He leads in every category. He's also on pace to strikeout 210 times this season. That would be a MLB record.
What team is going to give us anything worthwhile for him? We need to get rid of his contract immediately.

I have nothing against Griffey. Hell just look at Griffey's % on that chart with runners in scoring position compared to Dunn's.
Dunn wishes he was Griffey.

All I can say is this: we had better get good value if we trade Dunn. He has to be worth a left-handed starter or at a bare minimum, a proven closer and a prospect.
And we need to keep Griffey, and I have no doubt that we will. He's playing really well, is finally injury-free and he's chasing 600 homeruns. He sells tickets, there's no way we deal both in the same year.

I think a better question would be "What teams in the AL need a DH and are in contention?"
A last place AL team is unlikely to take on Dunn's salary unless their team is within reach of their division title.

Heres the updated batting averages of Dunn and Griffey with runners in scoring position.
Dunn: 11 for 55 = .200 AVG
Griffey: 9 for 44 = .204 AVG

Neither guy is hitting with runners in scoring position.

I'm sure there's a few that fit that category and would consider Dunn an upgrade over their current DH situation, but I'm so unfamiliar with most of the AL rosters that I wouldn't know without doing homework, and I just got home from work, so may I suggest mlb.com?

Actually, the teams I've heard of were NL teams....LA Dodgers, Houston, etc. Problem is, Dunn is such a liability on defense that it's hard for a contending NL team to not only swallow that contract but take a defensive hit at this time of the year.

He would be a DH there cuz thome is ,but I notcied that there outfielders suck. Most of them have a average around 2.20.

Just looked up some numbers: 40% of the total payroll currently goes to Milton, Dunn and Griffey.
Dunn looks to be gone, Milton's a no brainer to get rid of...I wouldn't mind trading Griffey either when you're talking close to half the entire payroll for the team goes to those three guys.

What did Milton make this season? $4,000 per pitch?

He will be around while he chases 600 homeruns so the Reds can profit off of it.

Good, why get rid of him? If we get rid of dunn and milton we'll have plenty of talent and money to build a team, and it wont hurt having griffey a part of that the new few years.

Why not put fans in the seat? If griff wasnt on this team we would get like 2000 people a game, and then 30000 every fifth day when bailey pitches.

I always wanted to move Dunn to 1B, so we wouldn't have to suffer through having offensive lightweight Sean Casey at a power position. Never really happened, though.

Now with Votto coming up, it will never happen.

I'd say move him now if you can get a good young RP or 2.
again, griffey must approve any trade involving him, i dont see him going anywhere..

dunn has sucked ass for a while...

whats the record for strikeouts in a season? he has to be close on pace.
in 2004 Dunn whiffed 191 and took the record, but I don't know if it still stands.
He's on pace to strikeout 210 times.

Hes not getting any younger, hes an injury waiting to happen and his defense (range in the outfield) is not what it used to be. If he is willing to be traded and a team wants him, then the Reds should consider trading him instead of saying no like they did a couple years ago.
