Hatred is far too weak of a word for the searing burning abhorrence I have for the entire Stealers team, organization, the city of Shittsburgh and their entire fan base.

Make no mistake, In an ideal  universe --> I wish the city of Pittsburgh would be burnt to the ground, every building destroyed, every home demolished, every plant and flower torn from the ground, and salt poured on the ground so nothing will ever grow in that spot again. I would want every Stealer fan burnt alive and then their bones placed in a grinder and fed to hungry hogs, and then I'd want those hogs blown up with a cruise missile so that even the DNA of the former fans bodies isn’t retrievable from the hog shit. Then I would want every shirt, jersey, etc with the Stealers logo on it collected up and incinerated with the future punishment for possession of any Stealer merchandise being automatic torture and death—where anyone found with it is slid on a large razor blade into a pool of alcohol and then their corpse is placed in a barrel of battery acid and shot into space so that even their molecules aren’t on the planet any more.

As for Rapistberger, I would want him kept alive … because after every other Stealer fan on this planet is killed, he should be covered in sugar and his entire body fed to millions of large fire ants until its stripped to the bone. Meanwhile, the entire time he’s being devoured there should be a TV in front of him and his eyes melted open so he has to watch Ickey Woods doing the Ickey Shuffle on a continuous loop until he takes his last breath. If the Stealer plane crashed tomorrow and they all died the only sad thing about it will be it didn’t crash sooner and that all of them wasted so much oxygen living another day.

NFL conditionally reinstates Josh Gordon; can return to practice Nov. 20

Josh Gordon has again been conditionally reinstated by the NFL, nearly three years after he last played a game.

The 26-year-old has been suspended for drug use, and met with commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday.

In a letter announcing the decision, Goodell said, “As emphasized at today’s meeting, everyone – including Josh’s teammates and coaches, the Browns’ ownership and organization, the Program professionals and all of us at the league office – want him to have every opportunity to resume his career and to be successful in the NFL.

“Whether that happens, however, at the end of the day will depend on Josh. His commitment to sobriety and to reaching his goals in football and beyond will determine his success. It is ultimately up to Josh.”

Gordon can immediately begin attending team meetings, do conditioning work and individual workouts and will be on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, meaning he won’t yet count against the 53-man roster. He can begin practicing on Nov. 20, and if all goes well, the Browns could elevate Gordon to the active roster on Nov. 27.

But there is still the small matter of whether Gordon will remain with the Browns.

Cleveland released a statement, attributed to vice president of football operations Sashi Brown, acknowledging that the organization had been informed of Gordon’s reinstatement.

“The personal well-being of all our players is of the utmost importance to us,” it read. “We respect and commend Josh for taking the steps necessary to have the opportunity to return to the league. Josh will be in our building in the coming days and we look forward to having him back and sitting with him to discuss his future on our team.”

The Browns, who currently have the 31st-ranked scoring offense in the league, could certainly use Gordon, assuming he can get close to the 117.6 yards per game and nine touchdowns he gave the team in 2013. However, the current regime hasn’t worked with him, and may not want to move forward with him.

But, as Cleveland should know now, the trade deadline was Tuesday at 4 p.m. It’s unclear – though unlikely – the league would make a special case for the Browns to trade Gordon at this point.

The rare supplemental draft pick, Gordon entered the league in 2012 and quickly made an impression with the Browns. But almost as quickly, he ran into trouble and was suspended.

He played in 30 games in 2012-13, and totaling 137 receptions for 2,451 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods in ’13. But he had to sit out two games that season after testing positive for codeine, then a 2014 DUI meant a 10-game suspension.

He hasn’t played in a game since Dec. 21, 2014.

In a short, powerful documentary on Uninterrupted last month, Gordon admitted to extensive drug use, beyond marijuana many assumed he was using.

“I’ve used alcohol on many, many occasions, Xanax on many occasions, cocaine several occasions, marijuana most of my life, codeine, cough syrup, methazine is very prevalent where I’m from,” Gordon said. “It’s what I grew up using.

“I’ve been enabled most of my life, honestly. I mean, I’ve been enabled by coaches, teachers, professors; everybody pretty much gave me a second chance because of my ability.”

