He has to be worth a left-handed starter or at a bare minimum, a proven closer and a prospect. And we need to keep Griffey, and I have no doubt that we will. He's playing really well, is finally injury-free and he's chasing 600 homeruns. He sells tickets, there's no way we deal both in the same year. Don't know if there's any truth to that at all.[/quote] Actually, the teams I've heard of were NL teams....LA Dodgers, Houston, etc. Problem is, Dunn is such a liability on defense that it's hard for a contending NL team to not only swallow that contract but take a defensive hit at this time of the year. Dunn looks to be gone, Milton's a no brainer to get rid of...I wouldn't mind trading Griffey either when you're talking close to half the entire payroll for the team goes to those three guys. If we get rid of dunn and milton we'll have plenty of talent and money to build a team, and it wont hurt having griffey a part of that the new few years. Why not put fans in the seat? If he is willing to be traded and a team wants him, then the Reds should consider trading him instead of saying no like they did a couple years ago.
