Best defense in the nation.

You could argue for USF, but I think it will go to OSU.

They haven't played anyone really good, but they have dominated every game.

for what reason? Auburn was an impressive win, the WVU win was good, but at this point who knows how good anyone in the Big East is.

OSU on the other hand, while their schedule hasn't been diehard, no one has come close to touching them. They have the best defense in the country and their smallest margin of victory is 16 points. South Florida on the other hand had its hands full with FLORIDA ATLANTIC last week.

Boston College let Notre Dame hang around today.

OSU's schedule hasn't been superhard, but there's nothing that's been seen to say that any of the other unbeaten's deserve to be ranked ahead of them.

purdue was ranked when we beat them, just as auburn was ranked when south florida beat them. Auburn has since been able to climb back into the top 25. We'll see if Purdue does the same.

I'm not trying to discredit USF's season, but they haven't done anything to jump two other undefeated teams to #1 at this point.

There I said it.

x2.

To add, South Florida was the 6th or 7th best team in the Top 10 this morning IMO (based on potential head to head matchups).

You OSU fans are funny. Put the USF schedule upa gainst the OSU schedule, its not even close at this point. The ONLY reason that OSU will be ranked higher than USF is because they are a traditional power with history and a recognizable name. On the field USF has earned the spot much more.

BlackJesus have you been to any games this year? Ive been to all of them spare the WVU game because i had to be in a wedding. Student section has been on fire this year.

BTW, BC's schedule is even worse than OSUs. They dont belong in the top 5 until they beat someone. Im not convinced that they are that good.
you cant judge talent until they play someone good. troy smith didnt look so good last year when osu finally played a good team.
they played a number good teams last year.

And as far as the Florida game, I'd blame it more on the offensive line getting owned than Smith.

a completely unbiased opinion im sure.

usf hasnt proven to be better than osu, i coudl care less either way, until there is a playoff system rankings mean nothing. until the last 2-3 weeks at the earliest.
