  1. Joe Goodberry, Who I like, said on Hoards podcast that this was the most important offseason in Bengals history.....I think that's absurd hyperbole. At worst we return. You worry about your RT. But there have been super bowl teams with this level of talent right here. Great QB, Elite WR, Decent OL with one weakness, elite pass rusher, stud Corner. To me this is a can miss offseason. It's an easy one.
  2. According to PFF he pas blocked 8 times and had a grade of 26.7. About as low as you can get
  3. Everybody's working for the weekend!!!! -Hendrickson is a stud -Murphy is on the rise -Hubbard has been talked about as a cut/restructure candidate. I don't see it as he was playing hurt last year is a team captain and normally a great run stuffer -Ossai flashed a tiny bit at the end of the year. He is in his final year and never really put anything together -Sample is completely unsung, a very steady force as a LE -Gunter is back as a futures bro. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_oGEDBZnU6LESfPLyD8apeXSKI-OJ4Z8IWYd7YcnAsM/edit?usp=sharing Draft Order Cap DE/Edge Age Overall Run D Pass Rush Coverage Snaps Starts 2023/Career stats Notes Hendrickson-Bengals 29 82.3 51 90.7 47.5 742 17/64 43-16fl-25h-17.5s-3ff-3pd 721Out Hubbard-Bengals 28 61.9 61.1 57.5 73.6 713 15/74 58-7fl-17h-6s-2fr 672Out Ossai-Bengals 24 68.4 64.2 64.1 65.9 177 0/0 10-1fl-7h-1s-1pd 126Out Sample-Bengals 25 61.6 61.8 62.4 49.8 375 2/3 29-1fl-8h-1.5s-1pd 291Out Murphy-Bengals 22 56.2 46.8 64.3 58.6 304 0/0 20-3fl-3h-3s 288Out Gunter-Bengals 25 Edge 3 Van Ginkel-Dolphins 29 91.1 76.3 90.6 87.3 727 11/42 69-8fl-19h-6s-2fr-8pd-1int 561 Out Hobby 20 IR-Foot 7 Gipson-Titans 27 89.6 66.3 89.3 62.7 76 0/19 6-1s-1ff 118.7 6'4 263 Allen-Jaguars 27 89.5 73.2 89.4 62.8 880 17/60 66-17fl-33h-17.5s-2ff-1pd-1int 855 Out Graham-Eagles 36 84 72.1 80.2 69 427 0/105 16-4fl-6h-3s-1pd 336OUT 6 Smith-Browns 32 83.1 59.7 86.8 87.1 603 16/80 27-8fl-20h-5.5s-1ff-3pd 507Out 10 Clowney-Ravens 31 82.9 74.6 79 62.6 747 15/113 43-9fl-19h-9.5s-1fr-2ff-5pd 633 Out Barnett-Texans 28 82.4 74.3 73.9 77.4 415 4/49 22-9fl-11h-2,5s-1pd 306Out Hendrickson-Bengals 29 82.3 51 90.7 47.5 742 17/64 43-16fl-25h-17.5s-3ff-3pd 721Out 10 Huff-Jets 26 79.7 48.1 86.8 68.2 481 0/7 19-10fl-21h-10s-1pd 457 OUT Greenard-Texans 27 76.6 69.7 72.9 69.1 697 15/32 52-15fl-22h-12.5s-1ff-2pd 612Out 2 Epenesa-Bills 26 75.8 53 75 85.2 438 1/4 20-7fl-10h-6.5s-1fr-1ff-8pd-1int 383 Out 10 Van Noy-Ravens 34 75 55.7 77.2 69.5 562 3/89 30-9fl-9h-0s-2ff-4pd 464 Out Hobby 20 10 Harrison-Ravens 26 74.3 71.1 66.5 69.4 226 8/27 20-1h 167 Out Lewis-Colts 29 73.7 61.9 76.6 60 703 0/16 25-9fl-13h-4s 292Out-102OVT Young-49ers 25 73.6 63.1 74.5 64.7 836 6/32 25-7fl-15h-7.5s-2pd 717Out 1 Haynes-Panthers 30 71.9 84.3 56.5 60.1 142 1/2 16-3fl-2h-1s 138Out 