Opening day lineup

Featured Replies

John Fay posted the opening day lineup on his blog.
He also mentioned that Mario Soto will be with the Reds to help out Cueto and Volquez.
Opening Day lineup

Corey Patterson CF
Jeff Keppinger SS
Ken Griffey Jr. RF
Brandon Phillips 2B
Adam Dunn LF
Edwin Encarnacion 3B
Scott Hatteberg 1B
Javier Valentin C
Aaron Harang P

Valentin or Paul Bako was the only question after Dusty Baker said what he said about Hatteberg.

Also, the Reds brought Mario Soto north with the team to help out with Johnny Cueto and Edinson Volquez. Smart move.

Highlight of the workout was Harang going deep. The fans loved it.

The Reds will be a good team IF they get third base in working order. EE is not that great...

That's a Dusty Baker move.

I guess, is it also a dusty baker move that he kept volquez and cueto in the starting rotation?

He was the best hitter on the team once he was called back up. BY FAR. He also had one of the best fielding %s once he called back up too. He is a slow starter but he is the most talented and most clutch bat on the 25 man right now. Narrons dumbass didnt help with EE. Baker is doing it right.

Or the fact that Votto sucked ass in the spring and they will ease him in. Hatteberg EARNED an opening day start. Votto did not.
Absolutely correct Thurman. Hatte's bat is warmer than Votto's right now. I don't expect to see Votto sitting on the bench a lot though. I'm sure he'll get plenty of playing time this season.
Edwin already has his first error of the season. I think he changed his number as well.

Well Go Reds!

That error kind of hurt too. 1-0 Diamondbacks.
Harang looks shaky... just gave up two absolute bombs and walked the next batter
3-0 Diamondbacks

Cant bunt either.

This game is probably over with WEBB on the mound.

And so the reds begin.

RUN HARD OUT OF THE BOX!!! I hate when players stand there and admire their hits... unless its a no doubt shot, RUN!!
He should be standing at 2nd right now and Harang bunting him over to 3rd
LEARN TO BUNT AARON come on!

He not only stood there but jogged until the ball hit the wall
Plus the throw went over the shortstops head
RUN HARD and he gets 2 easily

Not what i mean.

Tons of cincy fans have trouble grasping reality. Im as enthusiastic as any one of yall. But you strike me as the type that would still say with a straight face The reds are going to make the playoffs, if after 30 games they 7-23.
