  1. Paul Brown said that Dan Marino would never win a Super Bowl. šŸ„·
  2. [Caveat: My opinions on players are shaped almost exclusively by what you guys say, the articles you post, and the videos that you link.]. Wow, look at who is still available when we pick. Bowers, Murphy II, Mims, Newton, De Jean, Guyton at 18; Fiske and Paul at 49 (I havenā€™t heard much buzz about Rosengarten). I think we would be ā€œokayā€ with any one of those six I listed at 18, so a trade-back (4 or 5 spots) might be desirableā€¦to still get one of those guys PLUS pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick . We could then package some picks to move up, or get an extra pick, in the 2nd or 3rdā€¦and go after other quality players. [I also think the most painful part of the first-round draft will be seeing Pissburg get a coveted player at 20.]

  4. Minor request: Would BlackJesus or a mod please change the first word in this topic to ā€œDraftableā€?
  5. I have seen mock drafts that have a few seemingly coveted players still available at 18, so trading back a few spots and picking up an additional 2nd or 3rd might make sense. Since we already have ten picks, I would hope that we would also be aggressive in packaging those later-round picks to move up and snag ā€œplayers we wantā€ instead of hoping they fall to us. [Obviously, any trade requires a willing partner, so it is not a simple matter.]
  6. I choose to bitch about or praise draft picks on a pick-by-pick basis. There are just so many factors that come into play, including who is ahead of them at that position on the team and who else was available at that point in the draft. šŸ˜Ž

  16. Hmmmā€¦several Murphys and several Browns? Weā€™d have to change the team mascotā€¦
  17. They are doing a mock draft on NFL Network (Have Bengals selecting JC Latham). For the Dolphins at 21 they have them selecting Graham Bartonā€¦as a center (has been playing LT at Duke) and said that he can play ANY position on the offensive line. I wonder now that we have signed Trent Brown at RT if Bartonā€™s versatility might make him more attractive to the Bengals. Thoughts?
  18. Pollack has tips for him??? Sheeeesh! Has anyone seen any signs of successful tips from that guy?
  19. But you can write off bandages on your tax returns. šŸ„·
  20. That's not how the Bengals operate. They are always considering future seasons with every move. Unlike some teams, this team will not mortgage the future.
  21. He could also be the next Isiah Pacheco, the running back selected by the KC Chiefs in the 7th round. Who knows? I would hope that the Bengals have spent some time looking at past drafts to try to determine what player traits or signs might have been missed that allowed players to drop in the draftā€¦Tom Brady (6th round) and Brock Purdy (last pick of the draft) being the most widely known ones, and Rams WR Puka Nacua (5th round) from just last year. Will Tracy be another such player? None of us know. Sounds like he would at least be a good special teams player, and Iā€™d be okay using a 6th-round pick on him, assuming we will have already heavily addressed our holes on the offensive and defensive linesā€¦but Iā€™m a Purdue guy, so I am admittedly biased toward Boilermakers. šŸ˜Ž šŸ¦—