8 Armstrong-Cowboys 27 69.6 58.1 69.7 72.4 468 1/14 38-7fl-12h-7.5s-1pd 303 Out Ossai-Bengals 24 68.4 64.2 64.1 65.9 177 0/0 10-1fl-7h-1s-1pd 126Out Hughes-Texans 36 67.7 58.4 67.2 64.8 474 2/152 32-ffl-3h-3s-1ff 464Out 8 Fowler-Cowboys 30 63.8 62 69.9 64.3 275 0/40 13-5fl-7h-4s-1ff-3pd 257 Out Hobby 2017 Wonnum-Vikings 27 62.3 68.6 56.8 53.4 826 14/31 62-7fl-15h-8s-1fr-6pd Martin-Colts 28 62.1 49.7 71.5 192 0/15 7-1fl-3h-2s 189 Out 8 Gaziano-Falcons 28 62 62.3 57.3 48 0/1 2 40Out Hubbard-Bengals 28 61.9 61.1 57.5 73.6 713 15/74 58-7fl-17h-6s-2fr 672Out Sample-Bengals 25 61.6 61.8 62.4 49.8 375 2/3 29-1fl-8h-1.5s-1pd 291Out Ferrell-49ers 27 60.7 47.4 60.4 67.6 471 17/47 28-6fl-13h-3.5s-1fr-1ff-1pd 453Out 10 Lawson-Jets 29 60.3 64.8 53.6 101 0/31 5 99 Out Okwara-Lions 26 60.2 72.7 62.5 47.3 120 1/4 7-2fl-4h-2s-1pd 118 Out 2 Floyd-Bills 32 58.7 56.1 64.3 33.4 627 16/120 32-9fl-19h-10.5s-1ff-1pd 564 Out 2 Smith-Williams-Commanders 27 58.6 61.4 50 69.3 418 7/27 22-2fl-8h-1s 403 OUT Ogbah-Dolphins 31 57.2 39.7 67.1 74.7 248 1/71 20-3fl-9h-5.5s-1ff-2pd-1int 242Out Hobby 20 CC Murphy-Bengals 22 56.2 46.8 64.3 58.6 304 0/0 20-3fl-3h-3s 288Out 8 Dupree-Falcons 31 56 65.4 51.3 48.6 725 16/99 39-8fl-8h-6.5s-3pd 719OUT Harris-Lions 29 55.9 64.8 53.7 64.6 291 3/30 13-2fl-5h-1,5s 436 Out Captain Davenport-Vikings 28 55.4 52.3 60.1 53.4 118 3/35 7-2fl-4h-2s 90Out Chaisson-Jaguars 25 54.7 58 58.2 60.1 283 0/11 13-4fl-8h-2s-1pd 268 Out 2 Toohill-Commanders 28 52.1 51.7 54 49.6 494 8/14 26-6fl-7h-5s-1fr 490 Out 9 Green-Bears 27 50.6 48.7 52.1 66 385 0/29 15-2fl-5h-2s 348 Out Murchison-Rams 27 48.6 53.4 46.2 261 3/8 16-1h 136B-80OVT Lawson-Bills 30 46.2 48.5 54.5 36.7 354 1/38 13-2fl-7h-1s 299 Out Hobby 15, 20 Gregory-49ers 32 45.6 56 53.7 40.3 461 3/18 20-6fl-10h-3.5s-1pd 410Out 1 Wormley-Panthers 30 44.3 41.5 62.6 46 0/31 4 8B-33OV-4Out 5 Ward-Giants 30 42.4 40.4 53.9 49.5 661 9/35 24-5fl-9h-5s-1fr-1ff 471OUT-111OVT Smoot-Jaguars 29 42.4 38.4 50 47.6 340 0/17 10-1s-1ff 174 Out-122 OVT Hobby 2018 9 Ngakoue-Bears 29 39.9 37.7 47.6 52.6 592 13/115 22-6fl-7h-4s 586 Out Hobby 2018 4 Collier-Cardinals 29 37 47.4 43 37 1/17 2 23B-14OVT Left End 8 Campbell-Falcons 38 80 80.2 68.5 63.1 712 17/225 56-10fl-17h-6.5s 447Out-164OVT Hobby 17 Danna-Chiefs 26 65.7 61.6 59.5 69.1 874 16/23 50-7fl-13h-6.5s-3pd 504Out-111B 7 Autry-Titans 34 61.7 52 66 68.7 767 14/89 50-12fl-17h-11.5s-4pd-2ff 494OUT-223 OV 6'5 285 10 Jefferson-Jets 31 52.9 38.8 73.2 60.8 468 14/62 34-4fl-13h-6s-1fr-1ff 242OVT-182B Bullard-Vikings 31 46.4 53.8 46.9 59.8 643 14/36 44-3fl-2h-2s-1ff 278OVT-239B-121Out This spot is a bit of a conundrum. We like the guys we gave, but want them to be better. 1. Carl Lawson makes sense coming back on a vet min deal 2. I have always loved Darnell Autry and he can play inside....but he will be 34