Gordon alleged that while he was at Baylor, after he was arrested for marijuana possession, one of the Bears’ coaches told him he would be drug tested by the NCAA compliance officers, and the coach gave him “bottles of detox” and showed him how to drink them.

“That was my first experience with getting over on the system and that authority not really being taken seriously, because it was kind of being guided by somebody that’s employed by the same university,” Gordon said.

He also called Goodell, whom he’s had regular contact with during his exile, a mentor, and talked about not just wanting to save his career, but also his life.

I’m picking on Big Ben here because he’s a looming monstrosity of a quarterback and my college roommates conditioned me to laugh at him every time he ran. Stupid fat bastard. I don’t know much about football, but I don’t need to in order to recognize that a lot of these dudes are getting away with far too much. Ben has been facing some serious sexual assault allegations since 2009. What happened as a result? A six-game suspension that was later reduced to four. Shit, when I was a kid my parents wouldn’t let me play soccer for a whole season if I didn’t get good grades, never mind forcing myself on an unwilling girl. Screw it, GO Stealers! 

We see this all the time and we’re totally okay with it. Michael Vick trained innocent dogs to violently rip each other’s faces off, and we should’ve thought of an appropriate punishment like allowing Clay Matthews to eat him. Instead, Vick is back to sucking (a prerequisite for being a Jet), but at least he’s playing! Ray Rice will likely be back on the field even after falcon-punching a woman straight in the face. Luckily, the NFL was kind enough to give us condescending commercials with actors acting sad to make it all better. Rice, Vick, and Roethlisberger are still making millions after crimes that none of us could get away with, just because they can…run faster?

But surely the NFL will actually do something about the scandals we’re really pissed about, like Michael Sam being a queer and Tom Fucking Brady being unable to tell that the ball felt “a little weird.” Hells yeah, cuts and fines like the vengeance of God, baby! Can’t wait for next season!

With yet another loss on Sunday, the Cleveland Browns dropped to 0-13 on the season, keeping their commanding lead for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

But that’s not the only pick they could be making in the top 10 next April.

As part of their trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s draft, the Browns currently own an additional first-round pick. If the 2016 season ended today, that selection would be No. 10 overall thanks to the 5-8 Eagles.

If the Browns keep both of those picks, it will mark the fourth time in six years Cleveland will make multiple picks in the first round.

One would think that being loaded with so many premium picks over such a short period of time would lead to a quick rebuild. But of the eight first-round picks the Browns made between 2009 and 2014, cornerback Joe Haden is the only one still on the team.

Having two picks in the top 10 is a dream come true for most teams, but Cleveland fans will be skeptical at best until they see those resources lead to on-field returns.

But maybe not to worry…

Like it or not, the Bengals will always be linked to their underachieving reconstituted JV squad to the North, that pathetic excuse for a franchise in one of America’s most hollowed out industrial wastelands and festering cesspools of a city. Despite the fact that the storied franchise of the Bengals’ father Paul Brown now happily resides in Baltimore, this bad rash of humanity just couldn’t accept their defeat and instead now inflicts the NFL world with 10+ unwatchable games a year, where their mediocrity is only surpassed by the epic suckage on the field and the repulsive gelatinous neck rolls of their front row fans.

Having said all that, the decaying ‘Mistake on the Lake’ did debut some new uniforms today via Nike, which the Bengals will have to view twice a year, so we might as well assess the work outfits of the Factory of Sadness ...  

List of the Changes:

HELMET

- The shade of orange has been tweaked on the helmet.

- The face mask was changed from gray to brown.

- The brown and white portions of the center helmet stripe are now equally proportioned and have a textured pattern.

JERSEYS

- The word “Cleveland” is now largely displayed above the numbers on the chest.

- The numbers now have block-shadowed numerals and are made of a textured material.

- The number of sleeve stripes has been cut from 5 to 3.

- The word “Dawg Pound” is now stitched on the inside back collar of the jersey (not visible when worn).

PANTS

- The word “Browns” is now featured in large letters running down the leg of the pants.

