Not positive who has a bigger fanbase but during one of the CBS tournament broadcasts they said that the UK Cat/tongue is the most recognizable basketball symbol in the world, as a matter of fact not only is it the most recognizable basketball symbol but sports symbol in general.

With that being said it was CBS and they are affiliated with the left run media so I guess they could have been easily lying

NCAA tournament Basketball arenas only hold so much, I'm fairly confident there will always be plenty of Kentucky Blue represented.

What people are mistaken about UK fans is that they think the fans expect a National Championship every year and thats not the case, all they expect is a [u]chance [/u]to win a NC every year, the last couple of years most were smart enough to realize that with the lack of talent that they couldn't even compete with some mid major colleges.

this guy's record of turning around sunken ships should be great for our program, which has been sinking for a little bit... he is a great coach b/c he is a great recruiter, he's a basketball guy, he's a workaholic, and (from what the experts say) is a great x's and o's guy... i would love to have donovan or izzo... the more i hear about barnes the less i like... but i admit he wasn't my first choice... but only b/c he isn't proven himself totally yet over the long haul... but his track record is turning to dust bowls called basketball programs and left both of them twice as good as when he came in... i am willing to give him a chance...

on top of all his attributes, he has had dialogue w/ both lucas and patterson and had a great recruit going to a&m w/ jordan could come to kentucky still if he is let out of his loi... i hated the move the second i heard it, but the more i investigated billy g, the more i fell in love w/ him... this was a step in the right direction...
