer of the Detroit Lions. A Lions spokesperson did not respond to ESPN's request for comment.

Wilks said he was uncomfortable with the burner phones, but as a first-year Black coach, he did not feel comfortable going to Bidwill with his concerns and instead asked McDonough to intervene on his behalf.

Wilks testified that he called McDonough into his office on July 23, 2018, six days after Keim's suspension, to discuss his discomfort with the phones.

Wilks said he witnessed a "heated conversation" between Bidwill and McDonough later that same day. "I don't know exactly what was said," Wilks said. "I was walking off the practice field, might have been 15, 20 yards away. And I just heard Michael [Bidwill] berating [McDonough], so I stopped and looked." He said McDonough did not yell at Bidwill. Bidwill, however, "was definitely irate."

McDonough later told Wilks that the argument on the field had been about Wilks' and McDonough's concerns about the phones, according to Wilks' testimony.

Before Keim's suspension, Wilks said he felt like he had a good relationship with Bidwill, but Bidwill's "demeanor towards me changed" after the McDonough incident on the field. The owner became "less communicative, very nonchalant," according to Wilks.

In an April 2023 news release following McDonough's arbitration complaint, the Cardinals stated that "Mr. Bidwill took swift action" when he learned of the burner phones and "directed the phones be retrieved and communications stopped."

But Wilks said in his deposition that, "No one retrieved the burner phones until Keim came back [from his suspension], so it wasn't swift." Wilks said Disner collected Wilks' burner phone after Keim "was back in the building."

Wilks also testified that he never witnessed McDonough being "combative towards colleagues in leadership," being willfully insubordinate, or having "friction with his colleagues," all claims previously made by the Cardinals following McDonough's complaint.

"I felt it was totally false from my experience and relationship being around Terry," he said.

Asked if he felt that Bidwill "bullied, belittled, and criticized" McDonough in a personnel meeting following the on-field incident, as alleged in the arbitration complaint, Wilks replied, "Yes."

Wilks said Bidwill had also berated him multiple times, including a postgame incident that occurred in front of Wilks' 9-year-old son. He was driving home with his son after a game and called Bidwill, he said. "As soon as he picked up, it was just cuss words and how embarrassed he was about the game and can't really, you know, bring friends or take anybody in the box," Wilks said, adding that his son later asked him, "Daddy, why is that guy talking to you like that?"

McDonough has accused Bidwill of chastising him after he introduced three Black players to the owner during a tryout, telling McDonough, "Don't ever do that again." Wilks said he witnessed the interaction and heard Bidwill telling McDonough, "Don't ever do that again," but added, "I didn't know exactly what it was pertaining to."

Wilks also said a scout who is Black told him that he had been berated by Bidwill for parking in the owner's spot, an allegation McDonough previously made in his arbitration complaint.

Bidwill sits on the NFL's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Social Justice Working Group. Wilks is a co-plaintiff in former Dolphins coach Brian Flores's lawsuit against the league and several other teams, including the Cardinals, on allegations of racial discrimination in hiring. Plaintiffs attorneys in that case have called Wilks a "bridge coach" who was "not given any meaningful chance to succeed" in Arizona.

McDonough is a son of Boston Globe reporter Will McDonough and brother of ESPN broadcaster Sean McDonough.

Not sure I'll watch or not. On the one hand, it may be amusing. On the other, do we need to glorify losers like Johnny Douchbag? He failed in life and failed in the NFL.

Hopefully they show the Bengals beating the shit out of him. that would be a plus

And I have no doubt his "suicide" attempt is a total lie.

This is a gentle reminder that the Annual General Meeting of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club Inc. (the "Club") will be held at the Harvard Broadcasting’s Studio 620 Lounge, Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan, at 7:00 p.m., June 21, 2023.

We wanted to also advise you of some road construction taking place around the Stadium – specifically on Lewvan Drive. Unfortunately, this area is reduced to a single lane due to ongoing road work, which will likely result in congestion. Additionally, the Farm Show PBR is taking place at the same time, which means there may be increased traffic around REAL District.

