Johnny Newton highlights

^ Bengals likely now realizing that Byron Murphy will be gone by pick 18, so want to get a look at Newton.

^ Bengals should take Estime with one of their 3rd Rd picks. Can't risk waiting longer.

ie the freebee they got for renting out Vonn Bell for a year, to trade up in round two for a juicy slider
who is higher in the round,.
If the Bengals don't take an RT in RD 1, then it becomes imperative to get Patrick Paul in my view, even if it means trading up in Rd 2.

I could see Murphy going #8 to Atlanta and everyone saying they reached. But to me, he's a better prospect than Dallas Turner who most mocks have them taking.

Wonder if the Bengals would pass on a prospect because his agent is very difficult to deal with?
I would. Mulugheta is a POS and I can't find record of the Bengals ever reaching a negotiated contract with any of his clients. It's personal with him at this point.
If I was Mike Brown I would ban him from the stadium with a restraining order.

Chances of any of them signing??
... They are all draft eligible first, so the entire league has the chance, not just the Bengals.

There are always certain players who always shoot up the boards in the last week before the draft, as evaluators realize they were either previously slotted too low, or valued way more by teams than draft evaluators had anticipated.
Some of those players that I predict will fit that cycle this time around include:
- Graham Barton (C/G)
- Darius Robinson (DE/DT)
- Adonai Mitchell (WR)
- Roman Wilson (WR)
- Maason Smith (DT)
- Patrick Paul (OT)
* Ironically the Bengals have shown interest in all of them and could draft any of them in Rd 1 or 2.

The question I guess is: Can a team be built for the track meet of Kansas City and the tractor haul of Baltimore / Cleveland? Or do you have to choose and perfect one or the other.
Plus, does it matter if the Bengals go 3-3 in the AFC North, but ultimately beat the Texans and Chiefs in the playoffs to make the Super Bowl? Winning the division is of course the goal, but that can still be done while .500 in the division.

Chris Simms on Mims (ranked as his 3rd best OT in the class)
* He compares him to Trent Brown (who could mentor him here)

^ I am really puzzled by his rankings of Fashanu at 21, Latham at 32, and Mims at 40. All 3 of them could easily go in the top 15-18 picks.

I need this rumor / leak to be true with every ounce of my being 🧡🖤 ...
and fuck Tee's agent for maybe holding this up!
