I, for one, APPLAUD this decision by Karl Rove!

Hell, she is definitely qualified in my book!

Gov. of Alaska, Pop. 17,524, for an entire year: CHECK!
Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Pop. 5,000, all of two years ago: CHECK!
Husband works for BP: CHECK!
No international experience: CHECK!
Proposes solving our energy crisis by drilling for more oil in Alaska: CHECK!
Looks like a naughty Librarian: CHECK!
Boobies: CHECK!

I think so.
I know nothing about her, but if nothing else, it's an interesting chess move considering the McCain camp was saying playing the "Hillary was dissed" card via commercial last week. It looks like they're hoping for the disenfranchised Hillary supporter vote as well as locking up the swing state soccer moms. After the Democratic convention, I don't know how effective this will be, however.
Not at all.
I wasn't going to cast my vote for the McCain ticket regardless of his choice for veep, but I would nail his choice for veep. Very MILFY, and for that, I commend you John McCain!
True, she is a real cutie-pie. Plus if she's in power she'd make a totally hot dominatrix
I really thought it would be Romney. The Mormon stuff aside, he's an ex-Governor. been a success in pretty much everything he's done. Took a Massachusetts deficit and turned it into a surplus, so they could have really used that for traction. but perhaps Romney didn't want to do it as he see's another run.

Obama on the other hand, has to curb the amount of TV time his economic advisor Goolsbee is getting. Everytime he's been on Blomberg TV or CNBC in the last couple o weeks he's scared the bejesus out of the financial community.
That could be. If McCain does win, I definitely see Romney in some Cabinet position.

She actually mostly agrees with Obama's oil plan, which is to finish the Alaska natural gas pipeline and reimburse those struggling with energy costs. She also wants to do more offshore drilling, which right now I'm not 100% sure which side Obama has taken on that issue.

How old is this picture? She had a fifth child earlier this year who apparently has Down Syndrome. I'm not making light of that or pointing a finger, for the record.

or do I ? :hmm:
Admit it, you jerk off to Obama now.

I really like this pick, although from what I've read about her so far, I wish she was on the top of the ticket (begin "woman-on-top" jokes.... now).
I now find myself hoping McCain wins and dies in office.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw this. Actually, it was 'oh, shit.' This move is aimed at scooping all the voters who believe Hill-dawg was slighted because of her gender; now they're given the chance to get back by putting through the first female VP. Anyone who believes otherwise consider the two things she has going for her: she is a woman, and ANWAR is in her state. It's inconceivable that a more qualified male wasn't available.
I just watched her introductory acceptance speech. It wasn't very impressive.

Biden is going to eat her lunch (get your mind outta the gutter) during the debate(s).
I wonder if that is what McCain is thinking. Will Biden appear as an 'asshole' if he does?

That's a risky gamble because I don't think he is going to have to stoop to smear to make her look bad.. I think the massive gap in experience and guile especially in the ways of foreign affairs will be dramatically evident through the normal discourse of the debate.

Biden is one hell of a debater, so you may be right. Perhaps the thinking was that Biden was going to eat the lunch of whatever the reps VP pick was.