With that in mind, we suggest you take a little extra time to get to the Stadium. For those who cannot make it to the Annual General Meeting, we will be live-streaming the meeting on YouTube. Please click the link below for live coverage:

The lawsuit alleges that Araiza, then an All-American at San Diego State, had sex with the minor outside his off-campus house while she was intoxicated at a party in October, then brought her inside to a room where she was repeatedly raped by multiple men.

So Driskel is on the Texans roster and actually getting some PT there at the end of the season. I've watched the condensed versions of these games.

First off the ugly. They seem to mostly just put him in there on 3rd and short or 4th and 2 or less to run a QB draw. Boy he just gets stuffed every time lol Like why did they keep doing that? lol

On positive note. The Texans will sometimes have 2 qbs on the field and that is when it gets really interesting. They'll have Driskel lined up behind the line in the slot so the defender has to defend against the reception/run and possible pass. They also throw Driskel in the backfield in a split formation which also really seems to rattle the defense a bit.

He does alright the couple of times he was thrown a screen pass. Got up the field pretty good. When he gets the ball out on the screen the D is just confused af. Pretty neat. Glad dude is still hanging in there.

The NFL is trying something different with the Monday Night Football schedule this year.

On one Monday night during the 2022 season, the league will schedule one game on ESPN and one on ABC, according to Sports Business Journal.

The plan is for the two games to kick off about an hour apart, so they will be airing simultaneously for at least half of the game. That’s unusual; the NFL ordinarily doesn’t like to compete against itself in prime time.

But ESPN and ABC are both owned by Disney, and the network and the league have apparently decided it’s worth trying and seeing how fans like it. It is unknown when this Monday night doubleheader will take place, but it is expected to be within the first four weeks of the season.

The 2022 season is the final year of the current Monday Night Football contract. With the next contract, which begins in 2023, ABC will air three Monday Night Football games per year, and the rest will air exclusively on ESPN.

VILLA HILLS, Ky. (WXIX) - Former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga was arrested Wednesday for driving while intoxicated and other charges, according to the police report.

Maualuga, a 2009 second round pick of the Bengals, drove through multiple yards and ran over mailboxes in the 1000 block of Riverview Farms Place around 9 p.m. before hitting a parked car.

The ex-Bengal hit the parked car so hard that part of his Mercedes went underneath of it and wedged it between a tree, police said.

When the officer arrived, the report said he saw Maualuga walking around the driveway.

Maualuga “was telling people he was sorry, mentioned he had screwed up, and that he was he’s already had multiple DUIs and this one would potentially put him in jail for a long time,” the report reads.

Maualuga told the officer he only had a few drinks but refused to take a breath alcohol test.

According to the report, Maualuga’s friend told police he must have taken the Mercedes because it did not have an ignition interlock device.

An ignition interlock device is a breath-test device connected to a vehicle’s ignition. The car won’t start unless the driver blows into the device and has a BAC below a pre-set limit, according to the CDC.

He was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and criminal mischief, according to the report.

Wednesday is Maualuga’s latest run-in with Kentucky police.

May explain why he sucks completely in the playoffs. What a bum.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was noncommittal on whether he would get vaccinated after being infected with COVID-19 twice in the past eight months, saying it was a "personal decision."

"I just got off the COVID list," Jackson said after Monday's practice when asked if he would get the vaccine. "I got to talk to my team about this and see how they feel about it. Keep learning as much as I can about it. We'll go from there."

Does that mean he's thinking about getting vaccinated?

"We'll see," Jackson said. "Talking to the doctors. We'll see."

During Jackson's nine-minute media session, the former NFL MVP remained loose, animated and playful while being asked nine COVID-related questions, including three on whether he planned to get vaccinated.

