I wanted to replace him before he played one game, so all this "after one week?!?" does not refer to me lol.. My quote before the season was to the effect of "The one thing that scares me is our crappy punter Brad Robbins. Sure he has hang time but a 40 yard average is not going to cut it. When he kicked from the end zone the other teams will start in our territory. That's not acceptable. When punting from deep on our end the opposing team will be a first down and a few yards from a FG attempt.". Sure enough for the first half of the game Cleveland had awesome field position because of our crappy crappy punter. He sucks.. His college stats wouldn't have even put him in the top 10 in the NFL so if he's all about the hang time then he's pretty shitty.

Well that's what our coaches wanted, they had a guy that could boom it but they cut him in place of Robbins.

If the punter on a team is your biggest concern then you are in a good place.

Mixon did look livelier on Sunday than most of last season. He was able to turn the corner a couple of times.

I agree, I thought he looked very spry and the Bengals made a mistake by not going to him early in the game to slow down the pass rush and get the offensive line in attack mode. They came out passing in the ran against the best pass rusher in the conference and it didn't go well for then entire game.

Hopefully, this week they come out looking to establish the run game early, but I doubt that will happen.

  3. AJ is one of my all time favorites, I loved the way he went about his business and played at an elite level. I wish he had a better QB to help him win some playoff games because he is a HOF'er but his team didn't have the success so he never got his just due, IMO.

If anyone from the post-2003 or AM Bengals deserves to be in the HOF, it's Adrieal Jeremiah Green(in Dan Hoard's voice)!

  4. The Bengals may be the odds-on favorite but based on how both teams are currently playing I think Baltimore has the advantage with the momentum. They still have plenty of weapons on offense and that defense is still a top 10 unit, IMO. The Ravens are definitely looking for some get back after the loss in the playoffs last year and I know the Bengals will be ready to go after last week's debacle, so it should be a great game.

  5. This is not happening, JB will be playing. This team has no shot without him so keeping him wrapped in bubble wrap doesn't help anyone.

You can't play football if you are scared of getting hurt, because that is how you get hurt. The Bengals and Burrow have done everything they can to avoid injury outside of sitting indefinitely.

Let him play, if he gets hurt then those are breaks...break it up, break it up, break it up!!! If your franchise QB blows his achilles tendon after resting a strained calf for a month...that's the breaks!

If the Bengals offered 20 mil or more per year, Tee should have taken it. As it is, he's playing for under 4 mil this season, will get tagged for about 22 mil next year, then the team has the option to tag him for 2025 at around 26.5 mil. He's carrying at least 2 and maybe 3 seasons of injury risk. If he has a serious knee injury, he may never make what he's turned down. If he stays healthy, he can play 10 years or more in the NFL. He's not a burner, he wins at the point of attack with size and strength. That isn't going away.

So he should have signed an extension for at least 2 or 3 seasons and banked some real money in case he gets hurt. He can buy insurance but the specialist insurance companies are known for being extremely reluctant to pay out on loss of value policies.

I think Tee is looking at how his agent handled Jessie Bates, NFC Defensive Player of the Week, contract and is fine with that plan of action Tee can play here for 2 more years(this season and one franchise deal), see if he can win a Super Bowl, and then get paid to be a #1 WR somewhere else.

Bates is the 4th highest-paid player at his position and made more money in a signing bonus with his new deal then he did his entire career up to that point, who wouldn't want an agent with a track record of getting his clients generational wealth?

How is an agent getting top dollar a scumbag?  He’s doing what his clients want.  That makes Higgins a scumbag too.  I guess Bates is a scumbag too.

I don’t believe that, but you can’t call the agent a scumbag and not apply it to the player that hired him.

Higgins deserves to get a big contract, and if the Bengals can’t afford it I wish him good luck.

Exactly, it's business. How is a player trying to maximize their earning potential a scumbag, that is literally one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

Agents work at the behest and on behalf of the player, they're not just doing whatever they feel like doing or what benefits them the most.

Is Joe Burrow a scumbag or is any other player that signs a big-money extension? BJ, you sound like a little kid who doesn't understand how the world works when you post this stuff.

  8. Those Elves put an Orc-sized ass whupping on the Bengals, but Jamarr could only do so much. With Burrow playing like he did, there was not much he could do.

JaMarr's shit-talking game is weak tho...Elves...really. He's got to step it up, he should link up with Cincinnati natives Katt Williams and Gary Owens to get some lessons.

FWIW, I’ve given up trying to figure out polling on the Presidential race. You have 73% of Democrats saying they don’t want Biden to be the nominee in one poll, but no one is even close to him in other polls (partially because the only other person running against him right now is RFK Jr. And most Democrats don’t like him). Then on the Republican side you see a similar disconnect with Trump. Most Republicans don’t want him to be the nominee but he’s way ahead of the overcrowded Republican field. You have the age issue with Biden (and in all fairness Trump as he’s only 3 years younger but you never hear about it) and all the indictments with Trump. I cannot believe that with 330,000,000 people in this country, this is the best we can come up with to run for President? Neither one is running to do what’s best for this country. It’s all ego, and it’s sad.

    Well said!

As a country we can do a hell of a lot better than either Trump or Biden....can't we...if not we're screwed as neither one of them are very good at being President.

This is what our Presidential debates look like.

    Keep him this year.

Franchise and trade him next offseason.

Use the draft pick on a WR

Use the money on Jonah and Reader

The highest paid QB in NFL history shouldn't need 2 top 10 WRs.

There's no guarantee there will be a trade partner and if they franchise him that's less money available to re-sign JaMarr and others; just let him go and get a comp pick.

There will always be a WR available that is a good value.

  11. I don't think Tee is getting a deal done with the Bengals. The average annual salary for the top 10 WRs in the NFL is $25mm, no way the Bengals can afford to give Tee that kind of money and then pay JaMarr $30-40 million per year, because that's what he will be getting.

Tee will get paid, his agent will ensure that, it just won't be in Cincinnati. His agent isn't going to let him take a team friendly deal, which is what it sounds like the Bengals are offering.
