Jason Posted June 20, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 I just got it today, and watched Game 5, the last game in Cincinnati. Don Gullett was dominant for 8 and 2/3 innings. Bench was so graceful behind the plate. A stat I learned - during the entire 1975 season and post season, the Reds only lost 18 games at Riverfront. Bench throws down to second, and the runner is hung up (it was either Lynn or Evans, I don't remember which) and Concepcion then nailed him at third. Then later on, Bill Lee dropped a beautiful bunt down the 3rd base line. Bench pounced, turned, and came up firing. Got him. Bench was so amazing behind the plate.
