The Cleveland Turds finished their game with Buffalo with a total net of 17 Yards. Yes "17" yards. 51 feet if you want to look at it that way. It averages out to 13 inches per play, which if I just fell forward on each play I would probably average twice that. This is even more humorous considering that the Browns gained 15 yards on the final series of the game, against the Bills 2nd stringers or else they would have finished with a net of 2 YARDS !!!!

They turned the ball over 6 times, gave up 8 sacks, Jeff "ILoveTheManChicken" Garcia was injured on his first play, when he also fumbled and is out for the year, and to top it off, Browns players went into the Owners office and requested that the interim head coach Robiske be hired at the end of the year as the permanent head coach. this is a link to an article about the "brownie elf" on the turdstains website

http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news_room/h...rts/3984.0.html

i have no idea why, but this is probably the worst logo in the history of sports and i find it facinating

the article seems to makes these key points (all quotes are exactly how they appear on the browns website):

-the elf is making a come back
-the elf is actually a "pixie"
-paul brown did not like the elf
-art modell did not like the elf
-they have no clue where the elf came from
ideas include:
-a person comissioned by paul brown
-a sears catalogue
-the girl scouts + the players wives
-"...the first appearance of the elf comes in a newspaper ad for tickets to the 1946 season opener against the Miami Seahawks at old Cleveland Stadium.
The ad, which ran several weeks before that game, includes the elf, with a mean look on his face, running with a football."
-The Cleveland Plain Dealer helped popularize the elf. The late Gordon Cobbledick, the former sports editor, decided to use the elf caricature on the front page of his section to accompany coverage of the Browns, especially game stories. The use would even reach to the front page of the entire paper on certain occasions.
If the Browns had won the day before, the Brownie elf would be smiling broadly. But if they lost, the elf would appear battered and bruised. He would have a black eye, some bandages or a cast, and maybe a few missing teeth. It’s the same way the paper treated the Indians via their Chief Wahoo character.
So fans who had missed the previous day’s game – remember, this is long before ESPN and other 24/7 sports stations – needed only to look at the elf to know whether the Browns had won or lost.
-"The Dawg looks a lot meaner and tougher than the elf, but then again, it lacks the elf’s charm and longevity – and it’s not holding a football, either. "

this is the single funniest logo i have ever seen in my entire life, the "brownie elf" is supposed to represent a tough football team, yet they use either a pixie out of a sears catalogue, or an original idea from a bunch of girls scouts, and team wives, as their team logo, what a bunch of pussys, i cant even begin to describe these fairys or should i say "pixies/ elves"

"Here Come The Brownies"

i think the winking fairy really makes this the most intimidating character ever, im going to have nightmares about this thing

i really, really, hate the browns

Sterling Sharpe had a great quote on NFL Playbook yesterday:

He said:

"The AFC North is interesting, you have 3 good teams who could all make the playoffs, and then you have the leagues worst team in Cleveland, Romeo I'll pray for you"
