Top Ten Offensive Linemen ... interesting take,
Cheat sheet:
1. Fashanu
2. Alt
3. Latham
4. Fautanu
5. Mims
6. Barton
7. Fuaga
8.Suamataia
9. Morgan
10. Powers-Johnson
I would love to get Powers-Johnson if for no other reason than to screw over the Stealers

I'm adding Mims to the "I don't think he will be there" list with Bowers (of course) and Murphy.

So.... If Patrick Paul tested in the top 25 over the last 20 years or whatever and by all accounts had a good collegiate career, what exactly makes him a 2nd round pick other than the massive amount of group think done by the draftnik community. I seriously hate the shit that most of these guys peddle to fans as actual analysis but I guess the fans gobble it up.
He's a bit older than the other OT prospects

Back in the preseason last year, the NFLN had a segment on who would be breakout players for 2023. Schrager was touting CTB even then. Cam would make a high quality CB2 if he stays healthy and available. But he's at best an average CB1 when healthy. Someone like Quinyon Mitchell has a much higher ceiling than Cam.
and won't be there

Too big of an "if".
Does he have enough years to retire?

Would not mind and nor be surprised if they used one of the extra third round picks,
ie the freebee they got for renting out Vonn Bell for a year, to trade up in round two for a juicy slider
who is higher in the round,.
I just do not want to see a wide receiver taken until Round three at the highest.

Same here. He’s not Aaron Donald, but I think he could have a huge impact as an inside presence on the DL.I don't think he, like the tight end, will be there. Unfortunately.
Ergo not getting my hopes up.
One more week...

Eh, Baltimore seems to fall on their face in the playoffs, even when they win the AFCN.
Winning a Super Bowl means beating the Chiefs to get there. That's why I'm not necessarily locked in on a RT. Bowers or Q Mitchell would add a lot of value in 2024.
Bottom line is Baltimore is one injury to Lemur away from Palookaville.
Same for Kansas City and Mahones.
I honestly do now wish ill, harm or injury on anyone but
they're overdue. Just sayin'
And every one of us here knows how that affects a team.

Has any CFL player signed by the Bengals been productive?
Just askin
Ancient Bengals History...
In the 1977 Draft Paul Brown used a 4th round draft pick for Georgia ORT Mike Wilson who would have gone
in the first round if he had not already signed a contract with Toronto in the CFL.
He played there a year before coming to the Bengals to play ORT for many years overlooked because he
played next to ORG Max Montoya and he was the book end for young OLT Anthony Munoz.
He was one of my favorite Bengals ever. Mike Wilson was overlooked and underrated.

Slim pickens 2nd aside from Paul
.I want an OT in Rd1..
The rest be damned.😎
If Murphy happens to be there in round one (not likely) you have to take him and go
OT in round two.
If one of the aforementioned do not slide or you don't trade up for one who does (would love that)
then one of the guys mentioned, perhaps.
The rap on Paul is he is a bit older than the other

Late round/free agent fodder?
Maybe Jackie Treehorn can give us a scouting report.
Bengals meet with NFL Draft prospect from Toronto Argonauts
Some players' journeys to the NFL are very different from others, and that can be exemplified in the 2024 NFL Draft with Toronto cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers.
Stiggers played the 2023 season with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts and, despite being born in America, never played college football.
That hasn’t stopped the Cincinnati Bengals and many other NFL teams from showing interest in the former CFL star. According to Aaron Wilson. Stiggers has a visit planned with the Bengals on Wednesday.
During his freshman year of college, Stiggers ended up dropping out due to a tragedy in his family while being there on scholarship. After a couple of years away from the sport, he eventually started back up in a small indoor football league, where former CFL offensive coordinator Josh Jenkins was coaching. He convinced Stiggers to try out and was able to help him get a tryout with the Argonauts, who eventually signed him.
Despite his lack of playing experience, he played in all 16 games for the Argonauts as a rookie, recording 53 tackles and five interceptions. He was also named the CFL’s most outstanding rookie and named an East All-Star.
Following that, Stiggers got some NFL interest as he received an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl, where he played well. He seems to have caught the attention of the NFL for sure, as he is represented on Day 3 of several large boards, such as Dane Brugler, who lists him as a sixth-round pick.
The Bengals need a backup at outside corner for 2024 and beyond, and if Stiggers is available on Day 3, that could be a value too good to pass up on. He has all the size and measurables and was able to step into a league that, while not being the NFL, is still very competitive overall.
He even had five interceptions in his debut season for the CFL, and with that being his first and only year playing real football since he graduated high school in 2020, that suggests he still has room to grow and develop as a player.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::;
Article confusing in that did they already meet with him or are they going to meet with him Wednesday? Didn't read anything locally or on Bengals.com.
Not a Precinct dinner kind of guy but probably good for a Skyline 4-Way and a few cheese conies.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I do not like the term "develop as a player" and it was used about a couple of the OT's in a previous post. But, as noted by others on here, the Bengals do have a lot of draft picks and can draft a couple to push borderline vets and contribute on special teams. Or even develop on the practice squad to step up and in when ready. We'll see.

Nice article on OT's who may be there and of interest for Round Two if the Bengals would go Byron Murphy in Round 1... which I would not mind at all.
Some familiar names here....
Patrick Paul, Houston
Javon Foster, Missouri
Jordan Morgan, Arizona
Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma
Kingsley Suamataia, BYU
All seem to have high upside but still... some "ifs", question marks and disclaimers but all have the dreaded Po-ten-tial.
Dunno... could be a Jackson Carman or Dumwad Jones.

Great upbeat attitude and seems like he really wants to be here.
Hope he is here a lot longer than the one year contract.
(assuming, of course, things work out well on the field)

I really hope they don't move back and the Stealers get the guy we want.
Ie... Mims.
If the Steals end up with Mims and we don't have one of those F guys, I'll toss my cookies.

I think the Bengals need to be prepared to move up a few slots. They have 10 draft picks and 10 new guys are not even making this roster.
I don't see them moving up in the first round (perhaps unfortunately depending on the way the cookie crumbles) because
I can't see them giving up their number 18 and their second round choice to move up for someone who arguably may not
be a lot better than who is there or who may slide.
Now... our second and one of out thirds to move up higher for a slider (not a wide receiver) would be nice
or even both our thirds for another second...
But can't see them trading up in the first.
Trade down... maybe. But I would still like to make a pick before Pittsburgh.
If Nix or Penix are there at 18... someone will want them.
In Pumpkin and Duke I Trust.
As a P.S.
After reading all the stuff here and about players they are bring in for a look-see... taking to dinner at Outback rather than The Precinct,
I am really interested in Rounds 3-4 and perhaps lower where they go with a player with more meh underwear Olympic measurable
but a real bad ass mammyjammer in pads on the field.

Not gonna lie, I actually liked these lol. Sort of similar to the St Louis era rams look with the gold and dark blue
While not really caring about other teams' uniforms I think the Rams jumped the shark
when they went away from the curled horns on their helmets. Iconic and original.
Like the Bengals going with stylized tiger stripes.

Cheat Sheet:
1. Byron Murphy
2. Keon Coleman WR Florida State
3. Blake Fisher, the other Notre Dame OT

the fatal error here for her like everyone else picking Byron Murphy in the first round (I, too, would love it) is he won't
be there.
