  1. glad this was settled today. defense made plays, were disruptive, and kept a team to 9 points for 58 minutes. cant ask for much more. the mistakes seem to be geared at the youngsters learning, which is acceptable.
  2. this could be so much worse. pretty neutral, wonder if he has an ablum coming out or doing a tour, no other reason on earth to do this shit for free.
  3. thanks for putting up with my nonsensical postgame following posts, i enjoy seeing and responding to the in game madness, even if no one else likes it, lol
  4. loved to see it. now he knows how joe felt in the superbowl (and most weeks the last two years) man i was just saying over and over to not let them score before the 2 minute warning. couldnt tell but it looked like dax blew the coverage over the top buy the announcer said cheeto should have kept dropping, it was clearly zone, you can let a guy by you in zone buy keep dropping and be worth a damn if no one is over top... did you have goldstar by chance? hahaha, this was funny. lol. and the missed FG, and the magical INT they had. sloppy sloppy game, but got the W, ill take it. they looked great aside from 3-4 mistakes. great to see.
  5. wasnt expecting that with him coming in hurt, but we also didnt have lots of options. with donald taking 2 gays the run defense is gonna be pretty good, our big plays involved a bit of deceit to be successful, so it wasnt something sustainable, got the W tho. would have predicted 30 attempts for joe before the game though. they really did a bad job of injury updates, hope he is alright. lol take it easy. as much as i dislike Volson, he IS going against aaron donald, who tends to abuse just about everyone. this is important. i like this.
  6. lol, yea sure, the defense would hate to just easily single cover a no name dude from the bench and have extra attention for boyd and chase, its not like the defense is slacking off tee because he dropped some balls, even as a decow he is worth more than the other two. oh shit, cool guy alert. incredible play by the defender, MAYBE boyd coulda come back more, but no way you think the defender can pull that play off. that was brutal. we were cruisin a little. those two had a baller ass game, loved to see it. lol better than everyone else on the roster by a large margin. burrow making some off throws due to injury i feel is likely a LOT better than browning being trusted to read this tricky defense, taking longer drops and dealing with donald, etc. browning has taken what 5-6 snaps ever? i dont need that negativity out there.
  7. everyone sucks at drafting oline, because college offenses dont make linemen that are ready for the NFL, an RPO or run QB or roll out every pass QB makes linemen who arent blocking rushers every play like the NFL has. i have poste the data before, which is that 30% of first and second round draft pick linemen in the NFL make it to an extension on the team that drafted them, 70% are out of the league, cut or not re-signed by the team that drafted them. which is why there isnt even half the linemen in the league being good or better. its a shit show, really youre shooting for getting linemen who can be the best fit for your offense style, more so than just finding great guys, cause thats so so so hard to do. in any great line, there is linely 1-2 guys being hidden by the talent around them, and the offense is schemed to continue to hide it. this and finding a legit QB are the two hardest things for an NFL team to do
  8. such a quick hand, i was thinking he was a wasted blitz getting no where and got his hand on that, great play out of a failed scheme, loved it. lol, yea their front 4 doesnt have any all pro hall of famers on it, should be fine. just run it. dude is good for sure, lolololol literally not a single penny has changed for his payday, not a penny. players have off games. he's fine. lololol what even is this.
  9. lmfao. someone is quickly forgetting like 40 years of this teams history, which was indeed a nightmare, this is merely unpleasant. yea, no. reps are vital to keep up to speed, like nba players shoot everyday even though they are the best in the world, the reps are vital, the timing, is vital to keep sharp, they are 100% correct, the reps are effecting it as well as the calf throwing off the typicaly timing. both are a factor 100% lmgdfao what the actual fuck. because so far in joes career, the oline was getting him murdered under center, and turning his back on the defense was getting him murdered, so we moved to shotgun a year or two ago for most all offensive plays. joe keeps everything in front of him, etc. yea thats not it. just has the butter fingers tonight, shit happens, it blows, he had a terrible night. but nothing points to effort. this is the o-line gets people killed we need to buy time and eliminate surpises behind joes back offense. dude what. man no. cant be trusted.
  10. not many other options, we arent built for a inexperienced backup QB without the mind, arm, or experience of burrow either. so really whats the point? i am positive we are not. he absolutely planted his back foot on every throw because thats how you throw.
  11. man this dude is having a really bad time this year. yea its tough, the longer drop backs are more step and plants on that calf AND are designed for longer balls which take more time and risk hits, its sadly the way to go, but is not comfortable to watch. mully, that you? especially when its ALL you do all day everyday for like 8 years. a bad punter is wild to have.
  12. how? the best player on the field is injured, cant run, cant move fast in the pocket, cant roll out. thats like half the playbook, plays that take long enough to need to buy time, especially against aaron donald whose going again VOLSON, like what did you expect to see? the dude cant fast plant and cant run. the offense is very very limited. just not fast enough, if youre dropping 7 you can cover 3 guys easily for a period of time. and we arent willing to run longer developing plays due to joe being so limited. dude wuuuuuuut. joe burrow has never lacked confidence in anything in his life. he just knows better with the calf, the one he has to PLANT on to throw that far and have the time in the pocket to let a play develope that far. OMFG that was fucking bullshit. someone needs to write a letter, espn is so fucking stupid. and also get that score off the screen, why are you showing another games score in the corder. worst shit ever.
  13. this is fucking stupid what the fuck can you do. magically make players good? force free agents to come here? vastly overpay for an oline when you cant afford the talent you have over the next 2-3 years? the fuck magic yall got up your sleeves? area are like 45 good or better olinemen in the LEAGUE. and there are 160 starting linemen. this is almost every teams problem.
