  1. You have not been around for awhile but you are right. The whole Taylor Swift Travis Kelce dog and pony show is a good example of theatrical entertainment vs sports enterprise. I mean, who cares?
  2. Agree. A.J. "Better than Browning" McCarron Seriously, I think McCarron could be/is a better quarterback than Jake Browning. Everything you stated above gives him a better chance of winning football games than Jake Browning. I also think we will see him sooner rather than later, one way or another either the the Intelligence Fairy waiving its magic wand over the coaching staff and putting him in over Jake rather than the usual trying to pound a square peg into a round hole or our really offensive line will necessitate his insertion into the game. Was considering skipping the annual invasion of the inbreds Stealers game but have reconsidered because it may very well be a way to see A.J."Better than Kenny Pickett" McCarron pull one out of the tiger's ass.
  3. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/browns-reportedly-working-veteran-qb-155108515.html Flacco apparently visiting the Clowns.
  4. Had who? Could not understand her. And she does not seem to know we have A.J. McCarron. Speaking of the trade deadline... I am more sorry now than I was at the time that they did not get Carl Lawson back. Trey and Sam getting banged up, Ossai disappointing and Mild Murphy sucks even more ass (there. I said it) when you think about who and what positions they passed up to draft him. Typical Bengals 20/20 hindsight. Observations, now whining but dang... Time for the Bengals Powers that Be to give more thought to building, strengthening and evolving the team than dumb ass and massively annoying "game day experience" shit. "Get Loud"... give me a break. Play the f'n game.
  5. Speaking of gambling... https://www.fox19.com/2023/11/17/class-action-lawsuit-against-bengals-coming-barstool-sports-founder-says/ Class action lawsuit against Bengals coming, Barstool Sports founder says CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy says he is filing a class action lawsuit against the Cincinnati Bengals and NFL. Portnoy posted a screenshot around 7:30 p.m. Thursday of a $120,000 bet he placed on the Bengals to cover the four-point spread against the Baltimore Ravens. Just a few hours later, star quarterback Joe Burrow left the game with an injury to his right wrist. The injury caught the spotlight not just for what it meant to the Bengals’ season, but also because of the possibility Cincinnati knew Burrow might have been injured before the game. The Bengals tweeted out a photo on Wednesday of Burrow walking off the team plane. In the photo, you can see a wrap around his right wrist. The Bengals tweet was later deleted. Some on social media have claimed it was an iPad glove on his wrist rather. With ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that the NFL is now investigating the Bengals to determine if Cincinnati violated the league’s injury report policy, Portnoy wrote on X that he is filing a class action lawsuit against the franchise. “There is no shot I put 100k hard earned dollars on the Bengals if I knew Joe Burrow was injured going into the game,” Portnoy wrote.
  6. Exactly and I think it goes beyond that. The decision to play if injured be it calf or now possibly sprained wrist should be made by the head coach, not the player which seems to be happening here. Of course, if he sees something and as Ja'Marr says, "He's the smartest guy I know", change it. But ultimately it is Zac who will be held responsible and accountable.
  7. Something I've not see addressed nor do I expect to this soon... Let's go with sprained wrist... How long does that take to heal up? Superdupercalioutiously optimistic but... ummm... maybe ready to go vs Pittsburgh? And will I get the pony for Christmas that I asked for when I was 4 years old?
  8. Here we go... https://www.foxnews.com/sports/nfl-probes-bengals-injury-reporting-joe-burrows-ailment-deleted-x-video-reports NFL probes Bengals' injury reporting amid Joe Burrow's ailment, deleted X video: reports The NFL reportedly launched an investigation into the Cincinnati Bengals over their injury report when it came to Joe Burrow, after the star quarterback left Thursday night’s game with a wrist injury. Burrow was not listed on the team’s injury report going into the game against the Baltimore Ravens. The team posted a video on X, which appeared to show him having a soft cast on his right hand, but later deleted the post. On Cincinnati’s touchdown drive in the second quarter, Burrow was seen in clear pain as he threw a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon. He was replaced on the next drive. "It looks like he sprained his wrist. Felt it on that touchdown pass," Bengals coach Zac Taylor said after the game. According to ESPN, the league takes injury report violations seriously, and if teams are found to violate the rule, the punishment comes in the form of fines or docked draft picks. The NFL reportedly warned teams in the spring meetings about reporting injuries properly. The Bengals did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. (Edited out the game blah blah blah... we know it already hsh)
  9. ***** I'm waiting for Stephen A's comments I never heard of a "hip-drop tackle" until just right now ago. Well, I did not know it had a name. And didn't the Bengals get flagged for the vs Texans?
  10. Zac will have to ask Joe Burrow's permission because Burrow seems to be running the team now. Changing plays at the line of scrimmage (not that there's anything wrong with that) and I'm injured (calf, wrist?) but I'll play. But, yeah, I was calling for McCarron last night even though not available. He's been around the block for a number of years and does count as a savvy aging veteran. I honestly think he has more of a chance of winning a few (and screwing up the draft pick) than Jake Browning. Speaking of the draft... Joe will want the hottest wide receiver out there. No s all around.
  11. The Good: I didn't have to pay to see this shit show, didn't have to stand in line at the rest room and I don't have to drive home. G' night all.