- Two different sock colors, brown-topped and orange-topped.

• With brown, orange and white jerseys and pants, they now have 9 available uniform combinations. 18 combinations if you count the two colors of socks.

My thoughts

For the life of me I have never understood why a team called the Browns, doesn’t have a brown helmet. It would seem logical, but then again, their fans live in Cleveland (aka God’s blind spot) and so feats of judgment are not likely their strong suit. I think the team should have used a helmet logo as well, perhaps a dawg, for their famed “dawg pound”, or the dog-fighting rings that many of their hobo fans hold to earn money for crack cocaine and Colt 45s.

It also seems that the Browns orange uniforms in particular and helmet with the “big center stripe” now too closely resemble the Bengals. :1018:  I understand why they would want to resemble the only team in Ohio who regularly makes the playoffs, but I would hope that the NFL would have rules on mandatory differentiation.

I actually like the “Browns” on the pants and even the writing on the chest is stylistically fine, the only problem there is that it says “Cleveland”, which is about two steps below writing “Calcutta” over the numbers.

Overall, I consider these uniforms an improvement, but mainly because the former ones were so epically stale and awful. Plus I think Nike usually does a good job (as shown with Seattle’s unis, the only other Pro one’s they’ve designed), but to me the weak point is still the lack of a logo itself, shown by the redundant fact that their blank helmet needs to be displayed to represent the team. Then again they have never answered what a “Brown” is, however acknowledgement of “Dawg Pound” in the jersey I believe means that they are at least related to a dog at this point, and not that creepy pedophilic elf their fans love so much.

The Cleveland Browns' nightmare offseason

The Cleveland Browns are reportedly ready to move on from Johnny Manziel.

 

The Cleveland Browns have had a rough offseason.

 

Their offensive coordinator quit, Johnny Manziel entered rehab, and their GM got suspended for illegally texting coaches during games.

 

Perhaps their biggest move of the offseason was signing quarterback Josh McCown, a career backup who's played for five teams in 13 seasons.

 

The Browns looked like a surprise playoff team for most of 2014 before they fell apart with a five-game losing streak to end the season.

 

Going into the 2015 NFL Draft, their quarterback situation is a mess.

 

The Browns lost last year's starting quarterback, Brian Hoyer, for nothing to the Houston Texans in free agency.

 

Manziel, who's set to finish a two-month stint in rehab in early April, reportedly has little support within the Browns' organization. ESPN's Chris Mortensen went on "Mike & Mike" and said the Browns are almost ready to move on from Manziel:

 

"I think about 90 percent (the Browns) have moved on (from Manziel) in their own minds except that they really don't know who they're going to get when Johnny leaves rehab, which has been an extended stay — a two-month stay. He should be getting out in the first week of April if they're satisfied that he's ready to go out and get into society and whatever deep-rooted problems that he had has been addressed."

...

"But the bottom line is Johnny Manziel's future with the Browns has been in question."

 

Mortensen also reported that the Browns were interested in trading for Sam Bradford, but he ultimately got dealt to the Eagles. The hold-up was that the Browns didn't have a quarterback to send to the St. Louis Rams in return.

 

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer recently said that she believes the Browns will try to trade up for Marcus Mariota in the draft and they could make another run at Bradford.

 

In Mortensen's appearance on "Mike & Mike," however, he said he doesn't believe Bradford will be available, and if he is, he wouldn't be interested in signing an extension with the Browns. If the latter is true, it disincentivizes the Browns from making the trade and giving up assets for a one-year rental.

 

Trading up for Mariota is difficult, too. While Browns currently have the 12th and 19th pick in the draft, they would have to give up significant assets to move into range for Mariota. Cabot said she believes Mariota will be drafted between No. 2 or No. 6 in the first round.

 

Bad drafting and constant turnover have hurt the Browns. This year's free agent quarterback class was notably weak, but the Browns still didn't end up with any of the top prospects. If they are close to moving on from Manziel — something owner Jimmy Haslam doesn't indicate is true — it would be another wasted draft pick on a player who played just six quarters his rookie season.

 

Unless something changes, it looks like McCown will be the starter in Week 1.