Jackson returned to training camp Saturday after missing 10 days, the NFL-mandated quarantine for unvaccinated players who test positive. Last November, Jackson tested positive for COVID-19 and missed one game. On Monday, he acknowledged he dealt with the same symptoms from the coronavirus this time and slept a lot because of fatigue.

Jackson said last December that he "wouldn't wish [COVID] on anybody" and reiterated that Monday. But he still wouldn't budge on whether he would get the vaccine, even when pressed that it puts the Ravens at a competitive disadvantage.

"I feel it's a personal decision," Jackson said. "I'm just going to keep my feelings to my family and myself. I'm focused on getting better right now. I can't dwell on that right now ... how everybody else feels. Just trying to get back to the right routine."

While London has stood as the consistent international outpost for the NFL across the Atlantic dating to 2007, the league is looking to stretch the game into Europe's mainland in the near future. Earlier this offseason, the NFL was reportedly gauging interest from a number of potential host cities in Germany and several have come back quite interested.

According to Sky Sports, seven German cities have expressed interest in becoming a partner with the league. The NFL is also working with London-based The Sports Consultancy and is aiming to play host to games in Germany beginning in 2022 and running through the 2025 season. Sky Sports adds that the NFL is expected to receive robust proposals at the start of September, which will allow the league time to review and identify a preferred partner by early 2022.

The seven German cities were not revealed by The Sports Consultancy, but Munich's Department for Education and Sport did confirm to Sky Sports that it's in "initial talks" with the NFL about playing host to a game. Munich is home to Allianz Arena, which is the second-largest stadium in Germany with a capacity of 75,000.

"We are currently waiting for more information from the NFL regarding the requirements to be met for implementation in Munich," spokesperson Thomas Gross told Sky Sports. "A final application can generally only be made after approval by the city council. As soon as the LHM has the outstanding information, it will be examined and submitted to the city council for decision."

One city that is not in the running to play host at the moment is the country's capital city of Berlin. The city's Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport noted that they're unable to form a pitch due to a sports promotion law. That said, as spokesperson did say note that "Berlin is always interested in hosting high-profile sporting events." Meanwhile, Hamburg is another potential host city for the NFL, but there is some concern that the turnaround time to deliver a pitch is too short.

Germany played host to five NFL preseason games from 1990 to 1994 and had five teams as a member of NFL Europe before the league disbanded in 2007, so there is plenty of history to point to why the league has chosen this country as its next European frontier.

A San Diego County judge sentenced former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow II to 14 years in prison Wednesday for multiple rapes and sexual offenses committed against five women in Southern California. The sentence was the maximum allowed under a plea arrangement Winslow agreed to in February. Winslow was convicted of forcible rape, rape of an unconscious person, assault with intent to commit rape, indecent exposure and lewd conduct in public.

Had he been convicted of the 12 charges including seven felonies that he originally faced without a plea deal, Winslow could have faced life in prison.

Judge Blaine Bowman called Winslow "a sexual predator” and described his crimes as "brazen" when handing down the sentence. “The vulnerability of the victims was no accident,” Bowman said, per the Associated Press. “It was the type of victim that you sought out yourself because you felt that perhaps they wouldn’t report the crime or wouldn’t be deemed credible by the jurors.”

Winslow convicted of rape in 2019

In June of 2019, a San Diego County jury found Winslow guilty of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman and indecent exposure involving a woman who was gardening in her front yard. Jurors agreed that he was guilty of rape, indecent exposure and lewd conduct, but remained deadlocked on six other felonies, prompting a retrial on those charges. Among the charges jurors couldn't agree on were the alleged 2018 rape of a 54-year-old hitchhiker and the 2003 rape of an unconscious 17-year-old high school girl at a party.

			Multiple plea deals for Winslow

Rather than face trial again, Winslow agreed to a last-minute plea deal in 2019 that took place after jurors had been seated for the retrial. Winslow pleaded guilty then to raping the 17-year-old and to sexual battery of the hitchhiker. He faced 12 to 18 years in prison per the terms of that deal. He pleaded then with Bowman to hand down the minimum sentence.