  14. this is a very 2005 thing to say. im not sure there is a RB in the league forcing teams to bring a safety into the box. benefit of seeing the outcome this is also funny. defense was a menace. an occasional hiccup, but they did magic out there.
  15. well the problem i think is that we are starting the season in preseason mode every year, and also in dont get joe murdered mode, so we absolutely seem to be playing safe, and this year more so with trying to keep quik safe throws for joe. so even after 3 years, the gameplan has been hampered, but looking back at the vikings and steelers and such, seemed like we came out BLAZING in a few games back then, so i think the sluggish starts MAY be more environmental than poor planning. which is a tough thing to not really know 3-4 years into a coaching staff. i will say i dont care for the WAY they slow start, id prefer some dump passes to the TE and RB, some middle stuff to boyd, etc.. or even go heavy, extra lineman and run mixon with power runs. its like they are trying to keep the gunner mentality but in a eggshell, which doesnt seem to be ideal for anyone.
  16. and man could we really use last years defense, with last years defense we are 1-1 right now.
  17. i hadnt really noticed this, though i have been a bit distracted during the games, ill have to watch for it when i rewatch the games later today
  18. social media has been an issue all over these kids lives, especially with girls, the nice modest chill girls constantly post hoe shit on social media and fake party stuff trying to fit in and look cool, so its russian roulette trying to date chicks for my kid, eliminating hoe ass chicks on social media, later finding out they arent like that at all jut like the attention. my kids had a few light arguments with kids on his team who tout themselves as star players and better than everyone else. and my kids like, thats crazy and here we are both sitting in nebraska on the developmental team, and you had 2 years of film and i had one tournament of film, sitting on the same bench on the same team. kids are delusional. high school and AAU is over, the equalizer has been dropped, youre in the same spot in life man.. who you foolin? chicken and the egg conversation, was social media a result or a cause, or both? social media put all the insecurities everyone has into the online public eye, magnifying the problems. IMO yea the hype and rage before games walking in is like a different world, my kid and i are walking into Paycor last few seasons like ok i like so and so matchup or just we are gonna smash these dudes today type conversations, and people screaming and getting in your face all wild hyped, im happy youre having a good time, but that behavior isnt about sports guy. thats some shit youre working through, hahaha leave me out of it. in cleveland is the most fights per capita i have seen every single time. lol, no chance, anything limited alcohol sales isnt happening. some stadiums average $60/per person in alcohol sales per game. thats like 4 million per game. yea and honestly, with it being local midwest folk security and cops, ive seen people barely able to walk entering the stadium and security and cops just chuckle at them and do nothing, that would absolutely be addressed out here, being trashed out of your mind is just accepted in that region, "we've all been there" type outlook on it. the teams have no motivation to limit alcohol sales, so i dont see it happening at all. they should sell 3.2% alcohol beer at events. thatd slow it down and increase revene
  19. yes please. he should, short sleeve dress shirts are a lost art. my grandpa used to wear them, i love mike brown. fuck aaron donald good good i think(hope) we are all being too harsh on Irv, i feel as if he can have a CJ U type season, perhaps the combo of jo limited and him new to everything is holding it back. he should be better than he has been at least. im a fan. AJ2JC i dont think AJ fits that mold, he was a backup and wasnt here a super long time. so he wasnt ingrained in the old anything really. but who knows. he is a fucking liar.
  20. yea there were a few, i recall joe looking at the one dude mid play who went low like WTF.. such an annoying game, drunk dude next to me and my kid who wasnt a fan of either team, he and his sober friend pick one killer game a year to go to, and that was it, but he thought he was gods gift to football knowledge cause he was a walk on at some shit school, and wouldnt shut the fuck up all game. so that guy plus us getting fucked over, and i apparently had blood sugar levels at like 400 and didnt know i had diabetes (which i have reversed luckily) i barely remember it and the parts a remember were fucking bullshit. i did however book my hotel for KC game this year soon as the schedule hit. hopefully its still a relevant game.
  21. thank you! we will definetly have to meet up next time. I tentatively have my eyes set on that Bills game i think its SNF? only thing that could be in the way would be if my kid has a basketball game and is actually going to play (unlikely as a freshman). so we shall see. Healthwise i am teasing being off the oxygen starting last night, i slept with it on just in case, but all day today i have been off the oxygen and keeping a healthy oxygen level. so going to do some walking around and stuff ans see how it goes, but its looking like today or tomorrow is the end of the oxygen
  22. funny site, here is link to bengals 15 cheating moments they have: https://yourteamcheats.com/CIN
  23. man this shit is wild AF. cool that its th elocal team, man college football wasnt talked about here, nothing but flags of teams from elsewhere, there are more big 10 flags in my neighborhood than CU or CSU. this has lit the city on fire, and i LOVED Deion as a kid, had his diamond to turf gear, his shoes, one of my favorite athletes. i still dont care enough to go to games, but ive sure as hell turned them on on saturday. so wierd that its the local team he hopped to.
  24. Callahan does 90% of the weekly gameplan, and install with the position coaches, everything that allows zac to be on the same page and call plays, callahan gives a few options and reasons and zac makes a call on gamedays, which is why we are s slight bit slow getting plays in sometimes, we have that extra step that very few teams have.
  25. it really does make sense, and its usually the opposite, offense always driving, rarely a 3 and out in the past, so this is probably a huge huge factor, which makes sense. agreed all around, how long does figuring it out take? honestly i think we are safe keeping Loud another year with the way the defense is performing. yea, agreed, a perfect storm of suck, what is the timeframe you predict before everyone is settled and running smoothly on that side of the ball? i cant decide if its 2-3 more weeks or like week 12. maybe it takes a few wins to get the confidence up in some guys, if you give up a big play and lose, it can eat at you, and lose confidence, if you give up a big play and get the win still, you can learn and grow faster for some people.
