You have not been around for awhile but you are right.

The whole Taylor Swift Travis Kelce dog and pony show is a good

example of theatrical entertainment vs sports enterprise.

    I mean, who cares?

Right.  Who cares?  Not me because I don't watch the shit anymore. I listen to games on the radio still because its what I been doing since I was 6 years old. This go bengals site is like my espn. I come here for breaking news.  But other than that the NFL has lost me. Id rather skip rocks on the creek with my nephew or anything else.    Its also unavoidable because guys I work with are gon talk nfl. One of my customers knows I used to be a huge bengals fan and he's a Stealers fan. So every time we talk he's gotta mention something.

  2. Basically wtf is going on here is that the NFL has shifted hard to being more of a theatrical entertainment producer verses being solely a sports entertainment company.

Probably got something to do with lowering their carbon footprint and being more equitable and inclusive.

The court case will be amazingly entertaining to follow. That Portnoy dude is pretty funny.  Also the NFL will be able to use the court case for whatever they are obviously trying to do. Close up some open loop hole or something so the they can continue selling rigged events for bookies to take bets on.

The betting industry is too big to fail. Just Fanduel alone has like 8k or 12k employees. And that is just a drop in the bucket to the whole market.  It has to be rigged. Commonsense really.

When they started taking bets on wrestling that right there was a big experiment.

    This is all nonsense.

You don't even know what nonsense is.

Nonsense is 2 airplanes taking out 3 skyscrapers

Nonsense is open air fire melting steel.

Nonsense is fearing an invisible boogeyman.

Nonsense is people lining up for miles to get injected with proclaimed miracles from the feds.

10 dollars a gallon would more likely drive consumers to electric cars that they themselves still own.

Plus 10 dollars a gallon would mean that there is basically no oil left and we are in the middle of WW3.

    Not likely.

Um aint no one gonna be able to afford electricity either. $10 gasoline =  $0.75kWh

We've been in ww3 for what 2 years now that we've been bombing Russia

    Some context....

Goodbye car ownership, hello clean air: welcome to the future of transport | World Economic Forum (weforum.org)

This will never work, maybe in a country like Germany, where public transportation is far superior to the US, but not here.

You're worries on this are overblown.

They could easily make that happen here.

Americans are the most gullible and easily manipulated people on earth.

All they need is $10 a gallon gasoline and most people won't have a choice.

Americans will be the easiest ones to get to enforce it on themselves. Just like how the covid vaccinated turned against the un vaccinated and started talking crazy shit like quarantine camps and forced inoculations.

America will be the easiest because  its citizens are the most clueless and the laziest.

  6. Just keep your heads in the sand and continue to do absolutely nothing as your country and way of life are intentionally destroyed.  Just call it conspiracy. We wouldn't want you vaginas to have to actually think or do something that might be uncomfortable.

These companies are members of the WEF and some of them meet in Davos for a conference on a yearly basis, but based on what I know about that event they are not working on bringing Klaus's" visions for the world as it should be". No one is ignoring the influence of the WEF, but I don't believe every CEO of a Fortune 500 company is following a WEF agenda.

It doesnt matter what you believe. The average normie believes all kinds of fictional bullshit.

You probably believe that the moon is some magical floating rock.

You probably believe that 2 planes knocked down 3 skyscrapers on 9/11.

You probably believe that a commercial airliner glided a few feet off the ground and crashed into the office of the pentagon where they were investigating the missing $2 trillion that Rumsfield mentioned just the day before.

You probably believe in the moon landing.

You probably believe in trusting the science.

You probably believe that Joe Biden is real.

You probably believe that the kelece and swift relationship is unscripted.

You probably believe that the NFL isn't scripted either.

On and on. Yall average normies believe more bullshit than anyone else.

That isn't going to happen either.

We already live in a country where people lose their collective shit over the idea of anything being "free". You think you are going to get rural people moving into cities for free apartments and it not blow the collective minds of a certain type of voters?

Because they wont build those apartments in the rural area, because that's cost prohibitive

The stuff people just willingly believe without any critical thinking about it amazes me.

lol   it was never my intention to amaze you lol

Look. lol   You're talking about voters.   Yeah I never really believed that voting is real.  Maybe my first ever election cycle after turning 18. But since then naw. I don't even vote anymore. If the votes actually count then my vote is a no vote because they all blow chunks.

All it takes is for another event and people will line up to move into the free studio apartments.  It will be played as finally helping Americans instead of sending the money all over.      It could be an agreement that WW3 ground battles on American soil take place outside of cities and in rural areas.   All kinds of possibilities to make it happen.

  11. 1 minute ago, Jamie_B said:

There is zero chance that that happens. They are already trying to get rid of the post office, which is the only one of the delivery services that delivers to rural areas. If they are successful, you will not have the ability to get medications delivered to your home, the only way to get stuff like this, not mention your groceries, is by car.  If you can't get your groceries or medications you are effectively talking about killing off rural people, and that just isn't going to happen.

Again, this doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

If I am to believe this and not roll my eyes to it being nonsensical conspiracy theory, it has to hold up to scrutiny

Exactly.  It wont be 'killing anyone" when they offer everyone a free 500 sq ft studio apartment with appliances. If they don't take that offer then they are killing themselves.    That's how it will be portrayed anyway.

Yes, we have the Bird Scooters, the Lime Scooters, and just about any of the scooters that are out there and since I live in a progressive neighborhood 2 miles north of the OSU campus, they are constantly littering everywhere.

