Still though last night they kept pitching around everyone, then they would get to Edwin and that would be it. Hed go out and the inning would be over.

Thank you bengalchris somebody that sees the light. You and I are the only ones around here that I think really knows this game. Check out the 12 game test thread I started. We've been following the games there.

he is having his troubles right now yes. but he is a stud when he isnt slumping. to get out of a slump he needs to play. either play him here or send him to AAA so he can play everyday. thats all i ask. he is so talented and has such a good bat. he needs to get out of the slump so he needs to play somewhere. the reds NEED his bat if they want to win the Central. it wont come around on the pine. AAA or the lineup, i dont care where but he needs to be in one so he can work out his kinks.

Even I don't think its been enough games to think about AAA again for EE. But i wouldn't wait too long if he continues like this.

What kind of comment is that about Phillips. The guy is human. He's going to make an error.

Btw bill hall had to get his homer in before the game was up. coffey still rockin'

Phillips NEVER makes mental errors like that. Usually hte only errors he makes are when he is trying to make a play that 90% of 2B cant make and they give him an error for it. That was just a complete mental lapse. I bet he doesnt ever do that again. Thats not him. He will beat himself up over that.

I dont want him in AAA, but he needs to play EVERYDAY. Just like Votto. He had 2 hits yesterday, he should have been playing today. No one can get out of a slump when they arent getting the consistent ABs. Put EE in the lineup or AAA. Just get him the ABs every day. Freel is garbage and has no future here. They have been trying to get rid of him forever. Dont sit EE to start Freel. I really dont like our hitting coach. Our guys seem to be stuck in their slumps for a LONG TIME before the bust out. Brook Jacoby is supposed to be good, but he doesnt seem to be able to help our bats that much.

yes but if you ask Thurman, Encarnacion gets on base every time he's at the plate.

I cannot comprehend how Encarnacion led the team in hitting last year with RISP. Other than the walk off HR last week, he's been doo doo at the plate, and his range as a 3B needs improvement.

Uh oh thurman. Your starting to get over-run by people that actually watch the game.

EE is playing terrible. And has never been that great. He has his hot streaks here and there. But his slumps are longer than his hot streaks. Basically= out to a VERY inconsistent hitter. Which equals not that great of a player. Its very hard to play a guy that through 8 games is batting .083

Exactly.

Phillips making an error like that is tantamount to a stealer fan not fucking their sister.

It just doesn't happen...
B.Phillips is human. To say he will and should never make another mental mistake in his entire career is unbelievably dumb.

He led the team in batting average and RISP for a reason (Kepp and Hoppers avg's dont count as they didnt have enough ABs to be MLB leader considered). It wasnt a fluke and will most likely happen again. Maybe you should watch him for more than a total of 8 FUCKING GAMES. According to you guys Jason Kendall should just be inducted into the HOF now because 8 games tells a career story.

Hot streaks? So when he was called back up in May or June last year through the end of the year is just a hot streak? Thats more like the norm. He has a slow April. Nothing new. If you dont expect it then you are a fucking idiot. He will heat up and dominate like he did last year. DO YOU TRY TO TURN EVERY SINGLE THING INTO AN ARGUMENT? God you are a mother fucking moron.

I didnt state that he no longer can you fucking dipshit. I was making a positive post about Phillips. Please die and go to hell.

Whats that?

Geee looks like a statement to me that says he will NEVER EVER EVER make another mental error again in his entire career.

Im not sure though.....

take anything too seriously much?

There's a line between arguing opinions and picking apart comments to create arguments.

who knows. But seriously, try not to take everything so seriously. A lot of the arguments you're getting into are because you're misunderstanding comments or you're being too uptight to take a joke.
