I was making a funny when I said the "I am 15, now, and...... I didn't really feel like trying to process all that," whole grandpa thing. Sorry if it didn't really seem too funny, but that just makes the second half of your post void, I guess, cause I really don't feel like going into the whole "15" argument again.

And it sounds like you're saying that society was sticking its finger down her throat, not her. Think someone as young as me wouldn't know about peer pressure givingthe current standards that we teenagers are held to to be considered as "hot"? She could have taken her ass down to the local Y like most other fat people and started doing some situps or something; ya know, actually attemt to lose the weight the right way. It's not like someone by then hadn't told her that bulimia was wrong. She knew it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do, and she did it anyways. Thus, in my mind, she brought it upon herself.

And I was asking for respect in this topic, because he was talking to me as if I
didn't know what I was talking about. Respect as in for him to respect the fact that I know what the fuck I'm talking about, and that I am not just another stupid rebel teenager blind to the whole issue. I wasn't generally saying, "Treat me like a 30 year old, or I'll be mad." Just for him and all of you to respect my opinion on the subject when it's evident enough that I've researched enough on it to be qualified enough to debate with you on it.

And as a last comment, yea,  I do play football and go outside frequently, but it's kinda raining right now, so I'm like..... inside.

As I said, putting your finger down your throat isnt the most healthy way to deal with her problems, but neither is drinking, or drugs, ect... dont be so nieve to think that everyone in this world does deal with their problems in healthy ways. When you have to deal with issues that are bigger than issues the normal 15 year old deals with talk to me then, untill then you opinion is no more valid than any other 15 year old.
Funny, the last time I checked a dictionary, "can't" didn't mean "shouldn't", but whatever...

Buddy, you're the one who commented on the one word. All I replied to was that one sentence, because I've been expressing my feelings on the rest of that crap throughout all of my posts in this thread.
Sad to say she wasnt a healthy body. She could not have existed w/o artificial measures. And please dont go to the "you wouldnt do the same to someone with cerebral palsy" argument...not the same thing.

We dont always have to keep someone alive just for the sake of keeping them alive. Its ok to let them go. I am sure she is at peace, and in MY mind much happier now. And it IS about if someone would want to live as a vegetable. You should make the same judgement for someone you love that you would want them to make for yourself. So asking if you would want to live that way is a valid question.
[post="70786"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
since when is food and water articfical? Yes, it was a feeding tube, but who is to say that she couldn't have been fed... kinda like ronald regean in his late years, and christopher reeve... there have been about three nurses who were fired b/c of michael, b/c they were giving her water and jello.. they signed a affidavid that she could swallow herself... she wasn't on anything articfical...

its not about how you or i'd think about living that way.. its how she would feel and everyone is differnet... sure, you can ask your self that, but it shouldn't bare any decision on terri's life... people tend to change their thought process when they go through a hard time... we tend to improvise...

I deal with real issues, pal. I've known people who have commited suicide. I've known people who have been shot dead. There's some people I know have had terrible things happen to them. I have sympothy for them. I have sympothy for the people that have actually helped me in life, not someone who I know shit about. And yea, I know that not everyone deals with their problems in healthy ways. That doesn't make what she did any less stupid.

Then applying your own standard to the issue of the person who commited suicide..... That person was stupid.

Get the point?

You highlighted it and said we can.

Euthinasia of a human is illegal and starving a dog is illegal in the U.S.
But starving a person to death isn`t ?

Morally ...we/you can`t/should`t starve a person to death
over HEAR-SAY...if she had it in writting or if any1 in her family
besides her dirtbag husband didn`t want to keep her alive ...then who cares ?
Get it now ?

Of course you don`t.

i have heard that this was all caused by an eating disorder

she had the disorder 6 years before this accident... have you guys heard the stories of what actually happened the day that terri calapsed?

first off, here is the bone scan when she first came in:

here are the broken bones she had: multiple bilateral ribs, several of the thoractic vertebral bodies, the L1 vertibral body, both sacrolliac joints, right femoral (femor) diaphylis, both knees, and both ankles...

hmmm, sounds like a bulima problem to me

here is what happened the day she callapsed according to her best friend...
The night before Terri Schiavo was found face down in her Florida home under mysterious circumstances, her best friend says Terri had had a fight with her husband, Michael Schiavo and that she had talked about divorce.

In testimony given in proceedings in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court before Probate Court judge George W. Greer, Terri’s best friend Jackie Rhodes related under oath that Michael Schiavo was upset because Terri had spent $80 on her hair that day.

Hours later she received a phone call that Terri Schiavo was in the emergency room.
now michael wants to have her crimated... what the fuck... whoever thinks this is a clear cut case of an eating disorder... WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!

Yea, I morally get it. But tell that to the judges and the decision makers in the court.

BTW, I think Euthanasia should be legal. And if someone mentions in their will or something that they would want to be killed if they were in a situation like that, would the courts and such allow it since euthanasia is illegal?

The dirtbag didn`t even want to tell her family where he is
going to bury her ashes even !
Michael Schiavo's brother, Scott Schiavo, had said Thursday that the Schindlers might not be informed of the burial location near Philadelphia because his family did not want to turn it into a media spectacle.

However, Michael Schiavo has been ordered by the court to disclose the location of the burial site to the family and inform them of any memorial service he plans.
The judges were arrogant and wrong.

And udner no circumstances is euthinasia legal...ask Dr. Kevorkian.
They would have to turn machines off or remove feeding tubes.
But that is only done to terminally ill patients...
