  1. Has The Dullton signed anywhere yet? Have been lukewarm on the outcomes so far, but then read this and am feeling better! https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2024/3/18/24104547/free-agency-takeaways-kirk-cousins-dak-prescott-saquon-barkley-justin-fields 4. The Cincinnati Bengals are making moves that make sense. All right, where are my football hipsters? Grab a PBR, and come on over. Let’s talk about an under-the-radar offseason that has made a lot of sense to me. It’s that of the Cincinnati Bengals! They are not trying to steal any offseason headlines. They’re just trying to fill in some gaps on what is shaping up to be a Super Bowl–caliber roster. The Bengals defense was a disappointment last season, and that’s where their focus has been in free agency. They signed safety Geno Stone to a two-year, $14 million deal. Stone is entering his age-25 season. He is a ball hawk with a high football IQ. Stone had seven interceptions and nine passes defended for the Ravens last offseason. I love his fit in the scheme of Captain Lou (Anarumo). The Bengals got a young, ascending player who should be an upgrade at the position, and they didn’t have to break the bank to do it. At the other safety spot, they brought back Vonn Bell for just $1.2 million. Bell had three excellent seasons in Cincinnati, but he left last offseason to sign with the Panthers in free agency. That didn’t work out for him, and now he’s back—count that as a huge win for the Bengals. On the other side of the ball, they signed running back Zack Moss for two years ($8 million with $3 million guaranteed), and they moved on from Joe Mixon. Moss is less expensive than Mixon, and he ran well for the Colts last season. Cincinnati can now pair Moss with second-year player Chase Brown for an inexpensive backfield. If they draft a running back who winds up playing over one or both of those guys, great. If not, they have set a decent floor for the running game without spending significant resources. In the second wave of free agency late last week, the Bengals brought in defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (two years, $24.5 million) to try to get some more pass-rush juice. And they’re taking a low-cost flier (one year, $2.5 million with $400,000 guaranteed) on tight end Mike Gesicki. Not all of these moves will work out, and none are really intended to put the Bengals over the top. But the moves all make sense. Cincinnati already has the big pieces (Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Trey Hendrickson) in place. It’s about making smart bets on the margins, and that’s exactly how the team has approached this offseason. Of course, the Tee Higgins situation is still hanging over them. The Bengals used the franchise tag on him, but Higgins is reportedly looking for a trade. This situation seems pretty straightforward: If another team offers a nice package, you consider it. If not, the Bengals keep Higgins for 2024 and try to go on a run. Burrow’s injuries ruined the Bengals’ 2023 season, but in many ways, it was still an encouraging year. They found a good backup in Jake Browning and showed they could still be competitive without Burrow. Now you add in what has been a sensible offseason so far, and I see a team that should be right back in the Super Bowl mix.
  2. I didn't watch the entire game, but I was surprised how McCaffery was amazing in OT, but didn't do much in the 2nd half.
  3. Great ending. 49ers deserve Super Bowl misery I don't mind Mahomes. Like him better than Brady, LeCrap Jackson, Rapistburger, Purdy. The Chiefs aren't winning 3 in a row. Rats turn on Jackson who is a choker Bills will go downhill It's the Bengals year
  4. Perfect day for Bengals fans. LeVar Jackson sucks yet again. Here is hoping this causes major issues in the off-season for the Rats. Hopefully a crisis of confidence and a tailspin ending for his career. If the Chiefs win again, will Kelce retire? And the Lions history of losing has been missing any truly painful defeats. Now they get one. Hilarious. I want nothing but more pain and misery for fellow Great Lake bottom feeders (Lions, Clowns, Bills) until the Bengals win a Super Bowl.
  5. I used to call him Randy Buttocks back in the day so I just combined both nicknames.
  6. Not a current enemy, but fat Randy Buttocks just missed a field goal for the Giants.
  7. Dee Ford. He's a KC defensive lineman and I think Brady threw an INT on the play that was negated.
  8. I can't believe the Broncos will make the playoffs. Same for Stealers. Both look hopeless. If the Bengals go 3-1 and don't make it, it will be the loss to Hooston that ends up keeping them out.
  9. It's been great over the last 3 years how stupid Brewer-esque plays are no longer made by the Bengals. Not sure who was the KC WR who lined up offsides, but that might be the dumbest thing I've seen in awhile. I can't imagine a 3-1 finish won't result in a playoff appearance. Since they are fighting against the Stillers and Browns those are most wins anyway.
  10. I figured the season was over when Joe went down. And over again when Browning broke his thumb. But we are still alive!
  11. See you in 2024. If Browning looks like trash, hope they lose every game the rest of the year. Need a top pick. Losing hope that Burrow is THE man. 4 years. 2 season ending injuries. Not good.
  12. Hooston results this year have been all over the place. They blew out Pittsburgh and blew out Jacksonville on the road but lost to Carolina and Atlanta. WTF The Jacksonville game is their only road win.
  13. I don't think I've seen a Bengal LB ever make a better play in a big moment than Pratt's INT last week....until his punch out causing a fumble in the red zone. Wow
  14. Anbody else have Marvin Lewis flashbacks to that stupid challenge? nice when the other coach is a moron.
  15. I'm assuming nobody had the Irv Brewer and Urine Sample TD parlay?
  16. Was Allen even under pressure? Don't you have to have the threat of a sack to get a grounding call? And Taylor-Britt was a very odd tackle that should have been penalized.
  17. Happy Halloween guys! Today is the 10 year anniversary of the MNF game against Miami. Highlighted by: Geno tearing his knee Gio reversing field for a 40 (or so) yard touchdown run The Dullton getting sacked in the end-zone for a walk off safety. Typical primetime Dullton.
  18. Ha ha. I haven't been on this board much as the beginning of the season has been such a downer. But hopefully I'm back...just like the team. I kind of like Turd Smith.
  19. Anybody have a good nickname for Irv Smith, the latest in the long line of crappy tight ends?
