  1. The steam Murphy is picking up makes me think he might not even make it to 18.
  2. Pretty important that probably sees C2/C3/C6 more than any other team in the league outside the Phins. If Ladd runs well at the combine he won’t in discussion in round 2. Nabers going top 10. BT jr. maybe not as great of a fit as I thought.
  3. Might have something to do with the fact that they had 44 sacks and ~40% of them came from one guy.
  4. Yep - could be Latu. Think that neck injury he had could scare teams away and he’s older. Going to be quite a few good names sitting around at our spot if the quarterbacks keep flying up the board.
  5. I don’t know anything about him - but interesting.
  6. I love Dobbins if he can pass a physical. He’s uber talented and has low mileage. Not sure how much injuries have taken a toll though and if the bengals would be willing to take that risk.
  7. Macdonald did so much disguising pre-snap that Joe couldn’t figure him out. Big difference from the Wink M. defenses.
  8. Macdonald to Seattle and hopefully taking some defensive guys with him. He was nasty in Baltimore.
  9. Thanks for sharing. Very interesting in regards to Dax. Wouldn’t even commit to him playing safety next year. Didn’t play well at the perimeter his rookie year. Didn’t play safety all that well and now they need to decide where to play him? Would be pretty devastating after they had their sights set on karlafitis.
  10. I just don’t know what team would give up a first rounder for him. Four guys are supposed to go top 20ish and would rather reset with a rookie with four years of cheap control and two years of option/FT. Then you have the Stealers/Ravens/Chiefs who they would not make a deal with or likely the Bills. Then you have the Rams/Eagles/Packers/Dolphins/9ers who aren’t in need of or can afford to go after another highly paid receiver for various reasons. That leaves you with the Texans/Cowboys/Lions who have Collins/Lamb/Amon coming up. Think you could remove the Cowboys from that group. Bucs? Possibly. Cardinals? Might draft MHjr. Maybe? Could probably throw the Jags into the mix due to the Clemson connection. Carolina has the first pick in round 2, but if you can’t replace him in round 1 and lose TB? You just destroyed the backbone of your Super Bowl aspirations. I think they value him more than they can get for him and have a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl with he and Chase on the roster next year. The pie comment is interesting though..
  11. While hindsight sucks in regards to Jones - they just whiffed on a dude who doesn’t care about football in Carman. Don’t think that was a risk they were willing to take on day two. He would have been the perfect prototype to have gotten behind La’el. Do think Battle is going to be a stud in their defense.
  12. Luckily for you they are going to do that with the money they save cutting Joe.
  13. Really love what the lions did in the draft. Ignored positional value and just took guys who could play ball.
  14. Karlaftis is so nice. Would have been awesome across from Trey.
  15. Yep. Their offense is on life support. Can’t run the ball and are throwing everything short of the sticks. They might need another turnover here.
  16. Really good stuff. Wonder if Ryans did the same thing this year with the Texans which resulted in a fairly slow start after looking so good against Buffalo and SF. Getting guys in the route is going to be a big reason why I’d expect to see a FA signing at tight end and a day 1/2 pick on WR. Get some playmakers in routes.
  17. I’d be more inclined to get an X guy to replace Tee and get Jamarr into the Z to give him more free releases. The goal should be to get Jamarr as little interruption as possible to get him into the route as quick as possible. Big guys who can run and actually play football are worth their weight in gold. Probably why teams are focusing more on athletic tight ends instead of slot receivers.
  18. A lot of parallels to the Jessie situation. I don’t necessarily think it will be their first rounder, but I’d expect it to be very much on their radar on day two.
  19. https://themessenger.com/sports/2024-nfl-draft-wide-receiver-wr-class-ranking-scouting-reports nice write up on potential receivers. Not sure if they will go after a Tee replacement - X or Tyler replacement Z. The guys who stand out are Brian Thomas Jr. (Think more souped up Tee) and Adonai Mitchell or Isaiah Williams (looks like a smaller Tyler). I think it will be a day two pick unless Odunze slips or if they fall in love with Thomas Jr. Just thinking about how they like to get Jamarr in the Z spot, I would imagine they wouldn’t want a piece that would lock him into the boundary - so likely not only a guy who can play Z.
  20. Even if you think he is that caliber of player - which id say is way closer to Andy Dalton/Taylor Heinicke - those quarterbacks required minimal capital to acquire. Goff was a salary dump. Mayfield was cut. Purdy was the 9th 49ers pick in the draft. And they were all young. There isn’t a team in the league that has superstars at skill positions that is going to reset with 28 year old Jake Browning. Justin Fields maybe.
  21. That’s kind of the point. Who’s going to trade for him when his ceiling is middle of the pack. Why are second and third picks even being spoken about?
  22. Well you are going to get your wish. No one is trading for him. Not even Brian Callahan to have him hold a clipboard for the Titans next year.
  23. Without knowing much about the Titans, I imagine Boyd and Nabers would give Levis a real nice launching board to pair with Hopkins.
