Was listeing to espn radio in teh car. Cowherds producer or whatever got on and said bigben was a product of the system and not a great hall of fame qb. Cowherd disagreed. Then thinking everyone would agree w/ him open up the phone lines.

But he got pissed off when everyone except 1 steeler homer agreed w/ her.

She even got the last word in. He said, "yeahwell. he won a superbowl." Her reply was, "Trent Green won a superbowl. Is he going to the hall of fame?"

LOL, pretty funny moniker for Ben. Anyway, it's hard to say who will be a HOF player early on. Bradshaw stunk the place out his first three or four years. Marino never won a Superbowl and he was one of the best pure passers ever. Sometimes the light goes on and sometimes it doesn't. Palmer is probably the most accurate passer in the NFL right now and there is not much doubt that he will be there one day if he keeps playing like he is right now. Christ, the guy can it a pie-pan from 35 yards, I swear.....

Ben's a good QB, but there certainly isn't any doubt that a strong defense and a strong running game, both earmarks of pissburgh football, take a LOT of pressure off of him to always have to make plays with his arm. He's also the beneficiary of a great offensive line.
When Ben gets uncomfortable and is asked to carry the team on his shoulders instead of make a few plays here and there, he's not so successful. He's having a run of bad games dating back to the Superbowl lately.
