So I'm going to be working at Disney World...unless they still want me...which she said was a possibility.
I told you they were going to find out.

& it happened so...I guess in my face. lol.
Not really an "in your face" situation. It's things like this that help you to grow up. I don't mean that in any demeaning way either. It's just part of becoming an adult.

When I was younger I always had the image of people in their 30's and 40's as being old. Well, we're not old, we're not grown ups. We just have more experiences than younger people, have seen the things they're facing and we've learned what to do in certain situations. Funny thing is that young people just don't listen to us old farts. But that's something that will never change. I didn't listen to anyone when I was younger. I look back on things now and can remember times when someone gave me advice, I blew it off because I knew better than them, and then the shit happened just like they said it would. I should have listened. Oh well, this was a good experience for you. Next time you'll know to do the right thing up front and avoid any embarassment. You've added a notch in your belt.

You know, this applies the other way too. I'm a high school teacher so I deal with teenagers every day. I notice other teachers that have forgotten what it was like to be a teenager. I've seen teachers explode on the kids for silly shit that they did. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be disciplined but the teacher really needs to step back for a second, remember what it was like when he or she was in that situation, and then handle it accordingly. I've seen people go off because the kid was drawing a picture during class, or had a magazine inside the textbook. Stupid shit like that. Sure, the kid needs to be told not to do that shit but there's not a reason on this planet for the teacher to let them have it like they had just murdered someone.
