Roethlisberger confident in no-huddle offense

By The Tribune-Review
Tuesday, August 22, 2006

wines hard hasn't played much football with Ben Roethlisberger this summer at St. Vincent College, but the stealers wide receiver has seen enough to have been impressed by the third-year quarterback.
"Every year he's getting better and better," Ward said.

Roethlisberger and Ward were reunited on Monday, when Ward returned to practice.

Prior to doing so, Ward cited Roethlisberger's running of the no-huddle offense during Saturday night's preseason loss to Minnesota as the latest evidence of the evolution of Big Ben.

"You could see how he executed the no-huddle offense, he led it down there and we scored (a touchdown) on the first (series)," Ward said. "If he can continue doing that, that's just another added dimension that teams will have to worry about.

"The kid's good. He's getting better and better."

Ward, still not 100 percent after sustaining a hamstring injury on Aug. 4, caught a pass from Roethlisberger yesterday afternoon to open an 11-on-11 period designed to hone the no-huddle approach the stealers debuted during their opening possession against the Vikings.

The stealers had previously allowed Roethlisberger to run a no-huddle only in two-minute situations.

Roethlisberger has been campaigning to go no-huddle whenever the mood strikes since mini camp.

"It was a blast," Roethlisberger said. "That's what I've been waiting for.

"We may run it a lot. We may never run it. I just want them to know they can have the confidence in me to do it."

Isn't this sweet. Copying the Bengals. Well, you know what they say....the Stealers lack originality.

Interestingly enough they spoke about that on the NFL network when they reaired our game last night. They were talking about the Sam Wyche Bengals and The Marv Leavy Bills and how the Bengals started the use of the no-huddle and the Bills used it as well.

So in a word yes.

Yup. And plan on seeing Joey Porter "hurt" a lot when our offense is rolling on September 24th.

:lmao:
It's like having your own personal forum. Might as well make up a few aliases and reply to your own threads.

Hell,so is the Bengals forum over there, ever since stealer trolls were allowed to bait Bengals posters over there.Bengals posters were banned in their very own forum for retaliating.

Now it's a ghost town.It used to be one of the busiest Bengals forums.

Speaking of unoriginal, Whines Hard is the worst when it comes to TD "celebrations". All he does is poorly mimic or mock somebody else's. Or he does that gay ass skip thing. I hope he dies this year.
And every team that uses it now is trying to be like the Bengals?
Ok, so thinking you're smart and asking if the Bengals invented the no huddle, you were just trying to be a dick there but just showed your ignorance of football history, didn't work out for you so now you have to explore another avenue with it? Go away, speck. Every team that uses it now isn't trying to be like the Bengals. Every team that uses it now sees how effective it really is, but it's basically copying the Bengals. If the Bengals invented it and another team uses it isn't that a form of copying? Are you that much of a dolt?

If the Stoolsamples run the no huddle this season and it works for them, your stupid ass gets to thank the Bengals for it. HAHA!!

Ok, the Bengals did not invent the no-huddle. They were the first to use is as an offensive gameplan, I will give you that. So actually, when I asked if the Bengal invented the no-huddle, and you said yes, you were in fact wrong. But lets not let facts get in the way of insults.

I guess if we have to really name the people who "invented" the no huddle, we will have to look at the kids in the sand-lot on any Saturday afternoon. But you really know nothing about that due to the fact that after the teams were chosen you were the last geek left with out a team. The team with the last pick chose to be one player short and send your crying ass to the sidelines, where your fat ass waited for the ice cream truck, and this is where you sucked off the ice cream man for a "push-up".

Now do you remember...? My guess is that I just brought up some bad memories for you. I am sure you had them jammed back in some lonley corner of your empty head, and that some how you trolling on our board makes you feel better about it.

Now you can go back to queernation.com and snuggle with Clinton, Stupidman and the super fag Airhead1247.

Did they invent the no-huddle..probably not...perfect it....you goddamn right....it almost provoked a rule change....Jack-oftt4!
