Thick, spicy Texas Chili pwns them all IMHO....especially when served over RICE, not spaghetti!
Coneys are pretty damn good though. I find Gold Star and Skyline to be very similar in flavor and texture.
Oh, man. I love me some spicy Texas chili, especially when my boy adds habanero peppers to it. Man, that is what I call a hot dish!!! I always have to sprinke some sharp cheese on it, add some kidney beans to it, that's some good eating!!

But I will reserve my judgement for which chili is better until I've had my first 3-way and Coney. Don't wanna be biased ;) .

Comparing Cincinnati chili and Texas chili is really unfair. Although they are both called chili, they are really two completely different foods. It's like comparing devil's food cake to Asiago cheese bread. Sure, some of the ingredients are the same, but they're not even in the same class of foods. It's ok to like both for what they are. You wouldn't make a sandwich out of devil's food cake, just like you wouldn't eat Texas chili over spaghetti. Ok, maybe you would, in both cases. But you see my point, right?

Danville, if you didn't grow up eating it then you won't like it. but give it a shot. get a can of chili cook it, make yourself some hotdogs, make your hot dogs put some chili on top, some onions mustard shreded chedder cheese, and your on your way to heaven. let me know how you like it.

but I know someone could make bank if they opened one in Columbia...especially if it was open at night...there's plenty of Ohio transplants down here to get people to try it...and it only takes one time to get hooked.

I'm a big fan of the Cincinnati chili. I catch a lot of flak from Texans because according to them it's not "real" chili. Yet another reason to condemn them. And they never heard of Euchre. They just don't understant the Ohio lifestyle.

It must have been the vegetarian version. Hitler proves what we all know intuitively to be true, that all vegetarians are evil.

How could a state not hear of the fabulous game of Euchre?

Skyline may be the best thing on this planet

I've tried to proselytize them, believe me. I've founded a monumentally unsuccessful Euchre club. I'm the Johnny Appleseed of Euchre. Just call me Johnny Euchreseed. Wait, maybe my inept marketing abilities is what led to my failure.
I'd never heard of Euchre either until I moved into the greater 'Nati area in 1993...I prefer Spades, which I learned from the brothers in the joint anyhoo....
Spades was the game played during high school, college was the domain of Euchre, now it seems to be poker. Each phase of my life has its own distinct card game, it seems.
Is Euchre related to other trick-taking games like Spades and Bid Whist?

I'm been raised on Spades, and my family got some serious players in it. Every family get-together always has a Spades game goin on, and they can get pretty heated at time.
If I had to describe Euchre, it would be as Spades with fewer cards and variable trump. Here's the Wikipedia article on it--it's pretty easy to pick up and is a great game in my opinion:

Anyone ever played Golf?

There is another game i play that i cant thikn of what it is called, it has the name Rummy in it i think and it consists of using 2 decks of cards. There is rounds in the game and each round u get 1 more card to start beginning at 6 and going to 12 in the hand. You have to get certain runs/three of a kind in each hand to lay down and eventually go out.