I'm not sure if you're in Ohio or not, but I do believe that they tax EVs extra because they don't use gas so the state can't get the gas tax from them at the pump. So, I guess they will get you coming or going.

I don't think EVs are currently taxed any differently than just assumed overall value right now here in Ky. But yes they want to get the tax on a per mile basis.  Imagine having a Tesla and charging it on solar. lol they gon get ya anyway. No hidng at all. Bicycles are their answer.

My problem with this thinking is that it kills industries like Uber or even the car makers themselves, not to mention this kind of thing would only work in cities anyway. There is no way you are going to rent a car for a cross country trip. Or even be able to get around in rural areas. I'm having trouble holding this position to scrutiny.

Well Im sure by now October 2nd 2023 somewhere your ears picked up a term called "smart cities."    If rural people can't get around that is a bonus in their eyes. They want them off the land. They want the land for the corporations. So that they can make sure it is managed the best in accordance with global warming.

Really, and you know this how? Is it like the movie "I Robot" with Will Smith?  Are these life-like robots being built to replace auto workers? How do you know so much info that is not common knowledge? Are you apart of the Illuminati?

No. I'm a member of an investment company and it was my assignment to research robotic companies for possible investments. So yes I know way more about robots than the average person.  You know what the #1 selling robot is to non industrial consumers?? Sex robots are #1. The most disturbing thing is that within category of robot the #1 selling sex robot worldwide are robots made to be like human infants. Yes infant robots that are used for sexual pleasure. That's how fucked up this world is.

I'm not going to even pretend to know what the WEF is or renting trucks vs. buying them, but this?

Ewww. That is seriously screwed up.

FWIW-Our philosophy on buying cars is buy them used, pay cash, and drive them until they die. We usually get 7-8 years out of them at least before we junk them, sometimes even more.

I think you are looking at it more like HERTZ rent a car or something. That is not what they envision.

IDK if yall got those BIRD scooters up there that seem to be littered everywhere down here. It will be more like that. You log into an app and the vehicle comes to you.  I get ya on having older vehicles. I have a whole fleet of work trucks and the newest is a 2004.  However how much longer will we be able to drive older stuff until they say it is too unfit for the planet?   Maybe they don't make them illegal but they tax the heck out them.  That's coming. Rather believe in global warming or not. Its coming down eventually.

So you believe Klaus Schwab runs the runs world through the WEF and because he was wearing this robe he's evil...got it.

Anyone who wears a black outfit is evil, just like Star Wars..that's logical

So you worked in a factory decades ago and that makes you the expert on whether skilled labor exists in factories in 2023, that's like saying I played football in high school and I'm better than _________". That is silly and delusional. Did you work in an auto plant or were you working in a widget factory? You know not all factories are the same right?

So in your mind, you know more about the future of the auto industry than the leaders of the UAW, got it...what color is the sky in your world? How many Super Bowls have the Bengals won in Catfish Bob World?

So you believe Klaus Schwab runs the runs world through the WEF and because he was wearing this robe he's evil...got it.

It doesn't matter what I believe because its fact. All of the S&P 500 and some are members of the WEF working together to bring his visions of the world as it should be.  You can ignore that all you want. You can ignore what they say themselves as conspiracy or whatever.  I dont play that game. I like knowing or at least thinking I somewhat know wtf is going on.

Ah no. I'm only 30 years old. Here in Louisville where we have two plants. I've worked in both and after that I work for government contractor where we would modify the trucks straight out of the factory.   Is it too far fetched that the UAW leaders aren't in the back pocket like every other leader in this country?

That would be a major loss in a source of income for the car manufactures.

Not really when you consider the billions they will get in carbon credits.

Also if they're selling a 50k truck. Do they make more selling it for 50k or having it rented everyday for $200 a day?  That 200 is on the low side and that comes out to 73k a year. Making more with less overhead. Also FORD finances most their vehicles to buyers which is killing them because of rising rates.

  17. 1 hour ago, Jamie_B said:

You've been able to rent cars for decades, and yet the ability to own your own is still there.

Correct. However they want to change that. They won't take away the ability. What they'll do is price everyone out.

How do you expect the car makers will then make money?

They want all vehicles to be on demand rentals.  They can rake in just as much money as they are now if not more while also producing 1/100th of the vehicles that they do today.  While substantially lowering their carbon footprint. They'll  earn billions in carbon credits. If you don't know anything about carbon credits and its markets. That's a whole giant beast in of itself.    But yeah they ain't telling any of this to the Joe blow normies that are striking.

You clearly have no clue what the hell you are talking about, it's not unskilled labor...you act like they are Lucille Ball working at the chocolate factory, so anyone that works at a plant is a braindead zombie.

Please explain how they are sealing their own casket.

1st off the people who run this planet "WEF" want to reduce private vehicle ownership 90% by 2030.

2nd they have the life like robots on deck ready to roll any day now. They have been mass producing them since 2021.

3rd I started out in these factories out of high school. I know that the jobs are unskilled. I used to do them for 50 plus hours a week. The only skill they require is to not mentally go crazy from doing the same thing over and over everyday.

If the first two don't ring any bells then I cant help ya understand.  Ford is going right along with the plan to reduce private vehicle ownership.  I guess that goes above everyone's head and they just want to focus on how much the ceo makes compared to what they make. Even though their jobs are on borrowed time.