  4. I cant spend back to back draft picks on punters
  5. I have been wrong before but Sample and Hudson seem like they will definitely be back.
  6. There has been talk of Jonnu Smith being released. We will likely be losing a lot of high priced FAs, it might make sense to look heavily at these cap casualties.
  7. He is intertwined with the team and a leader I think. They will want to reward that. He was also exceptionally versatile which helped with what we do a lot. Played FB, Hback, TE.
  8. Josh Oliver just went for 3 years 21 million. I think Sample won't get that. I'd bet 3years 9-12 million
  9. 2 friends kids both went to catholic schools, both took advantage of this, both were definitely fine paying it 1-Friend 1's school basically sent a memo home that said don't worry about this we still have ways to keep people out we don't want to go here. 2-Friend 2's school increased tuition by 2/3rds this year
  10. Hopefully you have all cooled down from the hot Punter talk Now for the biggest need on the team. -Hill is back and solid -Reader is a FA, he is very important but old -Tupou is a FA and maybe not so great -Carter is a not a FA but bad at sports -Tufele is back and solid -We added Travis Bell for this very situation. -Don't sleep on Dominique Davis but he's actually already 28 -Don't sleep on DeVonsha Maxwell who was on IR all year. Wilkins played for Hobby at Clemson and in Miami -DaQuan Jones could be cheap. He didn't play much but has been impactful in the past. -Malcolm Roach has good PFF scores but not a ton of production, just 26 -DeShawn Williams sort of got his start here before disappearing....But he is back and was coached by Hobby at Clemson At Nose tackle-It's harder to tell who really is a nose. Reader saw 421 snaps in the B gap and 106 A. I just put anyone similar in this category. -Tart was an interesting one we put in a bid for in the season after he was released by Tennessee -Raekwon Davis was coached by Hobby, is 335 pounds only started 7 games for a Miami team in cap trouble. PFF scores aren't great -John Jenkins is 35 but was coached by Betcher in 18 and Hobby in 19. He could be a veteran rotational guy.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me if Callahan signs some of our fringe guys to help ease in. Sample-Hudson-Wilcox-Irwin-Traeveyon Williams all could fit that mold. Sample is the most important of that group. I assume we give him a surprisingly large multi-year deal
  12. You didn't ask for it....but I know you want it bad.....Hot Punter talk! Robbins was pretty bad.....but as a draft pick he's an investment and I think they will give him another chance. I assume it won't be guys at the top of this list, more like they do what they did last year at TE. Wait until the seats are all gone in the musical chairs game and then offer a vet min deal for the last guy without a chair to compete for the spot. P is weird though because the highest paid FA on this list made less than 3M last year, so it's not really a big spend to pay the best bros. Stonehouse is likely going nowhere, he is just there because he's on the only team that is currently carrying 2 punters. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_oGEDBZnU6LESfPLyD8apeXSKI-OJ4Z8IWYd7YcnAsM/edit?usp=sharing Draft Order Cap P Age Overall stats Notes 6 Bojorquez-Browns 28 79 87-49.4-73-31 Stonehouse-Titans 25 73.8 53-53.1-74-30 2025 10 Morstead-Jets 38 72.9 99-48.8-36 3 Bailey-Dolphins 27 69.6 53-45.7-66-20 Gilliken-Cardinals 25 69 51-50.6-77-11 Townsend-Chiefs 27 67.2 59-47.1-68-20 Haack-SFA 30 65.4 3-51.7-56-0 Bills Mann-Eagles 26 64.7 44-49.8-63-15 Sanchez-Colts 30 64.4 68-48.3-69-21 Johnston-Texans 32 62.9 66-47.7-74-30 Siposs-SFA 31 59.1 8-43.4-54-2 Wing-Brahmas 33 58.9 11-45-52-3 Cooney-SFA 28 58.4 13-45.5-56-2 Chrisman-FA 27 57.5 28-47.8-65-13 Stats from 2022 Robbins-Bengals 26 56.7 76-44.3-62-20 2027 Harvin-Stealers 26 51.2 78-43.8-63-30 CC Zetner-Titans 26 46.9 38-44.9-64-10 2025 Araiza-FA 24 Chiefs Wadman-Stallions Brooks-Defenders Niswander-Roughnecks Hofrichter-Battlehawks White-Showboats Miller-Panthers 1-Gilliken is just 25 and just punted well. It's a bad team too so maybe he'd leave for a winning team? 2-Haack is currently a free agent and very much available. He was great in his 3 punts last year....but has been cut in the past. 3-Can't ignore punt god although he might be a huge d bag 4-I included the UFL punters because I think it makes sense to just grab the best one and let him compete. No position translates as easily.
