big_dish
The most sad part is that what his vision was has been mostly discarded and forgotten and replaced with BET and MTV and glorifications of what MLK would probably have hated... They touched on this in an episode. In the episode, MLK had actually been in a coma for all those years after he was shot, and he awoke in the world today. It was sad, for real, to see his reactions to what happened to the black people he gave his life fighting for. Funny fuckin episode, though. My next bowl goes to everyone we've lost in the struggle to preserve freedom.