“I pray to God that you give me 12, and I can go home to my soldja family as soon as possible,” Winslow said when entering his 2019 guilty plea.

Winslow was slated to be sentenced in 2020, but the hearing was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before Wednesday's hearing, Winslow agreed in February to yet another plea deal, reducing his maximum sentence to 14 years. Per that deal, Winslow was allowed to change his plea of sexual battery of the hitchhiker to a lesser charge of assault with intent to commit rape.

			'I don't ever feel safe'

The homeless woman Winslow raped was one of four women to provide statements at Wednesday's sentencing hearing. She described the long-term impact Winslow's rape has had on her life. “It’s affecting my life every day and every night,” she said, per the Associated Press. “I don’t ever feel safe inside or outside. You brought so much damage to my life.”

Winslow's fall from Pro Bowl tight end

Winslow played nine season in the NFL with the current Cleveland Browns, before bouncing around the league with short stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and New York Jets. The son of Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow, who played for the original Browns in Cleveland and Baltimore (while managing to not be convicted of raping anyone), the lesser Winslow was selected by the current Browns as a first-round draft pick out of Miami... oops... "Duh Yoo" in 2004. It is unclear how many women he raped in college.

It might not be much longer before Marvin Lewis is back coaching in the NFL.

Lewis has worked at Arizona State under Herm Edwards since being let go as Bengalshead coach in 2018. Lewis worked as a special advisor under Edwards in 2019 before taking on more responsibility as co-defensive coordinator this season. His tenure in that role could be short-lived, though, as Lewis could be destined for a return to the professional ranks as soon as this offseason, according to NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah. That rumor prompted ex-Jet and ESPN analyst Damien Woody to tweet, “I would rather the Jets go the Marvin Lewis route than hot shot coordinator route.”

While Lewis does deserve a second chance, it shouldn’t come with Gang Green.

Adam Gase’s days as Jets head coach are undoubtedly numbered. Before long, Joe Douglas will likely be scouring the market for his replacement. There are numerous intriguing candidates to succeed Gase as New York’s head coach and while Lewis is not a bad one by any stretch, he doesn’t make much sense considering the current situation New York finds itself in.

Jets fans would probably take seven trips to the postseason in 16 years with the way things have gone lately, but Douglas is shooting higher than simply participating in the playoffs. He wants to win big. Hiring a head coach with an 0-7 career playoff record is not exactly the best way to accomplish that.

There is no denying that Lewis is a bright football mind. He revived an essentially dormant Bengals franchise and is well respected in NFL circles for what he has achieved throughout his career. Lewis also crossed paths with Douglas when he was the Ravens’ defensive coordinator in the early 2000s and Douglas was working as a scout for Baltimore, so he has familiarity working in his favor when it comes to the Jets’ impending vacancy.

That shouldn’t be enough to land him in the Big Apple, though. The Jets need a fresh face leading them into the future, not one who is synonymous with playoff loss after playoff loss. The fact that Lewis has a defensive background also doesn’t help him, but more importantly, now is the time for New York to be bold and take a chance on a promising, young coach with the potential to take the organization to new heights.

Lewis deserves a second chance in the NFL. He just does not fall quite in line with what the Jets need out of their next head coach.

That game tonight vs Washington was as blatant a tank job as you'll see. They (the Eagles) were jumping offside, missing fumbles etc, etc but the biggest issue is at QB. They started Jalen hurts who has his rough edges but then Peterson puts in their version of Ryan Finley minus the mobility, in Nate Sudfeld...while Carson Wentz stands on the sidelines apparently inactive for the game. Either choice would have been far superior to Sudfeld. He ended up throwing 12 passes for about 30 yards and he lost a fumble. NFL should insist on better. If the Eagles were playing a team out of it like our Bengals tonight, I'd have no problem with it but as it is, the game was on national tv with a division title on the line. I think we'll hear lots on this game from the talk shows this week.
