Bengals host first Thursday night game since Corey Dillon broke Jim Brown’s rookie rushing record with 246 yards at old Riverfront Stadium against even older Oilers on Dec. 4, 1997 in 41-14 victory … Ravens QB Steve McNair played in that game for the Tennessee Oilers and ended up passing for 100 fewer yards than Dillon gained rushing. He took a rare loss in a series he has a 10-4 record against Cincinnati, but he hasn’t thrown a TD pass against the Bengals in his last two starts … For just the fourth time since 1980, two teams play each other a week after both posted shutouts … It was the Ravens’ ninth under head coach Brian Billick and the Bengals’ first under head coach Marvin Lewis, Billick’s defensive coordinator for three seasons … Billick can become Baltimore’s all-time winningest pro football coach with a victory Thursday. He’s tied with Hall of Fame Colts coach Don Shula with 71 regular-season victories … Cincinnati's Shayne Graham and Baltimore’s Matt Stover stage a showdown between the NFL’s top two active field-goal accuracy leaders. Graham is at 84.44 percent (114-for-135) while Stover is at 83.65 percent even though he’s been at it a whole lot longer. His next field goal is his 400th and he’ll join Gary Anderson, Morten Andersen and John Carney in the 400 club … Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson needs 88 yards to pass Cris Collinsworth into third place on the team’s all-time receiving yardage list. Collinsworth, working the game as an NFL Network analyst, had 6,698 yards in eight seasons. If Johnson continues his torrid pace of the last three games, he’ll pass Isaac Curtis’s club-record 7,101 yards built in 12 seasons by the end of this season, his sixth in the NFL … While Johnson tries to become the first Bengals 1,500-yard receiver by averaging 95 yards in the last five games, quarterback Carson Palmer is on pace to become the club’s first 4,000-yard passer.