  13. Both beloved by teammates, the assistant special teams role has gone to a guy who hasn't had a ton of coaching experience Thomas played all teams. Huber punted for like 20 years. Huber is still in the city I think
  14. We should all follow the Battlehawks. XFL was fun for what it is.
  15. I have been pretty foreclosed about Higgins back with a new starter in the slot. But lets say they go the other way. Boyd back and a new starter on the outside. Yoshi certainly flashed the most of the rookie WRs. I don't think it's out of line to say he showed he could develop eventually into an impact 2nd WR. However, I wouldn't bet on this year being the year. So you'd have to pair him with an adequate veteran. Who is that? Josh Reynolds, Noah Brown, DJ Chark, KJ Osborn, Van Jefferson, Peoples-Jones?
  16. I have long wanted a developmental Basketball player as a practice squad guy at tight end. This is the UDFA for me this year
  17. An interesting find in my "Who did my coaches coach before at other places" research. Gabe Davis played for Troy Walters at UCF. There isn't a terrible argument to pay Gabe Davis and let Higgins walk and use the savings elsewhere. Davis isn't Higgins but he's an obvious starter.
  18. Starting to build my roster. This is where i have landed QB Burrow 29 Browning 24 McCarron 24 UDFA RB Mixon 25 Brown 27 Draft Pick Johnson Evans 25 UDFA At RB 1-Mixon, cut in March but re-signed a few weeks later cuts a couple of million off his contract, his last year 2-Brown may be the future and now in a rotational role 3-Mid round draft pick, not before round 4 4-Ty Johnson-I have been interested in him for years. Great elusive rating, kick return experience, and special teams tackles, just 27 and played for our assistant QBs coach @ Maryland. Should be on a vet min deal 5-Evans who is a free agent next year 6-UDFA Flyer If you wanted to replace Mixon with Zach Moss I wouldn't kick you out of bed for eating crackers but I just don't think he is an obvious upgrade. (As for QB Burrow-Browning-McCarron after he plays at Battlehawks...he wants to coach eventually and I think you put him in the pipeline and then I love Tua's brother fro the PS QB)
  19. OL time for the weekend! C-Karras back but maybe switch to LG? RG-Kappa LT-Brown LG-Probably Volson RT-Williams done here, he was disgruntled I think ---- Depth they like Ford and Scharping I thnk as 2 versatile vets. Both FAs I expect back Hill-Smith and Carman are all from the same do nothing draft class. They like Kirkland, Cochran and Gilliam. coached by our new passing game coordinator in Denver 2-3-James and Biadasz are both solid and would start for a bit 4-Harris is interesting, Just 25 and only a C at 6'1 but solid in all his chances RT 1-Eleumounour keeps flirting with us on Twitter...seems inevitable 2-Onwenu probably gets the biggest paydays 3-Fant was coached by Pollack in NYJ 4-Nijman would probably come cheap enough to be replaced by a first rounder. He and Fant might be the smart way to go because they are cheap enough to sit on the bench. Pay attention to the notes column here. So many players were coached by Pollack and Rascati. A bunch of them followed Rascati from Denver to Minnie.
  20. Timing might not fit. He didn't play last year off our practice squad but isn't technically retired.
  21. Assistant special teams coach has moved on to the Titans. Mike Thomas or Kevin Huber to replace?
  22. I think thats what I saw......But he averaged 4 yards a carry. Thats better than Barkley.
  23. I agree.....but I kind of think maybe it was.....Is there a condition where a group all sees something wrong?
