Ludlow falls is nice. And it`s FREE.
For almost half a century, the village of Ludlow Falls has decorated the falls that gives the town its name with CHRISTMAS LIGHTS and welcomed thousands of people from all over to come and celebrate the season during the month of December.

The lighting of the falls, begun as a Boy Scout project, but is now a fund raiser for the village Fire Department, who spend weeks in advance stringing the lights under and around the falls. Admission is free, though donations are accepted.

The lighting opens in the middle of December and runs to New Year's Eve. Daily hours are from 6pm to 10pm.
Well that bums me out about Ludlow Falls. I hope they are back to doing it again.
If anyone knows anything about it, I`d like to hear.

Anyway, that dude in Mason that had his house all light up last year, and it ended up
on the Miller Lite commercial, is doing a display at some park in Mason. It cost 15 bucks
a car though...

Yeah I had seen that, but I am not willing to pay $15 to see a few minute light show.

Here is a link from the Enquirer about places to see great light displays.

No problem.

Yeah that`s way to pricey, ecspecially this time of year.

Clifton Mill (near Xenia) has a great light display. It`s 7 bucks a piece for adults though.
I`ve never been, but it looks awesome.

A holiday tradition here in the Miami Valley for over 10 years. The light display is one of the country's finest with over 3.2 million lights illuminating the mill, the gorge, and grounds to create a winter wonderland.
Come see the famous outdoor display of the miniature replica of the village of Clifton. Many of the historic homes and places are recreated here for you to look at. The miniature village is complete with a light parade going down the main street and two trains that go around the village across a covered bridge on the mill race stream. The village has an old drive-in movie theatre that shows old film clips, a frozen pond with ice skaters, a moving football game, a burning house, Santa flying over homes, a country fair with moving bumper car rides, and a Ferris wheel. Come see these attractions and so much more.

Children both young and old will delight at a live Santa in his workshop making toys, checking his list and going up the chimney to say Merry Christmas to all, every 15 minutes.

Many people come just to see one of the largest Santa collections in the country. We have over 3000 Santa Clauses on display ranging in new to the very old and odd. The first attraction and still one of the best is the legendary lights themselves. 1.5 million lights adorn all of the buildings and grounds, but in particular the gorge. The lights help to form a waterfall of lights.

The light display starts the day after Thanksgiving and is on every night until January 1st. The lights come on exactly at 6:00 PM so leave plenty of time to park and find a good spot to see how one switch turns night into a beautiful winter wonderland. We suggest you call before making the trip, you never know about mother nature. Call us at (937) 767-5501
I have been to Clifton Mill a few times. It is nice, but the highlight for me is a neighborhood that is just outside of the town. A lot of residents in the neighborhood go all out on christmas lights. There's always a huge line of cars slowly driving through. I'd go again, but I just want to try something new this year.

Thanks again Old!

I`ve been out of the area so long, I don`t know what the hell is going on anymore.
Ludlow Falls used to be so awesome. Ecspecially when it had gotten cold enough out to freeze the water up.

We used to go there every year. We`d go to Kings Island`s Winter Fest and the Zoo`s Festival of Lights too
They don`t do that anymore at King`s Island , or do they ?

We went to a pretty awesome light display in LaCrosse last weekend.
They had big public park all done up in lights, Christmas Carolers,
a re-enaction of Bethlehem, complete with Roman soldiers and with a live nativity scene.
It was colder than hell out though, and you couldn`t help but feel sorry for the people that were in it.
You could just drive thru it, or get out and walk through it. Of course we drove thru it.
They only ask that you donate a few cans of food.

Sorry that I wasn`t more help. That really sucks about Ludlow Falls.
Feel like I`ve lost something...

Every year our family takes a ride to look at Christmas lights the best place I have found is right up the street from me, some of the neighborhoods in Villa Hills have the best displays by far, its like a competition and every year it gets better with everyone trying to out do their neighbor.

In Newport on the hill off of Grandview the Peluso's usually do a big Christmas display thats pretty good also.

the zoo's festival of lights didn't impress me at all this year, i went last weekend. it def. wasn't worth the $12 to go, the few animals they had out impressed me more than the acctual lights did, the only cool thing they had was a tunnel of lights as you first walk in.
