  1. So, they're saying that the Bengals hold Estime... in high esteem? Cool.
  2. Could see a CB at 18 if Arnold or Mitchell is available... but guess it depends on who else is there at DT (Murphy) and T. But Michell especially looks like the real deal. And then there's the Dax Hill piece... if they go CB, that gives an indication of where they see Dax playing... is he a S who just got overwhelmed at times last year? Or if they don't go CB, do they see Dax there - either as the nickel starter in waiting - maybe his best spot - or maybe as an outside corner. And if so, do they see DJ Turner as a starter, or is CB2 up for grabs?
  3. .... so he's going to visit each team 15 times? Seems like overkill, but I'm sure they'll get a really good feel for each other.
  4. Same here. He’s not Aaron Donald, but I think he could have a huge impact as an inside presence on the DL.
  5. Yep, his agent was Leigh Steinberg, with whom the Bengals always had a tough time negotiating. I remember watching the draft then, and they showed Klingler’s reaction when he was drafted by the Bengals… it was one of those half-hearted, slow claps - and I remember Steinberg lamenting out loud that he’d have to battle with Mike Brown. Not exactly a confidence-inspiring moment, but in hindsight, it’s pretty damned funny.
  6. Lmao - you’re right. I think that was Erik Wilhelm, the Kaiser. Backup QB, former Oregon State, I think? A lefty also. Saw him play when I was at Michigan.
  7. Oh yeah, he looks different. He's a talent... look forward to year two. In few the pics I've seen, Charlie Jones doesn't look any bigger, but maybe he added some strength. We'll see. Still really like him.
  8. In fairness to Klingler, he was really talented... great arm. But he came from a funky college offense, and the Bengals had a sh&t roster so it didn't help him any. And then Dave Shula was the coach... an unmitigated disaster. He was a poster boy for what not to do... before David Carr.
  9. Thanks - good list. From what I’ve read and heard from draft weenies, sounds like Barton is definitely going in round one. Robinson likely as well. Mitchell is definitely intriguing with his size and speed and big-play ability. Love Roman Wilson and Mason Smith would hit a need for sure. A little wary re Patrick Paul but depending in what happens in round one, could see it on day 2.
  10. For sure… forgot he’d played in Canada. Very good player. Off the top of my head, Andrew Hawkins played in Canada too. Always liked him.
  11. I remember Carson Palmer saying that Chris ran faster, the further he ran. He was able to not only maintain, but increase his speed. He was really talented.
  12. I’ve always liked and respected Charles Davis. Saw this on NFL.com. He’s got some lesser known names here, especially at RB, DT and OL. https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-draft-prospects-charles-davis-would-pound-the-table-for
  13. I like that idea and certainly it's more likely they would move back than forward... especially if it's only a few spots. Could definitely see that happening.
  14. If true, that’s insane… I mean, I get Creed… he was a high pick, so not shocked… but Trey was a late round guy who was highly regarded coming into the draft and I was scratching my head wondering why he was sitting there for so long. A low-risk, high ceiling pick if ever there was one… and he’s been really good for KC. Given the Bengals’ seemingly forever struggles on the OL, why would someone override that?!? Nuts.
  15. maybe it’s me, but I don’t get what “more than more of them” means. Either predictive text got him, or “more than more” is some Pittsburgh slang.
  16. agree with most - but I don’t on Whit. He was a really good guard…. Just provided more value at T, which is what he played at LSU.
  17. If Latham is gone (my first choice), I'd be happy with Fautanu or Barton or Fuaga... Barton has been a multl-year starter at Duke, some at center and most at LT. Smart kid, versatile. Good athlete - moves well, so he'd upgrade the OL that way. From what I've read and heard, he's very well-regarded by NFL scouts/personnel weenies for his tenacity and his technique. Supposedly arms are shorter than ideal. But personally, I wouldn't mind that pick one bit.
  18. Can see that logic for not trading up. But trading down some spots if they have a bunch of guys in a cluster that will likely still be available for them when they pick? Could see that as a possibility.
  19. A number of folks bag on Polk's timed speed but guys like Deebo (4.48) and Aiyuk (4.50) were both in that range, too. UW had a nice crew of receivers - Odunze was the star but both Polk and McMillan will get drafted and Polk has a well-rounded game. And while I really like Roman Wilson and he's faster for sure, Polk has the edge in size and physicality... and he's not slow. Lots of good guys out there. On the pod with Nate Tice, PDJ asked about Corley from WKU... another interesting player who's great with the ball in his hands.
  20. For sure. Love the guy - great athlete but he's really aware, too. Just makes plays, and in the clutch. Definitely a guy you win with. Former WR so he's got a really good feel for routes.
  21. he was dynamic on offense for Michigan… IMO their most explosive offensive player. Consistently made plays for them and he’s tough, too. Isn’t afraid to mix it up or shy away from contact. Really like him and he can play inside or outside.
  22. Tart signed with Miami. Sounds like he wasn’t a fit in Cincinnati.
  23. Thought this was a really good listen. Nate Tice is a sharp guy and he makes some interesting points about priorities and good guys for the Bengals.
