yeah, because Kentucky can schedule stronger competition instead (UNC, Kansas, William and Mary ) and because riots would break out.

they dont want to lose to a bunch of thugs - scared

It could be hard to beat Iowa, but you never know which UC could show up. If they show up strong, they match up with most teams. If they show up weak, they could be beat by anyone. We'll just have to wait and see. It would be sweet in round 2 to watch the Bearcats play the Inbreds though.

Everyone that likes college hoops is excited about this likely 2nd round matchup.
My team played shitty today, and Tubby I'm sure is giving them the proverbial boot.
I don't care about Florida winning their 1st SEC champoinship since the conference was founded.
I care about UK.
I care about a tradition of winning.
No other college team can claim our # of wins throughout basketball history.
Of course, being the oldest team helps...
I think UK and UC will be a VERY close game...because of the emotional attachment of the fans to two programs that NEVER play each other, while arguing fans on both sides always suggest it as the way to decide who's better....
I think UK wins on paper in this game, if it happens (Iowa), but this would be an historic game...likely not to be repeated on our lifetimes...
I am trying to be objective and friendly to UC fans who hate UK...I recognize your team is good....they wouldn't be there if they weren't...
What a game for the tristate! And....it's all the way in Austin, TX...I wish it could be played in the Crown or something....
No, Bunghole, I think that game would be in Indy.

A: St Louis is the hosting city for the Final Four this year, and...
B: What I meant was that I wished the possible (IOWA) matchup between UK/UC would be all the sweeter if played here within the Tristate...
Look at UK's losses and then look at UC's.
I think UK could have beaten every team that beat UC.
Can UC fans say the same about Kansas, Florida, UNC, or even South Carolina?

Tubby will expose the C-USA for the crappy conference that it is.

Smoke some more !

Can UK say the same about Illinois & Wake Forrest ?

Kansas hasn`t been beating any1 lately...and how quickly you forget
that a "crappy" Conference USA team knocked UK out last year !

No, I'm serious, round two is in Indianapolis. I am pretty sure of this. My bracket says March 17 and 19 first/second round sites: Boise, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Worcester. And from what I see, UK and UC are in the Indianapolis spot on my bracket. That's about as close as you can get to the tri-state area. Much closer than Austin, which is the location for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, which UK will get to play Duke in the Elite 8. That is, according to my calculations.
Doesn`t Travis Ford coach EKU ?
That should be a decent 1st round matchup if so ...
[post="61744"][/post]
Yeah I knew Travis Ford coached them... glad to see
the UK fans are so informed/excited about facing 1 of their own

I would larf my fucking ass off if he took UK down !
A 2 seed getting beaten by a 15 isn`t so ucommon ...

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - When Travis Ford became Eastern Kentucky's basketball coach five years ago, he had no idea how bad the program was. Soon after taking the job, Ford had only two scholarship players on his roster and the school's hoops tradition was practically nonexistent.

your talking alot of shit about the most winning team in NCAA history... especially since your team lost in the first round of a mediocre team, while uk made it to the final game...

i don't know, as long as huggins doesn't go out drinking before the game, it might be a good game...

and we (as uk fans) love travis ford... i remember him hitting like 25 free throws in a row, and was money behind the line... great player, but i hope we smoke him by 40 and and i hope uc smokes iowa by 40...

uc stands no chance against uk... they match up well w/ the starters, but theres no way uc can stand running all game w/ the same 5 guys, when uk plays about 12 deep...

I don`t think I was talking any shit at all.
Just stated facts about 2 seeds losing to 15`s.
Then stated another fact about how I would laugh my ass off
if UK lost to EKU in the 1st round

I asked a question about Travis Ford with the 4th post to this thread.
I just figured some1 that LOVES UK would answer ...

And keep your fucking banners in the closet...what does all of
that "most winning team in NCAA history" has to do with anything ?
That`s the kind of shit that MADE me hate Kentucky. Who cares what they DID ?
The Yankees have won more World Series than any other team...
Sure as fuck didn`t help them the past few years did it ?

As far as UC losing to South Florida ...Yeah South Carolina wasn`t
"mediocre" were they ? <_<
And Huggins has had more time to get on his players asses and
they had more time to practice ... they will be well rested for the Tourney.
Your team looked tired ...you should worry about THAT and not
"talking shit" about Huggins drinking and shit.

By the way Rick...I`m not flaming on you ...just poking some good
hearted fun ...I`m actually very excited about the prospect of
UC and UK having a 'Cat fight in the Tourney ... B)

Who will win this game? I'm thinking UC might be able to win just because of the story that there will be. UC can never get far in the tourney and then they get far after they beat Kentucky. Do you guys think UC could win?

UC plays more than five players...
Hicks
Maxiell
Muhammed (dirka, dirka, Jihad, Muhammed)(Team America)
Kirkland
White
Williams

All play a lot, then Bright plays about half the games nowadays too. Thats seven. Then we have two token white guys, and Patzwald is actually a very good long range shooter.

This sums it up. Old Drooler (like most UC fans) is so jealous of UK's success they are beside themselves. Here's the facts boys:

We have the best fans.( remember when UC played at the coliseum and couldn't get no one to come)

We have the best program.

You, once again, will not make it past round 2.
