Bandwagonners may.
Sois won't.
So true. Sois is hard core, bleeds orange and black.
Speaking of bandwagonners... all the kerfluffle and Danish at work all week
was about the Gen Z etc's favorite half time show. It was like they did not have
a clue a football game was going to be played.
Half time entertainment at the first Super Bowl was the University of Arizona and
Grambling marching bands. A football game and a great college marching band at
half time. Football the way God intended because He lets it be played on Sunday.
Just showed who Taylor Swift dragged into the game. Bet they have not seen three
football games in the last five years between them.
One thing... tonight I am watching "Nature Boy" on Netflix. Mini doc/bio on
The Nature Boy, Ric Flair! Woooo OOO!
P.S.
P.S.S. I did go to Hard Rock Casino this morning and put money on the Chiefs simply because
I don't want to see Chadwick have to give up McDonalds.

It was the happiest dream ever , but in the dream, I logged on to go Bengals and retired from being an NFL fan. Are y'all going to retire when Burrow wins it all next year?
Why would anyone do that?

Going into this season Id rate CJ in the top five..
Mahomes
Burrow
Allen
Stroud
Herbert
Common denominator..
All AFC QBs..
And no Lemur or Watson the Wanker.

Tag Tee
Wide receiver round one next year.
Dance with Yoshi and Charlie Crinkle this season,
maybe a mid-low draft pick or a cheap rent-a-player
one year aging free agent with some tread on the tires
and get on with it.

Is this another Joe Burrow thread?

Personal stance on the Stupid Bowl...
I am not watching.
Way too much hype and bottom line when I think
about it, I don't care for either team.
Fuck em' both.
And may God Bless each and every friend on here who
chooses to watch it. I sincerely hope you enjoy it and
all the festivities that go with it. Seriously.
I go to and watch Bengals games for the game itself, not the
game day experience. This is a game day experience about
two teams I don't even like. Fuck 'em.
If they ain't the Bengals, they're just shit.

Bengals name new quarterbacks coach, hire new pass game coordinator
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Bengals announced three key moves Thursday.
The team:
- Promoted Brad Kragthorpe to quarterbacks coach
- Hired Justin Rascati as pass game coordinator
- Promoted Jordan Kovacs to secondary/safeties coach
Rascati comes to Cincinnati from the Minnesota Vikings, where he spent the past two seasons (2022-23) as assistant offensive line coach, the team said in a news release.
He previously served as an offensive quality control coach with the Denver Broncos from 2019-21.
Prior to his NFL coaching career, Rascati spent seven years in assistant roles at the collegiate level.
He served as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga (2017-18), offensive coordinator at Tennessee Tech University (’16), passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach at the University of Tennessee-Martin (’14-15), and quarterbacks coach at Weber State University (’12-13).
Rascati began his collegiate playing career as a QB at the University of Louisville in 2003, before transferring to James Madison University. He passed for 5912 yards and 51 TDs in three seasons at JMU (2004-06), and in ‘04 helped lead the Dukes to a 13-2 record and the program’s first FCS national championship.
Kragthorpe concluded his fifth season on the Bengals’ coaching staff in 2023, and his first in the role of assistant quarterbacks coach. He spent the previous two seasons (2021-22) as assistant wide receivers coach, after serving as offensive assistant from ‘19-20.
Kragthorpe spent the 2018 season as an offensive analyst at Louisiana State University, working with an offense that featured Bengals QB Joe Burrow and WR Ja’Marr Chase. He began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant coach at Utah State University (2016-17).
As a player, Kragthorpe spent one season at Idaho State University (2011), then transferred to LSU for his final three years of eligibility. He played in 25 games for the Tigers as a reserve QB and holder on placekicks.
Kovacs concluded his fifth season on the Bengals’ coaching staff in 2023. He spent the past two seasons (2022-23) as assistant linebackers coach, after serving as a defensive quality control coach from ‘19-21. Like Kragthorpe, he demonstrated leadership, intelligence and developmental traits that proved valuable on the coaching staff.
Kovacs came to Cincinnati after spending two seasons (2017-18) in coaching roles at the University of Michigan, his alma mater, where his collegiate career began as a walk-on and concluded as an All-Big Ten second team selection and captain.
Kovacs played in 28 NFL games over three seasons (2013-15) as a safety with the Miami Dolphins. He also spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad in 2014, and with the Kansas City Chiefs and L.A. Rams during the ‘16 preseason.
Kovacs is taking over the coaching position previously held by Robert Livingston, who has left the Bengals to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

Raiders need an upgrade from Aidan O'Connell and Jimmy Garropolo. They might give a 2nd for a new QB. Justin Fields or Jake Browning would probably be worth that. Sam Howell would fetch lower compensation.
I'd be fine with trading Browning straight up for Michael Mayer and moving McCarron to QB2.
Call me crazy but I would be all for trading Browning for a second round pick.
I think McCarron has enough tread on his tires via tools and experience to be an excellent backup.
Besides, I think he has a chip on his shoulder (in a good way) to want to prove a point with the Bengals.
Three picks in the top two rounds and so many O linement to choose from.Mimis, Latham, Guyton, Fugal... one should be there
and throw intriguing Center/Interior Line Jackson Powers-Johnson or DL T Sweat into the mix for a high second. Trade up.
But a second for Browning... yes, please.

Id really like to see them grab Joe Milton late.
He needs alot of tutoring but his athleticism and that GUN of an arm make him very intriguing..
Dan Pitcher could work with this kid that hasn't tapped the potential
In his game yet
I think ole Danno would embrace that challenge .
Would Duke and Katy even give it much thought?
Not another project with great potential.
Those guys seem to never work out.

What does this have to do with what I said? I don't come here as often maybe because of snide arse comments like this. And to think I thought you were a good one. Old age getting to you?
WAIT A MINUTE... what did I say that was offensive or aimed at you?
Dang, Mr J@w... I would never do anything close to anything like that about you of all people.
Sorry if I somehow unintentionally did or something I said came off that way. Seriously.

Might have something to do with the fact that they had 44 sacks and ~40% of them came from one guy.
And a couple others were injured.
Hubbard, we now find out, and Ossai.

I don’t know anything about him - but interesting.
I really like this guy.
I was originally thinking/hoping Round 2
but am now thinking if we don't take him in Round 1
Pittsburgh will and in typical Pittsburgh Center form, abuse us
for the next decade.
Can actually see Pittsburgh drafting up to get him if they think we are
interested like the did with (name slips my mind)
High School Harry's other draft faves,
Mims, (now) Guyton and Sweat could slide to Round 2
and if so, trade up and grab one.

I'm sorry, but I just don't care about the Pro Bowl. Not in the former incarnation, not in the new "video game" incarnation.
The players - if they're into it, then good for them! I imagine the draw for them and their wives/family was stronger when it was hosted in Hawaii, since Orlando is such a Mickey Mouse town, but again.... if this is fun for them and they're all happy to be there, that's all that matters IMO.
Was it this board or another where one of the posters said he was in the service in/near one of the places it was held (Hawaii?) and they were
giving tix to the guys on base just to have people in the stands.

The New England Patriots announced Thursday that they hired Alex Van Peltas the offensive coordinator on head coach Jerod Mayo's staff.
Van Pelt joins the Patriots from the Cleveland Browns, with whom he spent the past four seasons as offensive coordinator under head coach Kevin Stefanski.

I think they are going to have to knock this off season out of the park.
Fantastic and creative draft, maybe one quality free agent who is not home grown
and perhaps in the interior D line.
No more Cody Fords, Irv Smith, or Nick Scott.
They simply cannot screw around and screw it up.
