I mean Mims has started a grand total of 9 games in his college career and Latham has been about as inconsistent as you can possibly be in his. I have a really hard time believing those guys end up first round picks no matter what all of these mock draft simulations are saying.

I mean, who are the “glass eaters”? Mostly what I see are QB’s getting harassed and running around and making plays out of structure. Detroit OL has been the best I’ve seen so far in the playoffs. That said, still no way I’m trading Chase for Sewell.

We’re living in a completely different era as far as the OL goes. It’ll never be like it was. We struggle to find good ones just like everyone else does now simply because they’re so few and far between. It is what it is.

I was a Jake Fisher fan. Thought it was a home run pick. Unfortunately I underestimated the effects of what playing in a spread offense does to o-linemen. I know I sound like a broken record…but…it’s not just the Bengals that are struggling to draft good OL, the entire league is being affected. The advent of the spread in college has completely decimated NFL OL rooms.

Didn’t the Bengals just go 9-8 playing the hardest schedule in the NFL with a backup QB for over half the season? The players love the guy. They play their dicks off for him each and every week. Since when doesn’t that count for something?
